sorry that i haven't updated for awhile guys. well here's part 8. oh and nibbles, don't worry you're not the only one. half the time i think ranvijay's raj patel 2! 😆


part 8:

Jai's cell phone rings and he picks it up. It turns out to be Raj Patel.

Jai: um, hello?
Raj: hello Jai! How are you doing?
Jai: (lying) Just great. How are you Mr. Patel?
Raj: Absolutely fantastic! I've never been so happy in my life!
Jai: oh, that's nice to hear.
Raj: Well, jai. I actually called to check if you got the wedding invitation card that I sent you?

Jai eyes his desk table with the card on it. He sighs.

Jai: yes, I got it.
Raj: Well, there has been a mistake on the card. The wedding isn't on September 24th.
Jai: (cocks his eyebrow) Oh, really.
Raj: It's a bit early. The date has been finalized on July 25th.
Jai: But that's 3 weeks from now. What's the hurry?
Raj: (sighs) well, actually, I can't wait for three months to get married to my beautiful fiance. Jai, you very well know that I am a very impatient man.
Jai: (speechless)
Raj: jai? Jai? You still there?
Jai: uh, yes Mr. Patel. I'm -I'm still here.
Raj: well, I just called to tell you the changes. I need to leave so nice talking to you, jai.
Jai: nice talking to you too…Mr. Patel.
Raj: Goodbye.

He disconnects his cell phone and throws it onto his mattress. "bani told me that the wedding was in three months…does she know that it's been changed?," jai thinks to himself.

Bani couldn't go to sleep and decided to take a walk outside. She stops halfway on the bride, near the hotel and rests her arms onto the railing. Bani gazes at the water underneath the bridge, lost in thoughts. Jai's advice runs through her mind over and over again. Should she take advice from a guy she just met and barely knows? What does he know about Raj Patel? No, it won't be wise to take the advise, bani won't risk it. But what Jai said sounded sense. Bani reaches into her jacket pocket and pulls out her engagement ring. She examines it for a while. "What would my life be if I do marry Raj Patel?…Maybe papa's right,…sooner or later I'll learn to love him?…," she says to herself. Bani shakes her head in disagreement at this idea. "No, I could never fall in love with a man like him". She moves the ring around in her hand. Her eyes look at the water for awhile, before she drops the engagement ring into it. She digs her hands into her pockets and walks off the bridge and back to the hotel.

Bani chose to wear her black skirt with beautiful white flower designs, cute white top with a black half jacket on top of it, her wavy hair out, and wearing her silver hooped earrings. She paced back and forth across the sidewalk, waiting for the tour bus with pia, aarti, Rahul, and many other people. Jai had gone across the street to the stores, to get something for them to eat as they waited. Rahul checks his watch.

Rahul: The bus was supposed to be here 10 minutes ago. (he complains)
Aarti: Don't worry, Rahul. Just be patient.

Bani approaches aarti and pulls her to the side.

Bani: hey I have to go the bathroom, I'll be right back, ok?
Aarti: Where are you gonna go?
Bani: (points across the street to one of the stores) I'll go there.
Aarti: What if the bus comes here when you're gone?
Bani: Then you're going to stall it for me, ok?
Aarti: (laughs) ok.

She waits to see the road get clear and runs across it. Bani pulls open the door to a store and enters into it.

Aarti, pia, and Rahul continue to wait for the bus with everyone else. A minute goes by, and finally they see a red Decker bus stopping in front of them.

Aarti: oh, no. Jai and Bani aren't here.
Rahul: Don't worry, they'll be here any second. Plus, it'll take a while for everyone to be seated inside the bus, they'll be here on time.
Pia: Don't worry, Aarti. Rahul's right.
Aarti: Ok.

The three step into the bus and find their seats in the back, and watch others take seats near them. After another minute passes by, the bus closes it doors shut and starts the engine again.

Aarti: Wait, bani and Jai still aren't here. We can't leave without them.

The bus begins to drive down the street.

Aarti: Wait, driver!

The driver ignores Aarti's shouts and continues to drive.

As bani exits the woman's bathroom, she pats down her skirt, fixing it up. She looks around the souvenir store, and goes through some items that interest her. "Uh, I'll take that," she hears a familiar voice say from a distance. Bani looks over to the register and smiles, seeing who it is. She walks over to him.

Bani: Hey.
Jai: (smiles) Hey. What're you doing here?
Bani: Had to use the bathroom. That's a lot of food you got there.
Jai: (smirks) yeah, well there's five of us, and Rahul's a pig with a big appetite.

Bani laughs, making jai smile.

Bani: Ok, I'm gonna go back outside.
Jai: Ok.

Bani exits the store, leaving jai to pay for the snacks. She reenters the store, looking terrified. Jai has just finished paying for the stuff and holds the plastic bag in his bag as he begins to walk out of the store. He notices that Bani is still here.

Jai: I thought you said you were gonna wait outside.

She looks at him with tears in her eyes, not saying a single word.

Jai: (noticing how worried she looks) Bani? …bani what happened?
Bani: (shouts) Jai, we missed the bus!!!
