Should i feel sorry for a girl who is abused, forced to have an abortion bcoz her kid is a girl, doesnt have her mother support..and has to lie in order to save her life?!
Should i feel sorry for a woman who was abused for 30 years in a row so badly that she lost her identity, her humanity, and her house rules and regresive thinking are more important than the life of her kids?!
Or should i feel sorry for a kind soul who got trapped in a love web and now she's about to enter this sick abuse chain?!

Jyothi, Anjali or Ashta?! For Whom should i feel sorry more?!

Jyothi was looking like life was sucked out of her body...she looked for comfort in her mothers lap but the robot thats anjali only filled her mind with her broken record abt women being door mats..Anjalis face was expressionless at her kids pain..the spookiest scene ever so far!! how can one be so heartless?! Yes she has been brainwashed but at this level?!
So neeranjan doesnt know his daughter is this ill treated?! Really?! Wonder why?!Are her inlaws chosen by anjali thats y she fears his wrath?!
Poor girl was super scared when the witch i mean het mil entered the white house..and she looked nd lied what ashta was saying!

I liked Shloks reaction to his sister! He loves his siblings..he isnt the chauvinist he claims to! He is worried and hugs her dearly! And supports her to speak as he is there for her! She too feels for him as well as Varad! My fav scene today!

Ashta, well she is the same old miss nosey..although for a good cause this time..
She is not wearing the hair band, so she gave in to shlok desire yet she still is almost late and wears a salwar..not a sari as her saasu-bai wants to! Miss clumsy burns herself while "coocking" and thinking abt the sorry fate of her sister in law.

Although i belive that at her age ashta should be able to handle herself in the kitchen i liked that she isnt the classic "good in everything" heroine!!
Sojal plays a trick on her but in het clumsyness ashta figures out it salt and not sugar!
I liked her constant dialogue with her God..shes always seeking his help, and today he helped her! She must remember how to pray later on too as many turbulences are ahead, just as her mother predicted and is so worried about!
Next thing i liked is that Ashta doesnt fear to speak her mind! She is keen on making everyones life happy!! I just wish thst before speaking her mind she should weigh the motifs behind jyothis denial of saying the truth! Now she is on a bad light, beig called a lier she seeked shloks look for support!!
Earlier too she wanted to seek his help but he strated flirting so to blind her again and forget what bothers her! Those reporters reminded him his purpose, theaching her a lesson for messing with his father image!
Ashta is being manipulated and brain washed in order ti dance on watever shlok sings..shes in danger to b the next anjali or jyothi! But will she?!
In my view she isnt as weak as jyothi or as doomed as anjali is after so many years..she has time to change her abuser.. the precap brings this new light in the story..as ashta is again questioning their relationship!

Myra,
I am just gonna copy-paste my post.

Mrs Niranjan Agnihotri
Why I am not surprised that Anjali knows about Jyoti.
She looked hurt & uncomfortable when Jyoti was holding her hands, begging her mum to help her out. But she quickly put on a stern look, filled with venom in her eyes, & told her daughter very cruelly that a woman was born to tolerate. Yes, I hate Anjali for what she did today. But damn, I can't help but feel bad for her.
One thing's obvious - today Mrs Niranjan Agnihotri was speaking, not Anjali the mother. Anjali's dialogue that Jyoti would be left stranded if she made a fuss out of the issue seemed to indicate that Anjali's parents might have probably done the same thing. At that time, Anjali might not have had anyone to explain it to her, which is why she made sure she explained it to her daughter. I think that NA is not going to like Jyoti returning back home forever.

Anjali seems to love her children. The sad thing is that her love is not hugging, kissing or pampering. Her love is protecting her children from NA, by being harsh- educating them about manners etc. which they mistook for her lack of interest in them. And I don't blame them. Which child doesn't want their mother to be soft & nice to them.

Anjali's biggest mistake was to let herself be a victim of this abuse, & stay on. Had she moved out earlier, her children would have had such a better life. She, too, would have been so much happier. But she stayed on, & now she's turned into Mrs Niranjan Agnihotri - someone so cold that she probably doesn't even recognise herself in the mirror anymore.

I really hope that after seeing Astha being tortured physically infront of her eyes (spoilers indicate Astha is going to record video), the mother within Anjali rises & takes control over Mrs Niranjan Agnihotri. No matter what NA has done to her, Anjali is equally at fault & she needs to realise that. If the mother within her doesn't speak upon seeing Jyoti being treated that way, she's not going to be given another chance & it will be too late when she realises her mistake.

Jyoti
Jyoti/Astha's scene at the store was filled with ironies.
Irony#1 - Astha telling Jyoti to stand up for herself & not let such 'abuse' ever happen to her again. Astha obviously doesn't recognise that the same thing is happening with her. In fact, she is even more ignorant than Jyoti who doesn't even realise that she is being played with.

Irony#2 - Jyoti praying that Astha should get a mother-like-saas. Clearly, Jyoti doesn't have a mother-like-mother & here she is wishing for Astha to have a mother-like-saas😆

Also, I saw hints of Anjali in Jyoti today. I think that Jyoti pleading her mum today seemed to be something that Anjali did, too, many years back.

This girl needs to stand up. She needs to realise that her happiness & her life cannot be dependent on what others decide for her. She needs to stand up on her own for her ownself.
I like that Shlok/Varad genuinely care for her. But till when will they be able to stand up for her? I hope she won't become another 'Mrs Agnihotri' like Anjali.

Shlok Agnihotri
So it's confirmed, at least for me that Shlok never turned good. He's been baddy boy all this while. His dialogues today were loaded & a little creepy.
1. Telling the reporters that he's marrying with their permission. Was he indirectly thanking the reporter who actually video-taped everything & from where everything actually started?
2. Shlok's face fuming up with the reporters reminding him about what Astha did to him & his family.
3. Shlok walking away & not clearing the reporter's doubts - Why do I constantly see public humiliation coming our way.
I AM CONFUSED. Does he want to marry or leave her last minute? CVs clarify this also, please.
4. Right after that, we see him ending up at the kitchen looking for Astha. Whenever he is reminded of what she did, he gets this extra push to be romantic with her.
5. I don't know about others, but his dialogue to her asking her how she manages becoming more & more beautiful with each day creeped me out. And Shlok placing his index finger on his face just looked so calculative.

PRECAP : Angry Shlok Agnihotri - YESSS. Finally.

Kalindi
Kalindi's thoughts, were as usual, contrasted with Anjali's thoughts. I really love this woman.
Kalindi, please listen to your gut feeling & break this marriage before Shlok breaks your daughter😡

I really feel sorry for all of them - Shlok, Jyoti, Anjali, Astha, Varad. They are truly trapped in this glass house, where love has grown cold. They need a breath of fresh air.

Edit:

Enjoyed the epi...ebp is back from hiatus it went on since last thu...🥳

Yayy Anjali Agnihotri has returned...not the caricature that was flaunting arnd last few epi's. This is the one we're used to, subdued yet threatening. So, she knew about Jyo hence her extra fake care concern for that sil🤢...

One thing I didn't understand..being as abused as she seems to come across one would expect her to belittle Astha's family alone...as she is supporting her husband in maintaining the image of their family...So y was she making a spectacle in front of pple these past few epi's?

What she said at the end is what I guess most mothers would say... It is a thinking that will never go no matter how much we progress, or what class we r born in.

My mother says it...Be Patient...We had to endure more in our times. But then again I dnt know what her response would be to this level of Abuse!

But my brothers would never support it.

What does she mean would happen if NA found out? He will not support his daughter, because whilst her husband abuses her physically, He abuses his wife mentally/emotionally? It is the way to control women for him, so it would not necessarily affect him that his daughter was suffering, more the taint that would affect their prestige if that was to be known.

When Jyo hugged Shlok ...there is a diff when a sister hugs her brother happily n cries...& when one hugs them in sadness and cries...The happy hug is short..the sad hug is always longer...Shlok's expression said he understood a little that she was sad...having heard the trailer from Astha...bt until Jyo confirmed there's nothing he could do.

So MR Shlok A is back!!!!...I was waiting for the reporters since he announced his marriage...n him to be questioned exactly the way that reporter did..n they confirmed & reaffirmed for us exactly Y Astha is being pursued & dragged to the dungeon of Agnihotri mansion... by hook or by crook...

His dialogues was too cheesy today in the bedroom...bt his expression better!

Astha was saved by her burning hand from pouring salt into the dish...But she could have at least turned the cooker off! Even Shlok was irresponsible!

I'm glad Anjali gave back to Shlok today..I was getting tired of him browbeating his mother...I have a feeling although he is standing up for her now..jst to reassure her till he gets he rto the mandap...after marriage he won't be that supportive, irrelevant of annoying Anjali...for him Astha has to suffer the consequences of the humiliation she thrust upon his family!!

Ok first my favorite part of the episode...the precap...yipeee the grizzly bear called Shlokie baby is back.

Now the episode and I am going to start with Shlokie baby again...I liked his interview with the journalists. He did not like being reminded of the insult that he and the family suffered due to Astha's interference. The sarcastic comeback at the journalists regarding him getting engaged with their blessings was also very delicious. He also did not answer the journalist's intrusive questions regarding Astha hooking him in the game of love and walked away. I think the journalists should remember this question and ask Astha the same question...not now but a bit later. By the way why is his PA refereeing to his fianc as Astha? I mean since Astha is going to be the DIL of such a respectable family and is also fianc of his boss, shouldn't he be referring to Astha as Asthaji or in some other respectable manner and not take her name? So Shlokie baby tended to Astha's burns which are not surprising. I don't think he will hold back if someone is physically harmed. His behavior with Kavya showed that there is a heart hidden deep inside Shlok and that was also apparent in his reaction to Jyoti's problems. But his behavior with Astha when he was applying the ornament was a bit strange. He was being very sweet trying to distract her but is that only due to the fact that Astha has burnt her hands or because he linked Astha cooking to Anjali related activity. I mean Astha told him that she wants to tell him something and Shlok did not want to listen to anything. He then studied her for some time and then increased the amount of sugar in the romance. Wonder whether he thought that Astha is going to tell him something relating to Anjali created problem/worry/ complain and that's why he used romance to distract her? In that scene he is tending to her wounds, teasing her, being sarcastic towards her and also unknowingly developing some feelings towards her...Shlokie baby wonder will happen when fantasy and reality will merge with each other? Also if one compares the worry and care related to Astha burning her hands to his worry regarding his sister Jyoti, I found the latter more believable than the former. When he was told what happened with Jyoti he became very agitated and his hug to Jyoti was also a very frantic one. That hug was different from the hug that he gave Astha yesterday after her parents were insulted by Anjali during the engagement ceremony.

As for Astha it was good that she was trying to help Jyoti to come out of her situation. But Astha did make me shake my head when she was advising Jyoti regarding female rights. Wonder why did she not think about these high ideals of her when she was hit and manhandled by Shlok? If Jyoti is accepting all the abuse in the name of family honour, isn't Astha also doing the same thing...the only difference being that instead of family honour it is romance and an idealistic outlook regarding changing the world where Astha is concerned. I was thinking that who is being more obtuse ...Astha or Jyoti? Both are hiding some truths from family members...Jyoti is not being blind she knows what is happening to her is wrong but she thinks that she does not have any support. In comparison Astha does not even want to acknowledge the truth and unlike Jyoti she does have support. I know that Astha is nave and has no idea regarding how the world operates but between the two of them, I actually sympathize with Jyoti more than Astha and I do that because Astha has a choice which Jyoti does not think that she has.

Anjali probably knew from before what was happening with Jyoti and that is why she used to butter up her SIL so that he is kept happy and that her daughter might get some respite. But why is she scared regarding telling Neeranjan? Is it because she knows that telling Neeranjan will not solve anything because to him daughters have no value or is there some other reason? I still don't understand that why did Neeranjan get Jyoti married to this Abhay. I mean he does not look that rich, so why will a status conscious family give their daughter in marriage to this guy? I hope that the creatives will throw more light on this because until now this marriage has not made any sense to me. Anyway coming to Anjali, maybe she has also faced similar things and that's why she knows from experience that complaining will be of no use. I liked the expression of pain in her eyes before she hardened herself to tell her daughter to bear all this. I also liked the expression of pain and the soft look in her eyes when both the brothers were hugging Jyoti to reassure her. Anjali was wrong but she thinks that she does not have any choice. Interestingly Astha's grandmother also said something very similar. When Kalindi was worried regarding Astha cooking for the first time in Agnihotri mansion, the grandmother told her that after marriage that will be Astha's home and that she is sure that Astha will win everyone over with her behavior. Most probably she also told Kalindi all this to reassure her because she thinks that Kalindi is worrying unnecessarily but I hope that she also tells Astha that although Agnihotri house is her home after marriage but she has the freedom and the right to return to her maternal home if anything goes wrong.

Myra,
Agree that learning life skills like cooking are important but I understand where Aastha is coming from. My mother never let me enter the kitchen when I was growing up. She used to tell me that I could learn cooking whenever I want but I should concentrate on academics first. Even now she doesn't let me cook when I go home. Even on those few occasions she let me help her with cooking, my brother did a better job than me. Good that my husband could help me with cooking after marriage.

Here is what I posted on prc's post:

Women:
There was a sheen of tears in Anjali's eyes when Jyothi was relating her woes in her inlaws' house. But her voice was stern when she told Jyothi to endure it. Apparently, she trained her daughter to be a dutiful bahu but still she faces the wrath of her inlaws. Anjali tells Jyothi that once a woman leaves her maternal home for her husbands home she has to stay there until she dies. What would Anjali do if Jyothi were to suffer a premature death enduring the atrocities of her inlaws? She told her that a woman can endure anything. It was in stark contrast to what Ajju was telling Kalindi at same time - Woman has the strength to fight anything. Wonderful juxtaposition of all the women characters today. Sojal trying to escape Anjali's wrath by proving that she is a better bahu than Aastha. She is shallow. In contrast, Aastha has strength of character. She doesn't turn a blind eye to others problems. She cares for everyone evenif she doesn't gain anything from helping them.

Shlok:
He is a chauvinist but he still cares for women. Loved how he and Varad hugged Jyothi. He cares for Aastha. And I think he cares for his mother too. He is angry with her but still deep down cares for her or atleast cared for her once upon a time. He doesn't mind touching Kalindi's feet. There is a flicker of light in his heart somewhere as shown in Kolhapur mandir scene. Aastha sheilds it from wind in that episode.

In the interview scene, when reporter asked if that lowlife girl Aastha trapped you in her love, he walks off without saying anything. It means that he wants the whole world to think that way about Aastha. Bringing her reputation down in the eyes of the society is his revenge because she did the same to him. But when Aastha called him he rushed to be with her. He likes spending time with her and watching her respond deliciously to his flirting. His character is full of contrasts. He loved Swathi but couldn't make her his. So he is making Aastha his before love happens. He wants to control things second time around with Aastha because it went out of control the first time with Swathi. He doesn't want to get hurt again.

Precap:
Loved it. Whenever Aastha says she can't marry he goes crazy. Once during Kolhapur trip Shlok says he doesn't like to wait and Aastha tells him that rushing without waiting is his biggest problem. That is what he is doing right now, trying to trap Aastha in marriage before he falls in love with her and becomes vulnerable again.

A lovely episode today. I really enjoyed watching it.
Great analysis dear as usual :)
Anjali:
I was so angry at her today that I felt like getting inside my screen and strangling her 😆 I couldn't tolerate all the crap she was saying about being a woman and having to handle everything and not utter a word. Her character is just so weird. One time you feel for her and next you can't stand her. The way her daughter was begging her and telling her how she was living in hell and her emotionless face was just shocking. I mean really how could a mother bare her daughter to go through all of this and on top of that tell her to just handle it as it's her duty. Looking at it in another way I guess NA has done some good brainwashing to her. And since she has been abused by NA she thinks it's her daughter's turn to go through the same cycle she went through.
Shlok/Varad/Jyoti:
agree with you. Their hugging scene was one of my favorite scenes. The care and worry I saw in Shlok's eyes made me speechless. It didn't look like this was the chauvinist stone hearted Shlok. It was nice to see the sweet caring side of Shlok. Varad was so sweet too. I just love the brother-sister relationship.
Aastha:
I just love how she cares about everyone's happiness and comfort regarding whoever they are. She just doesn't like to see people suffering. She gives advice to Jyoti how to be strong and not tolerate what's happening to her but the poor soul doesn't know that she is falling into a situation if not worse then equal to Jyoit's situation. It's funny how she is very smart when it comes to other's problems but stops when it comes to her.
Jyoti:
You need to stand up for yourself. If you don't do anything to help yourself then no one can. Even though I think she is scared to take such a step because she knows what kind of father and mother she has so she thinks she doesn't have a choice other than tolerate the hell she is living in. Sadly this is the situation for most of the girls that are abused.
Shlok:
Glad the sexy beast is back into his game. And all the extra sugary love was just an act. Shlok's intentions were visible in when the reporters asked him how can he marry the girl that humiliated him and his family. Now if he had any feelings for Aastha then he wouldn't have tolerated anything the reporters said about her. But instead he choses to be silent. And then goes back home and gives Aastha another dose of his sugary love. Shlok you are one smart rakshas I must say.
Precap: The sexy beast can't tolerate the thought of wedding not taking place. The way he held her angrily proves that his intentions never changed since the beginning he was after revenge and he still is.
