Myra, Misti, Sam: Good analysis.
Myra: I am busy with a project, so do not have time to contribute much to your thread. Hopefully, I will get more time towards the middle of the next week after I finish some deadlines.
I liked yesterday's episode mostly because the old Shlok was back in his interview with reporters and the precap. I also liked the cycle of abuse in different forms they are showing in this show - emotional, physical, and psychological. Sojal, Anjali, Jyoti, Kalindi and Astha are either going through it or have gone through it. Some are aware and have made "peace" with it, some fight it in their own way, some are trying to fight it feebly but are getting resigned to it because of thinking that there are no choices, and some are unaware of it and remain blissfully unaware of what awaits them.
I felt more sorry for Jyoti than either Astha or Anjali. The former has very limited choices or feels she has no choice.
But there are some bloopers or mysteries that CVs need to clear up soon. Why wasJyoti from a rich upper class family married into this middle class family of abusers. Was it a deal for Niranjan in exchange for some favor (just as Astha is being brought for his own ambitions). Also, brothers (Shlok,Varad) love their sister, yet why they keep so aloof from her. Why has neither one asked about Jyoti being absent in important functions? Why have no outsiders mentioned this either at any function? Why is SIL against sending Jyoti to these functions, yet let her come to her parents house after the function. Why did Shlok not even think about visiting Jyoti when he was in Kolhapur when he apparently cares for her. The script is loose on these things and they need to tighten up.
