Anupamaa: Kotharis target Anupama over failed marriages amid Prarthana’s wedding

In tonight's Anupamaa, the episode starts with Anupama raising a thought-provoking question, why are daughters never asked for their consent before arranging their marriage? She stresses that just like boys, even girls deserve the right to choose their life partners.

Prarthana, standing by Anupama's side, shares her own painful memory. She recalls how one day she returned home from college, only to be stunned when Vasundhara declared that her wedding had already been fixed without her knowledge. Prarthana reveals that her real dream was to finish her MBA studies and then support Parag in his ambitions.

Anupama then draws a powerful comparison, saying that if families can take everyone's opinion before ordering a meal at a restaurant, then why is it so difficult to involve their daughters in such a crucial life decision like marriage?

Her words leave Vasundhara unsettled. Anupama emphasises why marital courtship matters in modern times. However, Vasundhra reacts sharply, mocking Anupama for being "too modern" and sarcastically asking if she wants endless meetings between boys and girls before marriage.

At this point, Khyati jumps into the conversation and tries to corner Anupama. She digs into Anupama's personal life, questioning her own marriage with Anuj. Khyati mocks Anupama by pointing out that she once lived with Anuj and they must have tested their compatibility, yet their marriage did not last long. She adds that neither Anupama’s arranged marriage nor her love marriage worked out, implying that while compatibility might have been missing with Vanraj, Anupama still failed to sustain her marraige with Anuj. Khyati questions why Anupama’s so-called formula of marital courtship didn’t succeed, leaving Anupama speechless.

Khyati does not stop there. She further taunts that Prarthana went for counselling from a woman like Anupama, who herself has faced failures in relationships. Prem attempts to interrupt her, but Khyati silences him. Anupama, however, calmly asks Prem not to interfere and directly addresses Khyati. She says if Khyati is so interested in her personal story, she will tell it later, but right now the priority is Ansh's marriage, and there is no time to waste.

The discussion then turns toward Prarthana's future. Anupama firmly states that if Parag's second marriage is socially accepted, then Prarthana's should also be considered equally valid. Gautam raises a concern, saying no one can assure that Prarthana will find happiness with Ansh. But Anupama gives a sharp reply, saying one thing is guaranteed that Prarthana can never be happy with Gautam. She takes the opportunity to deliver a heartfelt lesson about the importance of second chances in life, women's rights, and the need for independence.

Vasundhara, still bitter, remarks that despite gaining her so-called independence, Anupama continues to struggle in life. To this, Anupama confidently replies that she may face struggles, but she has never given up, and that persistence makes her truly happy. She adds that only someone who has lived with limited happiness can truly understand its value.

After this heated exchange, Anupama invites the entire Kothari family to attend Ansh and Prarthana's wedding. Prarthana too politely requests them to be present. Before leaving, Anupama urges Parag once more to reconsider his decision carefully.

Meanwhile, back at the Shah household, Leela expresses her anxiety over Anupama and Prarthana visiting the Kotharis. Pakhi, as usual, blames Anupama for interfering in every matter and accuses her of making situations more complicated. Preet stands up for Anupama, but Leela loses her temper and scolds both Pakhi and Preet, asking them to stop their bickering.

On the other side, Prarthana feels restless, worrying that Parag, Vasundhara, and Khyati might refuse to attend her wedding. Anupama gently consoles her and reassures her that everything will fall into place.

While returning home, Anupama takes a moment to check "Anuj Ki Rasoi" and is overcome with memories of her past with Anuj, leaving her emotional.

In the precap, the Shah family gears up to celebrate the wedding of Prarthana and Ansh. But Gautam begins plotting again—he manipulates Vasundhara by asking how Prarthana's unborn child could be accepted as a Shah. Soon, Vasundhara and Khyati arrive holding some legal documents for Prarthana, leaving Anupama visibly stunned.
