Shyama came across the realities of life away from the comforts she was

used to for the first time it seems ...

The songs playing at the tea stall were so apt ... 😆 she is mesmerised by

his mere presence ... his whole persona ...

"his tattered leather crossbody slung over his shoulder" ... signifying the

difference in the financial status between him and Vishwa ... yet ...

Chapter 5 ...

"Blue..." I heard him say with measured intent and I got up at once, picking up my clutch, ready to run from the revelation that he'd been known my secrets all along.

"Isn't that what you think as the color of your secrets?" ...

Could she really let him in on her fascination with the colour blue

(or her innermost secrets) as they are connected to Vishwa !!!

But I love the confidence he has in himself ...

"Unless," he drawled, "by classical definitions of metaphysics, there is no distinction

between the one with the secret and the one it's parted with." 😉

Hi Lahari,

I could join this story only now, even though you had shared the PM last week.

I have to say... First & foremost... It is not an easy premise to base your story. And yet, it is one story that we see reflected over and over again, a story immemorial in time... Holding numerous plots and subplots in its labyrinth. Just for that ...you deserve a huge round of applause 👏😃

So far, in these 7 chapters, I am amazed at the justice done to the premise. The sayambar was beautifully handled... Her displeasure at Suyodh's overbearing nature, her last minute slight of Aditya Karan's proffered hand of friendship and of course the acknowledgement of Arjun, who enters later.

But I have loved the way you portayed vishwa and her relationship... The way he ensured she visits the kitchen 1st before she comes into the meeting or sayambar. The discussion with her sakha at the restaurant...and the colour of her secrets being blue... Awesome!

Now for 2 very dumb questions (i am sure i will troule with you more) - Is the blue lotus a tribute to Krishna- koli?

The path that shyama travels with Arjun... Seeing the real world at close proximity...is that a reflection of the jungle..albeit a modern one...that they traverse together. Or am I jumping the gun here 😕

Only 1 point, i am still unclear about... The archery... While I understand the need for it... Waiting to see how it gets interpreted in the modern world.

We merely know that blue is the color of her secrets - that's about it. We don't know what those secrets are.

@ Blue font - Khushi - I didn't expect anyone to read into these next few updates, but I'm secretly glad that you paid attention...the princess gets to see the life outside the palace.

The archery is merely a reason to bring Arnav into their lives. Remember the akandajyothi that has to be lit?

This chapter reminds me of the time when the pandavas 'win' Draupadi and bring her to their humble abode...when she steps out of her palace and is taken to a simple hermit hut in the forest...where she has to accept her simpler life till the exile comes to an end.

Arnav in your story too is shown as someone who is not familiar with the way of the common man, he too struggles with it like Khushi but has no qualms about it and is definitely not embarrassed...so he too portrays a kind of prince in exile state as Arjuna did...

Khushi and her secrets...who do I get a feeling that Arnav has her all figured out...just like Vishwa has...:)

As a tribute...a few blue secrets just for you!
