Yeah...we have crossed YJHD even as per BOI. YJHD was 179 cr as per them. Hopefully by this weekend ETT will be taken care of by a margin. 😉

Chennai Express 2nd Tuesday Box Office Collection.

Chennai Express has been greatly benefitted by Raksha Bandhan Holiday in various parts of India. Since, it was a Holiday in many parts of India, audiences came out again in numbers for watching the flick. Chennai Express has collected around 5.25-5.5 crore nett as per estimates on Second Tuesday. Film total collection stands at around 187.8 crore nett and thus, it crosses the lifetime collection of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and became the biggest grosser of 2013.

Film registered a very big jump of around 45-50% on 2nd Tuesday from 2nd Monday. Now film will easily collect around 195 crore nett by the end of this weekend itself. Film superb run has ensured it to cross 200 crore nett mark and thus, be the second film ever to do so in India after 3 Idiots. In fact, there are now big chances of film surpassing 3 Idiots lifetime collection in India and may reach 205-210 crore nett in coming days. Film is trending exceptionally well and is expected to to do good business in 3rd weekend also.

Collection Breakup (Actuals) -

1st Week - 154.81 crore nett (Paid Preview included).

2nd Weekend - 23.78
2nd Monday - 3.75 crore nett.
2nd Tuesday - 5.25-5.5 crore nett (Estimates).

Total - 187.84 crore nett (approx).

BO Report Card: Chennai Express' second weekend overseas collections

Yesterday, we carried a report on the Opening Week collections of Chennai Express in the overseas market. In this edition of Box Office Report Card, we analyze the second weekend collections of the film.

The second weekend reports similar trend with Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots leading in the US and Australia with collection of $ 1,494,542 and A$ 253,839 respectively.

In the UK, it is My Name Is Khan which continues to be on the top with 448,747.

In New Zealand however, Chennai Express rises up with NZ $ 55,543.
