Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Crosses 90 Crore In 17 Days

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has grossed over 90 crore nett in 17 days as it grossed around 9-9.50 crore nett in its third weekend. The figures for the film till date are as follows.

Week One - 53,37,00,000

Week Two - 27,98,00,000

Week Three - 9,25,00,000 approx

TOTAL - 90,60,00,000

The film will now comfortably go over 100 crore and even beat a couple of 100 crore nett grossers like Bol Bachchan and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It could even challenge the 106 crore nett figures of Barfi! and Don 2,

CP Berar - 1.04 crore

I saw the film last night and it reminded me of the passion quotient that the very cult film Rang De Basanti had. Every inch a brilliant biopic and Farhan and Mehra better sweep all the awards this year alongwith Divya Dutta and Pawan Malhotra.

And while i was wondering how did someone so casual like Farhan achieve that kind of body, i came to know that Farhan did 2000 crunches every 24 hours- and perhaps much more- its not a steroid built frame at all. To look every inch a well-built athlete - Go Farhan!

Please cross the 100 crore mark, BMB! 🥳

The recently released Farhan Akhtar starrer Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which is a bio-pic of Milkha Singh has been creating waves since its release. Now three weeks after the film hit the screens, the makers seem to be smiling as the film continues its unabated run at the Box Office.

In this box office report, we list the top 10 biggest grosses of 2013, in terms of lifetime collections. Interestingly, while the Ranbir - Deepika starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani leads the list, it's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag that comes in third.

However, what sets the Farhan's film apart is the fact that as compared to its competitors, the film is still running in theatres, with various states declaring it tax free.

'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' tax free in Haryana too

After Maharashtra, Delhi, Goa and Madhya Pradesh, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' has been made tax free in Haryana. The filmmaker wants the Milkha Singh biopic to reach every nook and corner of the country.

The film, a tribute to legendary sprinter Milkha Singh, got the approval from chief ministerBhupinder Singh Hooda to make it tax free.

"There was a sole reason behind getting the film tax free - I want this film to reach every nook and corner of the country. This film is a family watch and is made to inspire the youth," Mehra said in a statement.

"I do not want people to wait for it come onto cable television and then be able to view it, but instead fit into the monthly budget of ever household so that they can get the complete experience of the legend's life journey, hardships and achievements in the theatre," he added.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag released on July 12. It stars actor Farhan Akhtar playing the lead role, with actors like Sonam Kapoor and Divya Dutta delivering powerful performances.

The movie has been lauded by critics and audiences alike, and it is running successfully at the box office.

New Releases Down On Monday Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Tops

The new releases were down on Monday with best collections for Bajatey Raho of around 60 lakhs nett. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is still well out ahead as it collected 1.50 crore nett on its third Monday.

Bajatey Raho is likely to collect around 6.25 crore nett in week one. Isaaq will collected around 4.50 crore nett and Nasha will gross around 4 crore nett. All poor figures.

All five releases of the weeks are flops and there is an even bigger number of releases coming this week and will all probably go the same way before biggie Chennai Express arrives.
