Scene 1 - Prison

The episode begins at the scene of an entertainment programme being held for the inmates in a prison. Under the watchful eyes of the jailor, they are brought forward and asked to sit down in front of the stage. A dance performance begins and the prisoners start enjoying themselves. The jailor notices that two inmates ' Vicky and Chandan ' are nowhere to be seen. A subordinate informs him that the two seem to have stayed back in their cell. The jailor grows suspicious, stating that this yearly function is dearly looked forward to by every inmate in general, and wonders if the two are engaged in some mischievous activity. He decides to go and check on them, after instructing the subordinate to keep an eye on the rest of the prisoners in the function. Outside the door to their cell, he calls out for Vicky and Chandan but receives no response. One of the guards says that they might've gone to sleep, but the jailor points out that that is unlikely owing to the loud music and cheering noises from the function. He enters the cell and finds both the prisoners lying dead upon their mattresses, their bodies bearing bullet wounds. He questions the startled guards about how it happened.

Scene 2 ' The CID Bureau

Freddy enters the vacant bureau and starts looking for his lost special pen, only to discover that it was in his pocket all along. He then proceeds to pen down some poems and gladly narrates them to Sachin, whose initial enthusiasm vanishes by the end of the second poem. The phone rings and a relieved Sachin answers it, only to be informed about the twin murders in the prison.

Scene 3 ' The Crime Scene

Rajat, Fredericks and Dr. Tarika are led to Vicky and Chandan's cell. They examine their corpses; Dr. Tarika notes that the bodies are unharmed except for the bullet holes, implying that they were indeed shot to death. Fredericks searches the cell but doesn't find the gun anywhere, which Rajat suggests is proof that the two victims did not kill each other or commit suicide. The jailor remarks that there was nobody in the cell except for them. Rajat questions the guards, one of whom claims that the gunshot must've been masked by the din of the entertainment function. The other suggests that the gun could've been fitted with a silencer. They stress that nobody had entered the cell in their presence. Rajat is skeptical if they were doing their job properly, but the jailor supports them and says that they were guarding the cell the entire time. Dr. Tarika prepares to have the bodies moved to the forensic lab.

A short while later, Rajat and Fredericks attempt to recreate the crime scene. Rajat says that the positioning of the corpses indicates that Vicky and Chandan were already lying on the ground, and presumably asleep, when they were shot from an unknown position. He recapitulates that they did not kill each other or themselves, and there wasn't any third individual present in the cell with them, and the door was securely locked from the outside. He implies that the killer must've been positioned outside the immediate boundaries of the cell, and points towards a barred slot in the door. He instructs Freddy to lie down in the victims' position and proceeds to stand on the other side of the slot. He discovers that it isn't big enough for a gun to be inserted through, and even harder to incline the gun at an angle to shoot the victims. He re-examines the cell and says that the skylight on the wall could be another potential position for the killer. He proceeds to check it after instructing Freddy to question the jailor about the victims.

Scene 4 ' The Jail

Freddy talks to the jailor, who explains that Vicky and Chandan had been sentenced for robbing banks and wealthy people. Although special cells are usually reserved only for the most violent and dangerous homicidal criminals, these two had proven to be exceptionally troublesome and always ended up in conflict with other inmates, therefore they were moved to that special cell. Fredericks remarks that they must've earned the enmity of many inmates, and suggests that one of them might've been the one who killed them. The jailor expresses his surprise that despite all their precautionary measures ' all the security and frisking of prisoners ' someone still managed to commit this murder. Fredericks asks for a list of all the people who used to visit the inmates.

Scene 5 ' Outside The Jail

Rajat arrives on the other side of the skylight and sees that it's high above the ground, meaning that the killer could've only reached it with the help of a tall stool or ladder. However, sneaking such equipment in or out of the jail without being noticed is extremely unlikely. Moreover, the net on the other side of the skylight looks untouched, making him wonder how the killer managed to fire through if he did reach it somehow. Fredericks arrives and informs him about the list of visitors that the jailor shall soon provide. Rajat receives a call from Dr. Tarika.

Scene 6 ' The Cell

Back in the cell, Dr. Tarika explains to a surprised Rajat that both the victims had been shot from two different angles ' Vicky from an angle of sixty degrees (just below the skylight) and Chandan from an angle of twenty degrees, which would've actually required the killer to be kneeling right next to him. Rajat exclaims that there is no evidence to support the presence of any third person in the cell, and a thorough examination of the place has conclusively shown that the heavily guarded door was the only way to enter or exit it. Fredericks says that a member of the jail staff could've been involved. A constable enters and provides them with the requested list of visitors. Fredericks enters it and notes that a guy named Jaslok had been visiting two prisoners named Munna and Jakota daily since a month. Rajat says that they need to meet these two.

Scene 7 ' The Jail

The jailor has Munna and Jakota brought in as requested, and explains that they're being held in special cell 7. He adds that they were highwaymen, and used to have frequent clashes with Vicky and Chandan. The two prisoners insist that they didn't do anything. They grow nervous at the mention of Jaslok, and after being pressurized, finally admit that Vicky and Chandan were, in fact, their co-conspirators in a plan to break out of jail with the help of Jaslok. They staged the fight so that nobody could suspect their joint plot. The jailor is naturally infuriated to hear this. Rajat says that they'll confirm this account after capturing Jaslok, and asks the jailor to name any other potential suspects.

Scene 8 ' The Jail

The jailor brings in two more inmates, Aju and Sattu, who were apparently on bitter terms with Vicky and Chandan as well. The two agree that Vicky and Chandan used to unnecessarily pick fights with them at the slightest opportunity, but insist that they didn't kill them and barely got to see them after they were moved to the special cell, which is off-limits to regular inmates. Upon being asked by Rajat, the jailor explains that another inmate there named Manohar was the only prisoner with maximum access to the special cell, since he'd been assigned the duty of cleaning it. Manohar informs them that Vicky and Chandan used to thrash him whenever he entered their cell, and threatened him not to complain to the authorities. Fredericks wonders if he killed them for revenge, but Manohar says that he was too scared to even approach them. Rajat criticizes the already upset jailor about the situation in his jail. The latter points out another guy who had access to the special cell ' Dhansukh, the chai-wallah. Dhansukh grows nervous and attempts to flee, but is stopped. He claims that he was scared, but adds that Vicky and Chandan never misbehaved with him. He says that he had last approached their cell at around 7:30-8:00 PM (just before the function started), but didn't enter it as his tea supply had run out, though he did observe that the two victims were fine then and talking to each other.

(Flashback)

Dhansukh is seen providing a nearby inmate with tea, when Vicky and Chandan peep out through the slot in their cell's door and start complaining that somebody apparently removed the net to the skylight, leading to a swarm of mosquitoes entering their cell from outside. The guards roughly tell them to go and sleep. They call out to Dhansukh and gruffly tell him to get more tea for them.

(Flashback ends)

Fredericks points out that the skylight's net was in place when they examined it. Rajat construes that the killer, upon finding a suitable opportunity, removed the net and then waited for the function to begin. When it did and everybody else was attending it, the killer shot dead the two victims and replaced the net before getting away.

Scene 9 ' The CID Bureau

Fredericks brings Jaslok into the bureau and explains that he managed to nab him before he could escape. Jaslok rudely denies having conspired with the four inmates, but finally relents after being faced with a rather unique contraption by Fredericks. He admits that the four of them were his friends, and therefore he had promised to break them out of prison in return for 10 lakh rupees. He adds that he had no idea about what their plans after successfully escaping were.

Scene 10 ' The Cell

Rajat wonders how the victims had been shot from two different angles if the killer was positioned at the skylight. He also points out that the skylight is too small for a person to crawl through. Fredericks desperately wonders if the gun somehow flew in through the opening, which gives Rajat an idea. He construes that the gun could've been attached to some flyable object, such as a helicopter or airplane toy, which the killer could've been controlling via remote on the other side of the skylight. He adds that the toy must've been fitted with a camera to enable the killer to see where it was going, along with a mechanism to enable him/her to fire the attached gun and kill the two inmates. Fredericks says that it was possible for the toy to be flown around to any position, explaining the mystery of the odd angles.

Scene 11 ' The CID Bureau

Dr. Tarika operates a remote-controlled chopper toy in the bureau and explains that the one used by the killer should've been of the same size in order to get in through the skylight. Sachin says that somebody in the jail, perhaps another prisoner or member of the staff ' who was familiar with the exact dimensions of the skylight ' must've been responsible for this. Shreya laments that the killer used their plentiful brainpower on a deplorable act like this, and says that the killer must've had to get the toy customized by some specialist. Sachin decides to conduct enquires at all shops which provide such services.

Scene 12 - Various

Sachin, Rajat and Fredericks enquire at various toy stores and finally manage to track down the one where remote-controlled flyable toys are available. They inform the shopkeeper that one of his toys had been specially customized with attached camera and gun to commit two murders in the jail, and sharply question him about it. The guy denies having customized any of the toys, and informs them that his helper Rajesh is the only person who works in the shop apart from him. Rajesh enters at this moment, and bolts like a rabbit upon learning that the CID is there. After a lengthy pursuit, the cops finally manage to catch him. Rajat hands him a tight slap.

Scene 13 ' The CID Bureau

Rajesh confesses that the killer had paid him 50,000 bucks for attaching a gun to the helicopter toy. He remembers nothing except some details about the man's appearance. Sachin instructs Shreya to have the killer sketched, and then look up for any matches in their criminal database.

Scene 14 ' The CID Bureau

Rajesh assists the artist in sketching the killer. Shreya checks their database and finds a match in the profile of one Jagan, who had been convicted for fraud and robbery. She also notes that he'd spent the past six months at the same jail where Vicky and Chandan were being held. Sachin says that he must've certainly known the two of them, and also points out that he was released a week ago. Shreya wonders how he managed to sneak unnoticed into the jail during the function. Sachin says that he could've carried out the deed via someone else, and instructs her to enlist the help of their informers to find out about his current whereabouts.

Scene 15 ' Jagan's House

An informer leads Sachin, Rajat and Fredericks to Jagan's house. Sachin rewards him, and they proceed to barge into the house and apprehend Jagan. Jagan claims that he had been paid to have Vicky and Chandan murdered. Rajat sharply questions him about the person who paid him.

Scene 16 ' A Dimly Lit Room

An unidentified person receives a call from Jagan. He furiously reminds Jagan that he'd instructed him to never call him again. Jagan insists that he must meet him at one Jwala road at 9:30 PM that day, and abruptly disconnects after an unspecified theat. The man is infuriated and, drawing a gun, decides to meet Jagan and teach him a lesson.

Scene 17 ' The CID Bureau

In the bureau, Jagan asks if he can leave since he's done what they asked, but Sachin says that he must accompany them and help catch the killer. Jagan is scared and says that he's enraged the killer by threatening him, and pleads for mercy and forgiveness, promising to mend his ways as they say. Sachin and Fredericks condemn his selfish crime, but do consider his words. Sachin says that they shall soon apprehend the killer.

Scene 18 ' Jwala Road

Jagan waits at the desolate Jwala road as arranged. A white sedan drives up to him, and its window rolls down. Jagan tells the unseen killer that he's being chased by the CID for the crime he committed for him, and it's his responsibility to help him. The killer coldly says that he's already paid him for the deed, and is not responsible for anything else. When Jagan presses him to go and confess that he's the mastermind, he draws his gun and prepares to shoot Jagan. Before he can fire, Rajat disarms him with a shot to the hand. The killer drives away, and the CID chases him in the Qualis. Shreya shoots out one of the car's tires, leading the killer to lose control and crash it. The cops drag out the killer ' he turns out to be Vijay, one of the guards. Rajat condemns him for his betrayal, and hands him a tight slap.

Scene 19 ' The CID Bureau

Vijay explains that he had been planning to kill Vicky and Chandan since a long time, and he finally got the opportunity to do it during the function. He reveals that the two of them, having broken into his sister Archana's house to commit robbery, had also sexually assaulted her. 😡 😡 He did not file any report fearing that Archana would be disrespected by the society, and the two scumbags took advantage of the situation to blackmail him.

(Flashback)

Vicky and Chandan are seen cruelly taunting Vijay about Archana, who stands in silent rage outside their cell. Chandan warns him that if he doesn't hand them 20,000 rupees by the next week, they'll tell everyone what they did with Archana. Once the two thugs walk away, Vijay decides to take matters into his own hands and avenge the brutal crime they did to his sister.

(Flashback ends)

Shreya and Sachin say that staying silent due to fear of social disrespect is a terrible mistake and crude thought, one responsible for the rising crimes against women and encouraging monsters like Vicky and Chandan to commit more atrocities. Vijay agrees, but maintains that he desired righteous revenge and enlisted Jagan's help in having a gun attached to the helicopter toy, and then proceeded to carry out the killings.

(Flashback)

The helicopter toy flies in through the open skylight, down to where Vicky and Chandan are sleeping in their cell. It silently fires three fatal shots into their bodies.

(Flashback ends)

Vijay cries that the two of them were evil and deserved that fate for their terrible crime. The officers agree, but also point out that taking the matter into his own hands was a big mistake, and illegal. Sachin says that the court will decide about his punishment.

THE END
