So far this is what has happened...

Ravan is informed through an aakashwaani that his killer is going to be born as the son of Kaushalya, so he decides to kill her. (Seems like they are inspired by Kans Mama here 😕) He kidnaps Kaushalya during the putrakameshti yagna, locks her up in a trunk, and throws her into the ocean. Meanwhile, Parvati is looking on with Mahadev and is worried about Kaushalya, but Mahadev tells her, "never fear our son Ganesh is here". 😆 Ganesh jumps into the ocean, rescues Kaushalya, and returns her to the yagna. Mahadev then comes to Dashrath and gives him a lecture about being detached. He tells him not to become to attached to his sons in the future, because it can become his doom.

Mahadev and Parvati go back to Vaikunta and tell Vishnu and Lakshmi that they will have to incarnate on Earth...Vishnu and Lakshmi agree, as if they never considered that themselves. 🤔

Meanwhile, the kingdom of Janak is suffering from famine (this part is true at least)...Mahadev tells Parvati that although Janak is an ideal King, his kingdom is suffering because he is a vairaagi who is completely detached from everything, so much so that he has no children.😕 He and Parvati go to Mithila under disguise and give Janak a lecture that some attachment is necessary to be an ideal King. They tell Janak that he will have a divine child soon and leave.

Meanwhile with Ravan, he is flying on his pushpak vimaan and crashes is due to some reasons (I didn't really understand why, it was confusing). Vedavati hears from nearby and comes over to offer her help. But Ravan falls in love with her instead, tries to abduct her, and Vedavati curses him that she will be reborn to kill him. Mahadev and Parvati look on with a knowing smile. Parvati asks some questions about Vishnu's upcoming avatar, and Mahadev gives her a huge lecture on Ram.

Sagars are definitely a saint in front of DKDM! 🤣 I used to blast the new generation of Sagars and praise Nikhil Sinha for being such a wonderful mythological writer, but clearly he knows NOTHING about Ramayan, absolutely nothing! He even said himself that he is a Shiva bhakt, so he should stick to Shiva's story and not venture into Vishnu's.

Nothing the Sagars have ever shown in the past can be comparable to what's being shown now. Even Ram and Lakshman rescuing Kevat's boat seems paltry in comparison. In fact, Sagar Pictures' super flop show Dwarkadheesh is even better than DKDM's Ramayan!

I am actually quite annoyed and frustrated with what's being shown. Ramayan is so close to my heart. Ram is my isht dev. I hate seeing his story distorted to this extent. 😭

I equally respect Vishnu and Shiva, but neither ever interfered in each other's avatars, so it's totally wrong to show Shiva as the mastermind behind Ram avatar. It makes it seem like Vishnu is a secondary God and Shiva is greater than him. Both are equal. The PH of DKDM is insulting Vishnu with their new track.

There is a folk story slightly similar, but DKDM largely distorted it. In some version, it is written that Ravan forcibly kidnapped Kaushalya, wanting to marry her, but when she refuses him continuously (she also curses him that her son would avenge her insult), he is furious and traps her in a box, throwing her into the river. Dashrath finds the box, rescues Kaushalya, and marries her.

Mahadev or his family was no where involved in this story, and this was supposed to happen before Dashrath marries Kaushalya. It's a cute story which would have been romantic had it been shown accurately.

There is another story I read (and which is explained in NDTV Ramayan) that Ravan once attacked Kaikeyi's kingdom, Kekaya. He raped many women there and killed many men. Kaikeyi swore revenge on him and cursed him that her son would be the cause of his death. Since Kaikeyi always considered Ram her son, he ended up fulfilling this curse.

The problem is that DKDM is distorting many stories of Ramayan to involve Mahadev, and give less importance to Vishnu/Ram.

Ahh overall a slow episode but good one.Lakshman ka only 5 mins ka scene but at least he talks😆😆😆😆Ahh abhi tak setu nahi ban payaOverall good episode..BG score is so refreshing👏👏👏
