Well I agree with certain things you pointed out..after all your logic is sharp...but I guess you could try to see things from another perspective too...I have not watched other serials of Gul Khan...except for a few episodes of IPKND and of the ones I watched I found the Arnav's behavior to Khushi too rude and unacceptable( apart from finding Arnav irresistibly handsome like Asad, of course 😉) but yeah...and i did not watch any further...Even Qubool hai i stopped watching for a while due to the same reason...but the thing i think we need to give the Serial makers a bit of tym to hear what they are trying to portray...Does This serial glorify emotionally challenged men??? Yes...But it also showed its ugly effects...and i am sure emotionally chaallenged Akdoo jahapanahs will come out of their own self made traps...which neither serves them nor others around them...

And about films...u are right...I personally dislike many of the so called masala entertainers...but i have enjoyed and still continue to enjoy many dramatic u know typical Indian movies...along with so called "enlightened" films..waise such films existed even before..but they did not receive this kind of attention or encouragement...which they now do...and it is a welcome change...👏

Aur Janaab gaur se dekha jayein toh real life mein toh humari filmein aur serial se bhi zyadah drama rehti hain...haan background musics, precaps, perfect locations, perfectly black and white(either evil or good) characters yeh sab nahin rehti...the drama here is more subtle...more lifelike...which could also be otherwise at times...

As for me...i enjoy watching qubool hai...Do i agree with everything they show?? No way...but i see it as a story (ok..kabhi kabhi main bahut involved ho jaati hun... 😊) and as of all stories they present all sides all versions different perspectives..it is upto the viewer herself/himself to see it the way he/she wants to...

As for Gul's fascination with her male leads being emotionally challenged yet

deeply (selective) sensitive individuals, one thing that she's gotten bulls eye on is about hardened men having a change of heart because they are in love with strong women ( if somewhat neurotic at times).

Nothing spells more magic in an on screen romance like opposites falling head over heels in love and the change that the subsequent emotions bring about in the two individuals...

Considering you aren't familiar with Gul's work, its refreshing to read your take on QH, but as a pretty regular audience, I am somewhat irked that she doesn't dare to be different...its the same ole same ole she brings to the table just with newer faces... Now with a possible office romance track in the offing the deal is pretty much sealed.

Of course the "trapped men" shall pirouette and hum a different tune in months to come..that's the good old romance, ain't it?

The point, anyways, was not about singling out anyone, its just that given Gul's body of work and her tendency to be repetitive ( like Mills and Boons novels, of which she is a self confessed fan) the trapped men phenomenon is being revisited in QH.. I crave for novelty...

It's good to be involved , unlike me where I am mostly critical ..the kind of annoying customer who drives a hard bargain😳...I hate mediocrity..even if its a show I am watching I want the best, not good , not better...The actors, directors, producers chose to be in this industry and are willingly putting in their effort to deliver a great daily soap.. everybody in the tv industry...from leads to crew members to spot boys, work on challenging and exhausting schedule...why should I trash other shows for shoddy work and ignore flaws in QH.. I dish out constructive criticism because each time I accidentally eye some other crap show I sigh and think how much better QH could be. One would think all that experience Gul has gained would help her iron out issues with her next show, but she is hell bent on her fairy tale of a romance release 3.0...I wish a genie materializes out of thin air and grant me my boon...that Gul does something totally out of turn..like Zoya said the other day...going completely out of character...

Btw, the same applies to me, the profession I chose has had me averaging 14 hours a day for 8 long years.. it was a conscious choice and I can and will never use that as an excuse for shoddy work..hence the intolerance. Yes, I am sort of an a*****e that way😉 and I have been a little bit of a performer/ writer myself...

Finally I am in this forum to practice what I preach.. I should change it up, mix it up myself, be open to ideas and views, make sense out of PoV's.. I am trying...I am...😊
