Chapter-2: The date
Taani was in heaven. It felt like it. Not even her beautiful dreams, could have given her the happiness she was experiencing right now.
It was a beautiful place. A small meadow, where nature was beautiful and the air was fresh. She was sleeping there, hand in hand, with her Prince Charming, eyes closed. It felt... magical. The beauty of nature, with her prince, enjoying the first rays of sun.
As the rays of sun, touched her closed eyes, a smile formed on her lips. She exhaled, inhaling the sweetness of air and opened her eyes. Her beautiful warm brown eyes, taking in the environment. It was truly beautiful.
She smiled and looked at the person lying with her on the grass, only to be taken aback, as she saw him gazing at her softly.
For a moment she was surprised, with her cheeks warming slightly.
Taani: Aap... ese kyun dekh rahe ho?
Rey looked straight into her eyes, mesmerized again. Even if this one week, he had spent most of his time, looking into those eyes, everytime, he felt like, it was his first time. With time, her beauty deepening.
He paused, and then said.
Rey: Confused hoon.
Taani looked puzzled at him.
Rey: (looking at the surroundings) Soch raha hoon, ki yahan, is khoobsoorat meadow me, tumhe shehar ke pollution se door, nature ki beauty dikhane laya hoon. Ye hariyali, fresh air aur first rays of sun, bahot khoobsoorat he. Par confused hoon ki is khoobsoorati ko dekhu (looking at her) ya fir tumhe.
A crimson blush came on her cheeks, and she looked into his eyes lovingly for a second and dropped her lids.
Rey looked at the her face, taking in her features. Her perfectly shaped face, thin eyebrows, beautiful full lips, blush on her cheeks, closed lids. Her every feature held so much beauty in it, her innocence, her presence had the effect on him, like no one could ever have. He could live his life, looking at her forever.
He said, : Tum bahot khoobsoorat lag rahi ho. Subah ki khoobsoorati bhi, tumhare aage, jhuki si lagati he. Tumhara face, iske aage koi nahi ho sakta. Tumhare chehre ka ye pretty blush, isake aage sooraj ki lali bhi kam lagati he. Esa lagata he ki ye subah sirf tumhari wajah se khoobsoorat he. (Taani opened her eyes and looked into his eyes lovingly). Aur tumhari ye khoobsoorat aankhe, (getting lost in her eyes)... bas meri he.
After a moment, he came out of his trance, and again smiled at her softly. He looked at their hands interwined and took them to his heart.
Itani khushi mujhe kabhi nahi mili, jitani aaj mil rahi he. Dil karata he, ki bas apni puri jindagi, tumhari bahon me bitau, is meadow me, tumhari aankhon me dekhte hue. (pausing slightly) Tumhari khoobsoorati ko dekhte... (A pretty blush deepened on her cheeks) (He just kept looking at her, not finding any words to describe what he was feeling, Taani too kept looking at him)
Time passed, both trying to reach the depth of the other. Taani spoke.
Taani: Wese, aap bhi aaj bahot khoobsoorat lag rahe ho.
A frown appeared on his forehead, he looked confused at her, and a moment passed and both burst into a laugh. Both kept laughing and laughing and laughing.
Rey: (in between) Seriously? (looking at her laughing heartily. It still seemed like a dream to him, that she smiled. Only he could tell, how much he had missed her smile, usaka dil khol ke hansana.) Really, Taani, Romantic mood ko kill karana to koi tumse sikhe. (Taani looked at him smiling) But at the same time, tumhe dekhta hoon, to esa lagta he ki dunia bhar ka romance, mujme aa jata he. Khud b khud Shayari aane lagati he, me Vicky se bhi jyada filmy ban jata hoon. (looking accusing at her)Par damn your promise. Me apne pyar ko kiss bhi nahi kar sakta, kyunki tum chahti ho ki me tumhe tab hi kiss karu, jab tumhare bhai ki permission mil jaye.
Taani jerked: Bhai? (sitting up) Oh god, aapse bat karane me me to bhul hi gayi, muje jaldi ghar jana hoga. Bhai jage usase pehle.
Rey: (sitting up too) Are, relax na Taani. Aaj Sunday he, to Swayam late hoga. Bas thodi der aur.
Taani: (looked at him a little accusing) Hmm. Aur bhai par se yad aaya. Aap bhai ko hamare bare me kab bataoge?
Rey: (lying down again, and looking at her relaxed) Actually na, me bahot bar try kar chuka hoon. Par Swayam muje bat karane hi nahi deta. Har bar bich me, kuch na kuch gadbad ho jati he. And anyways, I am confused, use batau ya nahi.
Taani: Kyun? (confused)
Rey: (in a light tone) Kyunki tumhara bhai ek number ka khadus he. To muje dar lagata he ki, kahin wo muje kahi bhusa na mar de.
Taani remained silent, looking angrily at him for a second.
Taani: (angrily) Aapne mere bhai ko khadus kaha? Aap esa kese kar sakte ho?
Rey looked surprised at her.
Rey: Wow. Aaj tak to pata tha ki Swayam, over-possessive bhai he. Par yaha to behen bhi kam nahi. (taking her hand again)
Taani: (still angry) Dekhiye, wo mere bhai he. Aap unhe kuch ulata sidha nahi keh sakte. Aur agar aage se aapne esa kaha na, to...
Rey: To? (playing with her fingers)
Taani: To... (jerking her hands away, angrily) To me aapse katti ho jaugi.
Rey looked in total surprise at her. Taani was sitting, arms crossed, facing in an opposite direction. He didn't understand, what should he do? Maybe he should laugh, or pursue her or what? He tried to face her, but everytime like a little child, she would jerk away.
Rey: Taani? (Taani still angry) Okay baba, sorry. (grabbing his ears, but Taani still faced opposite direction, he tried to make her see him, but no use) Taani, dekho na yaha pe. Taani? I am sorry. (Taani relaxed a bit, but didn't turn to him) (Rey had an idea) Acha? To tum naraj hi rahogi? Hasogi nahi? Are baba... (He started to tickle her on her waist) Nahi hasogi? (laughing. Taani was getting tickled and laughing and trying to push him away) (Both started laughing)
Taani: Okay okay okay okay. Maaf kiya. (Trying to push)
Rey: (stopping and laughing) Pakka?
Taani: (smiling at him and taking his hand) PAKKA. Par aap promise kijiye ki aap bhai ko kuch nahi kahege.
Rey: (immdiately) Ok.
Taani: (frowning) Mind me bhi kuch nahi kahege.
Rey: Pakka meri jan.
Taani: To... abhi chale?
Rey: Are baba, itani jaldi kya he. Come on, lets dance.
Taani: What? Dance?
Rey: Come on. Trust me. (taking her hand)
Both straightened and floored slowly on the rhythm. both looking into each others eyes (background tune playing). Taani's hands on his neck and Rey's hands on her waist. Both looking lovings at each other, close to each other. Taani immediately having rhythm with him. Both coming close to each other unconsciously, Rey leaned unconsciously to her lips. Taani shyly closing her eyes and...
Her phone vibrated, jerking them both out of it. Taani straightened, not meeting his eyes and took her phone.
Rey murmured: Distraction no. 33
Taani looked at her phone and said scaredly receiving the call.
Taani: (on the call) Bhai?
Rey: (loudly unconsciously) Swayam?
Swayam: Hello, Taani? (stopping surprised) Wait, was that Rey?
Taani: (keeping her finger on Rey's lips making him silent) Kya? (frightened)
Swayam: (suspiciously) Ek minute, mene Rey ki aawaj suni. Tum Rey ke sath ho?
Taani: Rey? Aap kya bol rahe ho bhai? Rey yaha pe kese ho sakte he? (Warning Rey to keep quite from her eyes and taking her finger back) Aap kya bol rahe ho bhai? (grabbing her ear and looking at the sky, mentally praying, sorry krishnaji)
Swayam: Nahi, I am sure... Actually, shayad mere kan baj rahe hoge. Tum kyun jhuth bologi. (Taani looked guilty) Acha, wese tum ho kahan? Hari kaka ne kaha ki tum subeh hi chali gayi.
Taani: Wo bhai wo... Ummm... Me aapko aa ke bataugi. Me abhi nikalati hu. Aake batati hu thik he bhai? Bye. (cutting call)
Taani took a deep brath.
Rey: (tensed) Usane suna to nahi?
Taani: Nahi. Par Rey, muje ye bilkul acha nahi lagata. Ham kab tak bhai se chhipayege?
Rey: (cupping her face) Relax. Trust me, muje bhi acha nahi lag raha he, par Swayam bahot tense rehta he aaj kal. But I promise, me use jald hi bata duga. So, you don't worry okay?
Taani smiled assured. Rey hugged her.
Rey: Okay, lets go now. Before your possessive bhai calls again.
Taani smiled and they leaved.
Precap: Taani comes home. Swayam sees the mud on her clothes and is suspicious about her.
