With Channing Tatum newly announced this week to be out of the running for the casting role of Christian Grey, Gather Entertainment reports this Thursday, Dec. 6, that fan favorite leads Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer have once again topped the most recent voting polls for Christian in the latest "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie survey.
Although Channing Tatum wasn't dismissed by EL James for the hotly awaited part of Christian in the "50 Shades" film, the talented actor has said he is stepping away from the movie set in 2013 to pursue a career in directing instead.
With that, the latest Latinos Post poll has decided to feature the top ten Christian Grey casting favorites — including Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, Henry Cavill, and Alexander Skarsgard — and the most recent (yet still continuing) results are in.
Ian Somerhalder of "The Vampire Diaries" currently holds the winning vote in the poll at just above 40%, while fellow fan favorite "White Collar's" Matt Bomer is not too far behind with just under 30%. The popular "Man of Steel" Henry Cavill (despite a very strong showing last week in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie fan casting polls), dropped considerably to only 8%. Alexander Skarsgard of "True Blood" takes the fourth Christian slot with 6%, and Ryan Gosling rose a bit in the polls to now take 5th place with 5.5%.
The same talented actors continue to dominate these fan casting surveys, yet with EL James allegedly working right now in LA with the "50 Shades" film team, there may be some more Christian Grey stars either dropped or added from the "frontrunners" list before long.
