Time heals some wounds.
But sometimes the stab wounds are too deep or too toxic. You might either bleed to death or get blood poisoning. Bullets are cleaner and heal better, and any imminent death is quick and painless. .
Moral of the story, don't let anyone too close so they can stab you. Keep everyone at a distance.

Actually bullet wounds can be more damaging and toxic than stab wounds . Some bullets can fragment inside the tissues and cause sepsis if not extracted in time. As far as the stabbing effect that some words can have it really depends on how an individual decides to let it hurt. One can ignore the words, try to see the deeper meaning attached or allow it to fester in our mind. It is possible to exercise our choice.
