OS- How She Met Him

Arnav and Khushi were both freshmen in Bellevue High School. They come from totally different schools, and have never met before.

"Do you know Arnav Raizada?"

Khushi wrinkled her eyebrows and thought if she had ever seen him or talked about him before She shook her head in confusion, "Why?" The two boys chuckled, "What a lover boy! He hasn't even spoken to her once, and still likes her." Khushi's mouth formed her an 'o' and she whipped her hair. "What?!" The boys looked up, "Yea, he like you since day one. Someone would've though you caught up by now. You even have a few classes with him." Khushi walked away to her best friend, Payal, who was more social and knew more people and shared all her classes.

"Hey, Payal, do you know an Arnav Raizada in our classes?" Payal nodded. "Yea! He's in our biology, religion, and gym class. Why?" Khushi gulped, and nodded, "Nothing."

She walked over to the guys, and asked, "Could you guys point him out to me at lunch today?" The boys nodded, smiling.

At lunch, Khushi kept an eye out for him, as her classes with him was after lunch and her curiosity was off the top. Aman and Vineet walked over to her, and pointed to another Indian at the food court, surrounded by his friends. He was popular, and on the soccer team. Khushi unknowingly smiled.

She walked over to her table of friends, who were drooling over the freshmen guys as usual. Khushi usually held no interest in this gossip. However, today, she felt different. She asked, "Who?" Khushi's friends blushed and giggled, pointing to none other than Arnav. "Isn't he so hot? He's even on the soccer team! I heard he's really sweet, but rumor has it that he already likes a girl." The girls frowned, as Khushi giggled, "He's alright."

Then one day, after religion Khushi was walking out of the room, when Arnav stopped her. "Hey, you have a really nice voice." Khushi looked in shock at his immediate flirting. She blushed, and tucked her hair behind her ears, "Thanks." Arnav smiled ear to ear, and Khushi secretly looked at him. He was cute.

The next day at gym, their teacher announced that today, their activity was ballroom dancing. Coincidentally, Arnav and Khushi were dance partners. The two held their hands, and had a secret pleasure. The two danced in grace, in awe to the other couples that often fumbled. While dancing, as Arnav's head was tucked into Khushi's head, swaying to the music, Arnav smelled her luscious hair. "I love you hair and eyes." She blinked her eyes, and flipped her hair. Smilingly, she thanked him. She felt her cheeks go red and hot. As the song played, they were lost into each other's eyes.

Occasionally, at lunch, the two sat together with their group of friends, only to be teased. "They are so perfect." their friends had always said, as Khushi looked up from her food and pretended to be annoyed.

The next day in gym, their activity was field hockey. Arnav and Khushi were both chosen as their team's captains, and were called up to collect their supplies. Unknowingly, they bumped into each other and had an eye lock. Khushi blinked, when Arnav held her shoulder softly and asked, "Are you okay?" Khushi nodded, and went back to her team. Her teammates nudged her as Arnav looked back at her while walking to his own team.

His team patted his back and said, "You know you're in love with her, so ask her out!" Khushi's teammates laughed, and pushed Khushi, while she looked up. Coincidentally, Arnav was looking at her as well. The two shared an eyelock.

After the two smiled, the game started, and Khushi's teammate accidentally hit her in the shin with the hockey stick. She winced in pain, as Arnav rushed towards her. "Are you okay?!" he then looked at the girl, who was evidently very sorry. "Can't you watch where you stick goes? What if she was severely hurt? Why play when you don't know how?" Arnav fumed in anger, as Khushi placed a gentle hand on his shoulder while holding her painful shin. She looked at the girl, but really meant to Arnav, "I'm fine. It's okay. Stuff happens in the sport." Arnav's anger melted, and Khushi gave him a reassuring smile.

The next day in biology, the teacher was discussing purple orchids (a very expensive flower). "Guys, if you want to impress your girls, get her a purple orchid, and she'll stay with you for life." The boys nudged Arnav, as he smiled looking at Khushi. She blushed, as she tried to avoid another inevitable eye lock.

In the lab next day, the two partners were the most successful pair and finished their work the fastest. The teacher complimented them,

"Wow, you two are perfect together! Keep up the great work!"
