Another argument is ASR loves the way Kushi is with her ajeeb sanak & hence she continues to be a child. I disagree! Childish pranks & antics ll always come down over a period of time & also no matter how much v may justify every person has to mature as age progresses. For a girl thats y its said that the maturity comes automatically after physical intimacy with a man & after child birth. No matter how innocent & childish u may ve been after these 2 milestones in ur life a girl is no longer a girl but a full fledged woman.
@ bold:👏...valid point from you...even an unmarried girls like me could uderstand what u r trying to say...very clearly!
Thats a fantastic post... For me khushi's character is just next to impossible...Its a show and yeah such woman could be seen only n serials and movies..cant exist in reality...Hope this doesnt turn out to be a bashing post :) i just loved your post.😊

I don't know why but desi TV has this trend of showing heroines shy away from sex, or sexuality in any form. Its like one of the criteria to be a good sanskari bahu, you must play hard to get, must never show the slightest sign of being attracted to your spouse, must only give into physical intimacy after your spouse all but begged you for it or cornered you until you have no means of escape. Medieval much?

Khushi is no exception. Yes, she loves him, pure, selfless love. But does she love him the way a woman loves her man? Does she show signs of being affected by his presence? Does she yearn for his touch? Nope.

I think CV's don't portray Khusi that way because they want to highlight the difference in personalities of Arnav & Khushi. They have shown Khushi's character grow in love emotionally but not physically. I agree to each and every point you have written. Let's hope her character matures more in time to come

Just because she may not respond to his romantic advances all the time doesn't make me question her love. It just tells me she is clueless when it comes to romance.

His #1 priority is his sister though...he treats her pain with sensitivity while he treats Khushi's pain as a joke, never with the same sensitivity or feelings. Sometimes, I think he "loves" her only for the romance part...and that's enough for the fangirls I guess.

No dear i ve 2 respectfully disagree. yeah i know the asr u r talking bt post terrace hug whom even i resented. But that ASR is long dead. I dont agree that ASR wants only sex frm Kushi. If he is that insensitive he c'd ve arm twisted her into gng with him 2 watch the derby. he agreed 2 go 2 the movie coz he wanted 2 make her happy & c a smile on her face. by now he has understood her completely & knows that tiny things which make her smile. But kushi has still not progressed an inch on the romance part.

And lemme tell u that there is no love without lust. that's y i clearly mentioned a man-woman love. its the lust part which makes it diff frm the rest of the relationships a girl has in her life. if not for desire & lust wat is the difference bet the love a mom has for his son, a sister has for her brother, a girl has for her friend & finally what a wife has for her hubby.

its all all the more frustrating when u actually signed up for a love story & instead get an ADAMS' FAMILY combined with the goofy antics of SIMPSONS family.

Valid points, I understand what you meant but let me tell you some will misinterpret your post.

You can say the channel will never allow a female lead to show openly love or affection to her man.

Emotional nor physical love will be shown by the female lead.

The female lead is only allowed to show open love to her family members and other's but never to her husband or lover.

The only women that show open love to a man is who comes under negative category.

So I do not think we will see desire from Khushi towards her husband.

Edit -

I have no doubts that ASR and Khushi love each other. They have overcome mammoth obstacles to get to that point. And, in the farmhouse, they showed that they were very much sexually aware of each other. We don't even have to go to the farmhouse - even the haldi was charged awareness.

Post marriage, I blame the total buzzkill on the CVs.

After their moments of intimacy, it is cringeworthy to watch a wife not understand a husband wanting to spend alone time, particularly after he says he has changed his schedule. It just doesn't add up and makes her seem emotionally immature, which is in direct contradiction to a woman who was intimate with him the night before the wedding and woke up dreaming about it. As for ASR, he is a bobblehead now. When he wanted alone time with Khushi during the wedding preparations, he seized it - when he didn't have the 'official' haq yet. Now that he has, he's shown to be upstaged by his family and a wife that doesn't understand. It is story telling at its absolute worst because it betrays all the emotional progress between the characters that came before it.

As for showing desire to be touched by your husband. An SP bahu will be shown to rather hang the laundry out to dry. It is totally an unhealthy and unrealistic portrayal of newlyweds. I mean on one hand they write in the Di making jokes about ASR and Kh wanting to spend time together, which acknowledges that this is a social norm but when it comes time to show it on screen, somehow we are in the kitchen making dal and not whoopie.

And I respectfully disagree with your thread title that questions Khushi's love for Arnav. After all that she's been through for him, its ridiculous to question her.

This list is endless but yes, putting her life and reputation on the line to save him at a time when she thought he hated her and would leave her at the end of 6 months proved her unconditional love for him.

If the CVs want to show her as clueless when it comes to romance all of a sudden now, what can we do? I just remember that she's also the same girl who trusted him enough to sleep with him the night before their wedding, going against her own thoughts and values.

Khushi does love ASR...But as we have discussed it already...hers is the most flexible character in IPK...One day we see her as some real mature woman..the next day she resorts to some OTT stuff to irritate her husband...

Khushi is a child woman...who always mistook her feelings for acidity and dhak-dhak..If ASR was an ecapist..Khushi too is...one who for a long time preferred to run away from her desires and feelings...that does NOT mean she loves him any less...But anything in her life is a little Jhalli..So her antics at times seem a little loud and make you feel whether she loves him!!

Yes..it is true...we want to see Khushi desiring ASR the same way he does...We want to see the woman in her rise time and again..the one we saw on the Diwali night..or the farmhouse recently...She loves him...But there's a certain coldness in her behavior...that's mainly because she is still a child at heart and can't always decide upon the necessities of a conjugal life..For her taking care of her husband and his family...his medicines...his diabetes...cooking..washing clothes seem to be of utmost importance..Her priorities are rarely seen..She herself does not exercise her rights..

But even in the midst of all these...We have seen how she is awakened by desires..Haldi...Mehndi...Farmhouse..Diwali..Teri-Meri...Poolside Kiss..and the list goes on!!

Actually the writing has taken a nose dive..if you see!!There's nothing wrong in a woman desiring her husband...and SP/CV's need to realize that..Marriage is not just about cooking/washing clothes..there are other needs too...to make a marriage work!!

No dear thats y i clearly mentioned that i can understand that kushi loves him but not the way a woman loves her hubby. reg the jalli/sanak part i ve already clarified. she can b like that bef others. but within the confines of their bedroom even the most childish, jalli, ott girl becomes a woman. sex automatically brings out that maturity in a girl. hence my doubt that they ve not consummated their marriage.
