Chapter X- A Family Reunion

"Mooommmaaa...I am here..." Aarushi's voice created panic ripples in Khushi's stomach.

It was that Aarushi sometimes visited Khushi while She was at the Studios But the fact that She had chosen this fateful day to visit was ...Unbelievable.

What a fatal mess.

Arnav's face had gone blank.

Khushi could see hurt swim in his eyes.

Did Arnav think that Khushi was married and Aarushi was the other man's?

"Your daughter.." Arnav asked in a defeated tone.

Khushi wanted to scream..."Ours"... But just nodded her head.

"Whats your name...Little doll.?" Arnav asked Aarushi while kneeling down in front of her.

Khushi noticed they looked alike in more ways than one...same eye color...same smiling pout.

Aarushi's eyes brightened and she smiled infectiously at Arnav.

"I am Aarushi..." Aarushi said with a lot of enthusiasm.

"I am Arnav Singh Raizada.." Arnav said and offered Aarushi a hand shake.

Aarushi shook the hand with a dazzing smile.

Khushi was suddenly jealous.Aarushi was a very shy girl who did not make friends easily but she connected to Arnav very fast.No stranger ever got this response.

Was It the blood relation?

"You are the one who makes the clothes right?" Aarushi asked with delightful eyes.

"Yup...I make clothes...Do you like them..??" Arnav asked.

"Yes..I love them.Mommy loves playing dress-up with me." Aarushi said while glancing at Khushi.

Arnav wanted this girl for himself.

Arnav felt a twinge of regret in his heart for divorcing Khushi.

If and only If, I would not have divorced Khushi then this beautiful angel would have been 'Ours'.

'Who was this lucky guy who had the possession of Khushi and Aarushi now...I would give anything to be in his place'...Arnav thought.

"What is your Daddy's name...??" Arnav asked waiting impatiently for Aarushi to answer.

"Ummm.." Aarushi became silent and started staring at Khushi who was sitting nervously almost as if she wanted to run away from the place.

"Your Dad..?" Arnav reminded again.

"He is never Home..Ever..He never comes Home and Mom says He hates her." Aarushi said while silent tears escaped her beautiful eyes.

"Who would hate your Mom...She is an angel." Arnav said while comforting Aarushi.

"Then Maybe its me...Daddy hates me.." Aarushi said with a sad smile..

"No...You are a perfect doll..Who would ever hate you...??" Arnav said with a comforting smile.

Aarushi's eyes lit up and Arnav felt something very familiar in her eyes.

One Second...

The way Aarushi smiled ..The way her eyes lit up those caramel pools.

Damn.

She looks like...Me.!

Arnav gasped in shock.

"That's enough of drama now...Aarushi we are leaving right now...Collect your things." Khushi cut in between and pulled Aarushi towards her.

Arnav was sure that Aarushi was his.

Khushi did not want Arnav to know that He had a Daughter.

Damn.

But Arnav wanted answers...NOW...!

"Is She my Daughter?"

"Is She my daughter?" Arnav's voice was a whisper but Khushi chose to remain silent.

She knew in her heart that Aarushi was his daughter...His own blood.

Yes..Aarushi was his daughter.

Khushi was silent and it gave the answer to his question.

"Khushi...Please." Arnav whispered with his voice washing over Khushi's skin with a stroke of love and Khushi found herself melting.

"What do you want? Can't you let me be happy?" Khushi asked with anger slashing her eyes.

Khushi couldn't believe the life turning situation played in front of her.

She could not give up Aarushi so easily.

Arnav stood up and walked towards Khushi's seat.Khushi jumped up and averted his hands which were reaching for her face.

"Khushi..Don't...Please." Arnav begged as he touched her face so gently as if she was a precious doll.

Arnav could feel Khushi respond to his touch.

"Tell me Khushi...Is she mine???" Arnav pleaded while stroking Khushi's cheeks.

Arnav knew the answer but wanted to hear it from Khushi's lips.

Aarushi was staring at this rendezvous with wide eyes and confusion.

"Yes..." Khushi replied huskily shedding tears and added, "Please don't take her away from me...Please don't hurt me again..." Khushi begged.

Arnav felt a sharp twinge in his heart.

Arnav knew that He did not deserve Aarushi and Khushi but He still wanted them both.

Why did Khushi think that He would seperate them both...He wasn't cruel!

"I won't Khushi..I want you both." Arnav said and bent forward to take Khushi in a hug.

Khushi jumped up and pushed Arnav away from her as if he was contagious.

"You want Aarushi..Not me...I am her mother..and you don't have proof that She is your daughter..You can't take her away from me..I will not give up till my last breath..I will fight this.!" Khushi screamed.

"I won't do that Khushi...I am not a beast...Believe me.." Arnav growled.

"You just leave Arnav..Please don't mess my world." Khushi begged.

"I want my Daughter...Khushi..I am not missing another moment with her." Arnav growled.

"Yes ...Please,Take her away." With that Khushi left the place,leaving behind a very confused Aarushi and a defeated Arnav.

"Daddy..?" Aarushi said in a small voice.

"Yes..My Princess." Arnav responded and showered kisses on Aarushi.

He was a Father!

A Father to an Angel of a Daughter.

"Do you hate mommy?" Aarushi asked carefully.

"No...Baby Girl...I love her." Arnav whispered.

And Arnav would make it right,no matter what!
