Chapter 2
(next morning in the ETF office room)
(rathore and chotu are doing some work, arjun and riya are going through the evidences which samaara found out from the laptop, samaara and shree are fighting on some gadget issue.)
Arjun- hume abhi madir jaana hoga!
riya- kya? madir? aapko mandir jaana hai?
Arjun- nai riya, ye dekho, killer ne ek map banaaya hai, and uske hisaab se uska next target uddhav mandir ke pujaari hain.
riya- but vo ek pujaari ko kyu maarega?
arjun- vo sochne ka time nahi hai riya, mandir chalo jaldi.
(arjun informs this to all members and all of them reach the 'uddhav mandir')
(in the mandir, all six of them are looking here and there to find some traces of the killer but noone is able to succeed. all of them go to the pujari)
rathore(showing his card)- hum ETF se aaye hain. hume jaankaari mili hai iss mandir ke pujaari parr hamla hone vaala hai!
pujari- kya? mujhpar?
arjun- jee haan! aap murti ke paas hi rahiyega...riya, tum yahi raho, hum log jaake harr jagah ki security check karke aate hain.
riya- ok sir.
(after checking the security thoroughly, all members come back)
pujaari- beta, kuch haath laga?
arjun- nahi...lekin aap chinta matt keejiye, hum aapko kuch nahi hone denge.
pujaari- mujhe apni jaan ki koi chinta nahi hai...mera jeevan toh mere bhagwaan hi hain!
rathore- lekin humaare liye aapki jaan bachaana jaroori hai.
arjun- aapki kisi se dushmani?
pujaari- meri toh kisi se koi dushmani nahi hai beta.
(arjun nods)
(few hrs pass and now its almost evening)
pujari- aap log jaake saamne vaale 'kund'(small pond) me sikke(coins) kyu nahi daal aate?
shree- haan. maine suna hai log vaha jaake sikke daalte hain and vo shubh hota hai.
rathore- theek hai, vaise bhi yaha kisi killer ka koi nishaan nahi hai...
(every1 looks at arjun)
arjun- meri taraf matt dekho, maine sirf guess kiya tha!
aur mujhe poora vishvaas hai ki killer yaha aayega! trust me...sir.
(every1 goes near the kund)
rathore-riya, tum hum sab ki taraf ek-ek sikka daal do.
riya- ok sir..
(riya takes 8 coins and puts them into the pond.)
arjun- ye kya riya? hum log toh sirf 6 hain, tumne 8 coins kyu daale?
riya- 6 coins hum sab ke hain, and 1 maine apne bhai ki taraf se daala hai aur 1 aur maine...aapki wife ki taraf se daala.
(this changed arjun's mood completely, he strted getting angry)
arjun- kya? lekin kyu?
riya- vo...sir...mujhse shree ne kaha tha ki aapki wife bohot religious thi and...
arjun- toh? toh tumse kisne kaha ki uski taraf se coin daal do?
riya(taking a sigh)- mujhe laga aapki wife ko accha lagta, toh aapko bhi accha feel hoga toh maine...
arjun- meri wife aur mere beech me tum kaha se aa gayi riya? agar mujhe roshni ki taraf se sikka daalna hota toh mai daal chuka hota! tumhe ye karne ki kya zaroorat thi?
riya- mujhe laga aap shaayad bhool gaye honge...
arjun- mai kabhi roshni ko bhool nahi sakta riya...aur tumhe mujhe baar-baar ye yaad dilaane ki jaroorat nahi hai!
riya- sir mai toh bas..
(arjun puts his hand up to shut her up)
arjun- bass riya! tum hamesha mere dukh ko aur badha deti ho...tumhe toh iss baat ka koi andaaza bhi nahi hai ki kisi apne ko aankho ke saamne kho dene ka dard kya hota hai!
(tears roll down riya's cheek, shree,samara,chotu and rathore are shocked)
(riya runs away from there and sits on the stairs, she crys her heart out)
(here, arjun has strted to feel bad fr what he did)
shree- aapne phir riya ko rula diya sir..aapko aisa nahi kehna tha...
samara(to shree)- shhh...tum mere arjun sir se aise baat nahi karr sakte..! samjhe?
(samara goes to arjun)
samara- sir...aapko bass vo last line nahi kehni thi...
arjun- kyu?
samara- mujhe bhaiya ne bataaya tha sir, ki...riya ka bhai...vo...
arjun-kya samara?
samara- riya ka bhai police officer tha, jab riya 16 saal ki thi toh apne birthday ke din vo apne bhai ke saath bahar gayi thi, but kuch logo ne riya ke saamne uske bhai ko maar daala, 6 ki 6 goliya unke chest pe maar di, vo bhi riya ke saamne aur riya kuch nahi karr paayi.
arjun-(his expression softened) oh! mujhe nahi pata tha...
samara- tab se riya ne thaan liya ki vo apne bhai ke kaatilo ko sazaa deke rahengi...
arjun- mujhe usse aise baat nahi karni thi...haina?
samara- haan sir...vo aapki life ke baare me aur janna chahti hai kyuki shaayad use aapki takleef apni takleef jaisi lagti hai...kyuki unke paas unki takleef baatne vaala bhi koi nahi hai, unke parents ka bhi divorce ho chuka hai!
(arjun went to riya and kept his hand on her shoulder and sat next to her on the stair. riya felt it was shree, so she immediately turned and hugged arjun and strted crying. she held his shirt with both her hands and rested her head on his strong chest.)
riya(crying)- aisa mere saath kyu hua shree???kyu???
(arjun was confused, he cudn't understand what to do. he placed his hands on her head and moved his hands through her hairs)
arjun- koi baat nahi riya, sab theek ho jaayega! i am sorry.
(riya suddenly realized that the voice was not shree's but arjun's, she quickly broke the hug and shifted a little away)
riya- sir aap?(tears still rolling down her cheek)
arjun- i am sorry riya..mujhe vo sab nahi kehna tha...
riya- nahi sir..its ok.
arjun- no its not riya!
riya- sir ek baat kahu...!
arjun-kaho...
riya- aapko shaayad pata hai ki aapki wife ko kisne maara and aapko kisse badla lena hai...right?
arjun- haan!
riya- leking mujhe toh pata bhi nahi ki mere bhai ko kisne maara tha, isiliye mai harr criminal ko sazaa dena chahti hoon..kyuki unme se koi bhi mere bhai ka kaatil ho sakta hai! maine sirf iss liye hi ye profession chuna hai.
arjun- mai samajh sakta hoon riya...i am sorry ki maine bina kuch jaane tumse vo sab...
riya- koi baat nahi sir...mai inn sab cheezo ko mind nai karti..
arjun- kaise riya? kaise itni khush reh leti ho tum? dil me itna dard hai, itni takleef hai, phir bhi tum hamesha itni lively kaise reh leti ho? tumhe tumhaari bhai ki yaad nahi aati? uss din ki yaad nahi aati jab unn logo ne tumhaare bhai ko maar diya tha? tumhaara khoon nahi kholta?
riya- haan sir...lekin iska matlab ye nahi hai ki mai ek dukhi zindagi jeene lagu...mere bhai,naveen, ko kabhi ye accha nahi lagega ki mai unki vajah se ek aise zindagi jee rahi hoon jisme koi rang hi nahi hai, kyuku bhaiya hamesha chahte the ki mere life full of happiness ho! mai khush rehke apne bhai ko hi toh khush karr rahi hoon na sir.!
mere bhaiya aaj jaha bhi hain, agar unhe ye pata chala ki mai unki vajah se dukhi hoon, toh unhe kabhi accha nahi lagega...i just want ki mere bhai iss baat se accha feel kare ki mai unke jaane ke baad bhi bilkul vaise hi jee rahi hoon jaise unke rehte hue jeeti thi!
(arjun had tears in his eyes but he slowly moved his hands towards riya's face and cupped her face, then with his fingers he wiped her tears)
arjun- sab theek ho jaayega riya! sorry and thanks.
(saying this he walked away)
riya- thanks kyu?
(she looked back fr the asnwer, but arjun had left.)
