There have been numerous posts about anandi in love with jagya and I wonder was she ever really in love with jagya. I feel no and feel jagya was only her good childhood friend whom she accepted as everything and person to be loved based on societal traditions and the conditioning of her mind by parents and others. Even now she has closed her mind mentally as she may not be able to think or believe that she can love again. After all love has been always glorified like heer ranjha or Romeo juliet. But in real life does it really happen. A relationship that is lasting is based on mutual respect liking and friendship. Likewise I don't blame jagya as well if he felt gauri is more suitable, but only problem was he asserted for his love in a wrong way.
PS this is purely from healthy discussion or debate and please don't make it a warfare

One thing is for sure. She loved him more than her life.
But she has also said that by the time she learnt what love is he had left her.According to her she had fallen in love with but it was he who left her.
But currently I do not think she is in love with Jagya.

lol 😆 good question !

Actually she loved him. But a gap came in duo when Jugat went to Mumbai. Still she was devoted to him instead of doing nain-mattakkaa with another village folk like Jagiya did ! I think that their love lost all charm coz slowly slowly it became one sided. She tried her level best but Jugat didnt reciprocated that love back to her. The foundations were shaken and at last destroyed completely.

If we talk about now, so i can bet that she doesnt loves him. Especially after that bhabhuti incident. She dont have any emotions for him, neither love nor hate but yes, she has some memories which sneak in her mind, involuntary. They just pop up like unwanted-advertisement windows. Its natural, she cant do anything. 😳

Was this love also not conditioned where she was told by her parents and in laws that husband or Beendh is everything and that is why she feels that she loved him. If one recalls anandi clearly states after divorce that she never really knew the meaning of love, but by the time she was mature enough to understand the meaning jagya went away. So she never got a chance to understand what it is and as prats said in her interview she is understanding it from shiv. Just again a academic question

I think she was more in love with the idea/feeling of love then in love with Jagia but only Anandi can tell us the truth.

i think its an interesting question. but it also depends on your definition of love...
if you go by a single definition of love, you can question everything...did gauri ever love jagiya or did jagiya ever love his family or did gauri's parents love gauri????
i think love means different things to different people. but the mistake we make is assuming that love is static...it is a living breathing emotion...it has a mind of its own...it grows or diminishes according to the path life takes...
i think that in their own ways, jagiya, anandi, gauri, dadisa...they all do what they do, or what they did in the past, because they believed they were doing it for the sake of love...but that love has changed shape for everyone today...
for anandi that love has dulled into a bittersweet pain, for gauri it has turned into a seething all-consuming rage and hatred, for jagiya his love has turned into a blind desire to turn the clock back and bring everything back to the way it was all those years ago, and in dadisa, the love has turned into a search for redemption...in their own way, they all loved...

You are right I think love is not static and from these standards that glorifying love as ever eternal may be wrong. We should the accept realities that love is ever evolving and without our realization we may grow out of love or fall in love depending on circumstances

yup..

Though I like the points brought up by other members here... and its interesting...'
I agree with Kushi..
She loved Jagya...

and if Love means wanting to see the beloved always happy and accepting him with his/her mistakes and doing everything to maintain that... then Anandi truly loved Jagya.

Did jagya ever love Anandi...thats a clear no.

As long as Anandi held on to her love the relationship had a life ...but the moment her love started diminishing...it started to weaken and now its completely gone.

At this point Anandi is not in love with jagya. She dislikes him but because she once loved him, she is unable to hate him.

She likes Shiv now and eventually will fall in love with him, once she realizes that Shiv is someone who will respect her feelings and return much much more

She lacks that grip/possessive nature towards her lover... the reason cd be conservative upbringing n joint family elders cutting short their privacy in the early years of consummation.. had they sent Anandi to mumbai along with jagya...his satiated bio needs cd hv avoided damage of marital life...hence I feel Anandi so far had not faced a lover so far..
Just like asha (took proactive decision 4 marriage n had developed feelings for Abhishek) who had marriage after love ...

n

sugna(knew she bn loved by shyam but carried the memories of previous husband for long time like Anandi) who had developed love after marriage...
in Both the cases husbands love the wives much...Anandi knew she's bn loved deeply by shiv ,,n she wd b kept happy like shyam n Abhishek ...
Love is not an itch like infatuation...an acute condition...a two-minute affair...

But a chronic desire to like each other...by understanding each other that develops slowly...she has life time romance ahead...

Hence Anandi need not worry @ all...
