If you rememeber one of GH"s interview it was said that it took long time to cast for Anji's role, I remember even Ved raj saying that all roles were casted except for Anjali. They wanted some like an ideal sister and auiditioned a lot of people and finalized DB instantly bcoz she fitted the role perfectly, may be thats why they didn't want DB to quit
