Here are two of the nicest people I have seen on TV. And somehow their contrasts always strikes me forcefully.
Anjali was born in a rich family and orphaned at 19.
Khushi was born to a reasonable family (I think. Though I do not know her background). Orphaned at 8.
Anjali was raised by her maternal grandmother after the incident (well she was too grown to be raised).
Khushi was raised by her aunt and aunt's husband.
Anjali's marriage was called off suddenly and both her parents committed sucide. Indeed a big tragedy.
Khushi's fiance turned out to be a married man. When she did get married she was forced into a contract marriage in a brutal way.
After marriage Anjali led a life of comfort and total pampering by all and sundry. Of course she is nice enough to deserve it. She had to do nothing to earn this love other than be her sweet self.
After marriage Khushi went through a life of hell with her husband, She never had proper clothes, was disowned by her own family. She was disrespected by her in-laws for the runaway marriage. But she struggled and valiantly won them back with her warmth and love, never once complaining.
Anjali has never needed to worry about money. Taking it from her brother freely. Spending it as she liked. Letting her husband do the same.
Khushi never likes taking money unless she feels she has earned it. She always tries to earn in her own way and always tries her best to repay as far as possible.
Anjali's husband always treated her like a glass doll. She always felt she was a queen with him (so what if it is a lie. But Shyam treated her like that to hide his own flaws). Ultimately she found out he was a scoundrel. But she can't accept it.
Khushi's husband treated her like a rag doll, always rough and gruff with her. Even her marriage was a contract. But she gave her love unconditionally. Ultimately she found out her husband loves her Today she is the queen in his life.
Anjali has a brother who will sacrifice everything for her and do anything for her happiness, fight her battles and take care of her.
Khushi had no one to fight her battles. No one to care for her. (At least not till ASR has changed). But she fought her battles and won most of the,
So here is Anjali: Always pampered, always loved, always given priority, always worshipped and yet she remains weak and delusional.
And here is Khushi. Always accused, always hurt, always abondoned, always treated like trash and yet she is strong and full of optimism and liveliness.
Anjali and Khushi are classic examples of the saying 'attitude is everything in life'.
Khushi's attitude has her rising up after every blow and fighting her battles and smiling through her difficulties.
Anjali's attitude makes her more weak after every blow and losing her battles and crying through her difficulties.
By studying these ladies in contrast, I can easily say that life is shaped by what one is inside and not how difficult things are outside.
Just my two cents (Ok make that a dollar because the post is long) on these two studies in contrast😊
