Gayatri gives Raghav an important responsibility

After watching the Raghav-Gayatri scene, I remembered a line that my mum always tells me when I try to hide something from her: 😆

"A mother can always read her child's eyes, no matter what the child says"

As soon as Gayatri heard Viraj asks Raghav about the blood on his hand, she began to panic with worry. She was restless to find out what was wrong with her son.

She repeatedly asked him what he was hiding. She was his mother. She, of all people, would know if her child was hiding something. When he showed her his hand,

Gayatri saw right through Raghav's fib when he made up an excuse and told her that it was a due to an accident. She told him that she cares about him and she asked him, affectionately, that if he doesn't look after himself, then how will he look after her?

At that moment, you could tell that the thought was crossing his mind and he assured his mother that he will look after her, and that he does look after himself.

Raghav told his mother that he wants to fulfil his responsibilities, just like his brother did and he said that he wants prove himself to be the son that she always wanted him to be.

And the fact that he told his mother that, made her happy, because she clearly agreed with what he was saying. And that's all a mother wants, for her child to take care of her when she gets to the stage where she needs their help, just as she does, selflessly for her child for their whole life. Once he said that, you could clearly see Gayatri reflecting on something.

He asked his mother to just trust in him a little bit, and she responded to his statement by telling him if he stays so far away from her, then he won't be able to receive her love and she called him to sit with her.

That headbump and those smiles, made me smile with them. Absolutely adorable. <3 <3

When Viraj indirectly suggested that Gayatri and Raghav should go away for some while Gayatri told him that she wasn't going to go anywhere. And she was right, with her whole family around her, why would she need to go anywhere?

I love the fact that when she suggested about doing a Pooja to Komal, she turned to Raghav when she said: "So that there is no evil eye upon anyone"

She had finally gotten her beloved son back after years of estrangement, she didn't want anything to happen to him or anyone else in her family. They are far too important to her.

Then Gayatri made, what I think was the best decision! She made Raghav the Power of Attorney, not only foiling Viraj's plan, but more importantly, giving her son the opportunity to prove himself to her by giving him such a great responsibility. And the sweetest thing was, that when Gayatri was talking about it, Raghav looked down, clearly sure that it wouldn't be him who would be chosen for it. But he was proved wrong, his mother chose him.

Raghav, being his modest self, had his own reservations and tried to refuse, but his mother held her hand out and he knew that he wasn't allowed to say anything else as she spoke to Viraj to get the papers together.

Then as Raghav asked his mother what was the need, she explained to her son, that it's like he said, she needs to have faith in him and she was giving him this responsibility because she knows that he'll fulfil it to the best of his abilities.

Raghav agreed, but with a sweet condition, that Gayatri would look after herself, not stress herself out and get well soon, making everyone smile.

I'm loving their scenes even more, I swear! <3

Beautiful post!
I have said this before and I am saying it again! I love this pair! It is the second best pair on this show... first being Raghav Krish!
These two actors make the scenes so simple yet so powerful! Their conversations, expressions are just PERFECT!👏

Lub, omigod. Your post is absolutely frigging beautiful. I couldn't have described the details and emotions in their scene last night better than you just did.
God, I loved the entire sequence. I hated that it was public. But that headbump... sigh. I'm a sucker for RaYatri.

Dear Lubz 🤗

A beautifully worded write up... Loved it to the core... 😍

Had read something long time back and it stayed with me from that day... would like to share the same:

Youth fades; love droops, the leaves of friendship fall;

A mother's secret hope outlives them all.
