Thank you so much for making this post seriously.
I hate how Khushi was originally a strong female protagonist,( at least in my opinion), now she no longer resembles this woman. I don't know what the CV's are doing with the current plot line and especially today's episode.
Khushi left the Raizada Mansion not because Arnav needs to repent, but because she has to be good indian woman who makes sacrifices for others at every turn. It just makes me think of Dilwale Dulhanya lageya ge, and Anjali's mother's speech about "kurbaan" . How she said my daughter is not going to make sacrifices, that was in the 1990's, you think that kind of progressiveness would hit tellywood too. But alas no.
Women still have to make sacrifices for their love. Why is the pointless value perpetuated? Why must women have to put their needs after everyone else's?
What makes me even more mad, is that Khushi is acting like she knows what everyone thinks and she is right. I mean how the hell does she know what Di is going to be like. She needs to grow up, and stop acting like she knows everything.
Anjali was never marketed as a strong female, she was always seen as dependent, therefore I don't expect much from her. The way she deals with her grief is her own way.
The whole Payal fiasco is about 100 times worse. Again the sacrfice value comes to play.
"It's ok Ma ji, I won't go, on a trip with my husband just to make you happy" I mean seriously? Your so called Ma-ji couldn't care less about you, why should you? I really wish Payal would grow a backbone.
