I made a Rashi and Rucha appreciation thread yesterday in order for us to remember that there are other characters and actors that make Saathiya a wonderful show. So let's talk about the saas of all saases (is that a word? 😆): Kokila Modi.
I think SP needs to have a show about this woman's early married life and her younger days. It will be just as popular as Saathiya if not more.
She's such a unique character. She's strong minded, confident, disciplined, loving, and righteous woman. Even during the worst of times, Kokila remained resilient and graceful. Usually the ideal bahu/woman image portrays the ideal behavior is to endure pain and injustice. However Kokila always stood up for herself and the ones she loved. For example, when there was hostility between her and Hetal, she would never hesitate to confront Hetal and to attempt to explain herself. This woman will tell you like it is and not beat around the bush.
Rupal Patel is fantastic. She has helped make Kokila Modi a legend. It's tough to balance a character that is so strict without being intimidating yet so loving without being overwhelming. Also, she looks gorgeous with her hair down (I can't find pics but if you see the JDJ promos, you'll know what I mean). And even Hrithik can't resist her 😉
