For a quick reference, if you can't reach out any books, hit to wiki and glance through. If you look carefully about reviews, people are not switched on "f-tv" here to watch the best glamorous hen, they are expressing their views & expectation by finding some of the appearance/presenting similarities of parvati. The difference between mythology and adi grantha/upanishad is mythologies took the form of stories and stories are remembered based on the suitable chars and hence it got advanced as plays in theaters and even movies, unlike upanishad. So respect others vote accordingly (if interested) else keep your religious toto in vein.

I was reading all the comments here in this thread.I too want to say one thing.Devon ke dev mahadev is totally different from other serials on tv because it is about Gods and Goddesses and not human beings.People watch other serials mostly because they like a certain pair,their chemistry,etc.I am sure most of you have started watching the show to know about Lord Shiva's life.Till now we only had lot of serials on Lord Ram,Lord Krishna,Lord Vishnu but after a long time,we have a serial based on Lord Shiva.Of course,there was a serial,Om Namah Shivay but that was long back.People started watching this show to know about Lord Shiva.Then they started liking mohit as Shiv and Mouni as Sati.Due to the liking for this jodi,they forgot the true reason for watching this show and started demanding to see mouni as parvati.Well,guys,mohit is not shiv and mouni is not adishakti.they are mere human beings who are playing the roles of Gods.Please don't give so much importance to these human beings.Please watch this show to know about Gods.In this materialistic world,please give atleast 20 minutes to watch this show about Gods.

You mean MS's Krishna? Anand Sagar (AS) directed Ramayan of NDTV Imagine, whereas Meenakshi Sagar (MS) was the director of Jai Shri Krishna. They were also from different production houses. AS belongs to Sagar Arts whereas MS belongs to Sagar Pictures. But yes, I do hope this show doesn't drag baby Parvathi's story like JSK did with Bal Krishna. At least Krishna was known in his childhood, but the significance of Devi Parvathi was in her adult years, so there's no point in dragging her infanthood.
