Chapter Three
Arnav Singh Raizada drifted in and out of consciousness as a cool breeze sifted through his soft hair. His eyes adjusted to the morning sunlight that was seeping through the curtains; tightening his arm around the sleeping form next to him as he sighed peacefully. Khushi was currently bundled up in his embrace with her back towards him - one arm underneath her pillow whilst the other had a firm grip on his arm that was wrapped around her stomach. She was muttering incoherently, of which he could just make out as being something along the lines of 'jalebi's'
Arnav chuckled to himself; shaking his head at his wife's foody habits, that apparently failed to leave, even in her deep slumber.
'Khushi'
He made a lame attempt at waking her up; lightly shaking her slumped shoulder as her calm demeanour gradually transformed in to an irritable scowl - his own manifesting in to a full-fledged grin as he mentally took note of how cute she looked in this instant.
'Mmm... Sone do na'
She batted the offending arm away as she concealed herself deeper in to the pillows and further in to his warm embrace. He breathed in her airy scent, settling his chin on her shoulder as his nose lightly caressed the smooth cheek that was exposed to him.
'Wake up Khush'
Annoyed at the constant disturbance, she attempted to wriggle her way out of his strong hold - but to no avail as this only caused his hands to find their way inside her top as it rode up giving him an enticing view of her taut milky skin.
'Arnavji pleeeaaassee'
She grumbled at him as his hands slowly moved down her abdomen and further still, nearing her core; pressing her against him as he slowly ground his hips in to her behind - his hands moving threateningly closer to her centre, causing her to squirm at the heated sensations he was invoking in her, making her moist in between as she felt the need for him rapidly intensify. These feelings were still so new to Khushi - she hadn't the faintest clue as to how to control them; she would melt in to a sluggish mess at his slightest touch, and this fact excited her to the heavens and back.
His lips trailed down her neck as she moaned in satisfaction. She wanted more. Turning around in his arms, she now faced him; his bare chest gleaming in the sunlight in all its glory. She couldn't help but let her gaze linger on him for those few seconds extra - he was impossibly handsome.
'Awake now are we?'
She looked up at his face, which was now adorned with an arrogant smirk and a raised eyebrow. Now she understood his game. Her cheeks flushed a deep shade of red as she abruptly turned right back around, burying her head in the plump pillows; hiding her sheer embarrassment at being out smarted by the enticing touch of her husband
Her laughed out loud at his paagal wife and pulled her back towards him roughly, causing her to land clumsily on top of him. She buried her head in to his chest, the feel of her soft lips grazing against him causing waves of pleasure to rouse within him. She wrapped her arms around his torso as she lifted her head; smiling as she kissed him full on the mouth.

A week had passed since Arnav had returned home after that horrific ordeal. His wounds had very nearly completely healed and life, for him, could not have been more flawless. Well, apart from the niggling fact that his sister was pregnant with a baby whose father was going to be murdered by his very own hands. Other then that... flawless.
He had no qualm about disclosing this fact to his Di. No. despite what everyone thought, his sister knew right from wrong and she was one of the bravest people he knew. She would be hurt, yes - but he knew full well that she would come out on top. His Di was made of strong stuff. He just wanted to enjoy these blissful moments with his wife first, before delving in to the inevitable ruckus that was to occur any day now.
Shyam had yet to surface after the kidnapping, he clearly had sense enough to realise just what would happen to him if he made an appearance right now. No doubt he had probably made up one of his bullshit 'client meeting' excuses to his unassuming sister. As he stepped out of his room, the sudden thought of seeing his ugly face again made him sick to the stomach as he clenched his fist, causing his knuckles to become white. 'I hate you so much Shyam Manohar Jha.' He would slowly but surely pay for what he had done to his Di... For what he had caused between him and Khushi.
It was at that very moment, as Arnav walked down the stairs of Shantivan, that he laid eyes on that very same pathetic, disgusting leech that had only just consumed his thoughts. Arnav looked eerily calm as he sauntered forward towards him, his eyes steadfast and searing.
Shyam looked around the room nervously, trying to look anywhere but at him. He wouldn't do anything right now. Not with his whole family witnessing his every move. Right? His palms were sweating profusely as he wrung his hands together; smiling awkwardly at an unsuspecting Anjali.
Arnav walked straight up to him, lowering his face next to his ears as he whispered to him.
'You are a dead man walking... Jeejaji'
