Lack of sensitivity during POOJA * Aarti.

It was very insensitive on the part of the CV's to show Ashutosh and Nidhi having a conversation during the Pooja & Aarti. Why are such things taken so lightly? Satyanarayan pooja is one of the most auspicious pooja s performed by a newly married couple.
Agreed its a serial, but the whole conversation could have happened after the POOJA.
Sorry, but it was totally inappropriate. Disliked the whole shot. It sad to see people misusing or take rituals so lightly.

Well actually I disagree not in the spiritual sense but if you look at it from the character's point of view... If you look at it from Ashu's point of view, he was an orphan and he has never been overly spiritual (apart from the time he went to seek God's blessing after breaking up with Nidhi). He is a very logical person..Plus he was not actually trying to romance Nidhi during the Pooja. If that was the case, it would have been crass. All he wanted to was to clear up the misunderstanding and seek Nidhi's forgiveness since Nidhi is the the only thing that matters in his life. It logically was more important than the Pooja to him. So I think it was justified.

Again Nidhi is also a modern girl so I don't think even she is overly spiritual.
I am myself from UP and we have the Satyanarayan Pooja every month and the atmosphere is very light just like depicted in the show. It is almost like an occasion for togetherness. But that does not mean that we are disrespecting God.

From where I come..all poojas are taken pretty seriously. And SP is taken as a "SANKALP" a vow . I do know its performed on Poornima every month. Does that mean it can be taken lightly? And I am from Mumbai...:) in case you are wondering...:)

Agreed, he was apologising and not romancing I totally understand your point. Maybe its just my view, but I do see it as a little disrespectful if one doesn't have 10 mins during pooja time to devote for God.

One should not be performing the pooja then..just my thought.

Even I agree up to some extent if it was me in that situation, I would never have started a conversation in the middle of Aarti. 😊 But for a character like Ashu who has never given much importance to God or Pooja as he has not grown up in such an atmosphere where you are taught the importance of things like that(with Dr. Mathur who is himself a loner), I am ready to give him the benefit of doubt in this case.

Well agree that puja shud no interruption by anybody... Bt considering its serial nt real life scene so... Its okay... I always value the rituals..:)

Let us separate the 'rituals' part from the 'intent' part of our culture and religion, let us separate the mechanical recitations from our deepest spiritual core.
