I need to vent some emotions in relation to tonight's episode. Warning: Not a review, but more like gushing ahead and extremely HOT content.
First of all, I usually don't post unless I want to review/analyze episodes as objectively as humanly possible -- and the last time I did that was in another TV show forum. But hey, I am making an exception this time, breaking all the rules, and posting just for the sake of, and here it comes --> GUSHING.
Because FINALLY. Finally, we were granted the infamous and long-awaited and totally awesome boxing sequence with Raghav 😍 I mean, really, we're all humans in here -- I assume -- and it's only human to drool when you see Raghav punching the beep out of the punchbag. [I secretly imagined him teaching Sia some of the moves, standing behind her and guiding her fists -- so romantic].
Ahem. Where was I?
Oh, right. The punching bag. God, I absolutely loved Raghav's BG score as he shook the water out of his hair. Can we have a replay, please?
Please stop messing with my hormones, Raghav. Thank you.
[insert drooling emoticon and a choir of sighs here]
Okay, on a serious note though.
Sia's fear has really taken its roots within her. Showed as she feared the darkness. I kind of want her to have a bit more screenspace than Viraj, because I want to see her journey and character growth rather than Viraj obsessing over Priya becoming Jhanvi.
I usually love Viraj's scenes, but they can easily overload an episode with darkness and I kind of want a balance -- which is something that I see Raghav bringing.
Anyway, the post is supposed to focus on Raghav -- mostly. He's such a contrast, such a awesome contrast to Viraj -- I feel like I waited years for his entry and someone to finally become Sia's anchor, become the hope. It's high time that she begins to, gradually, rid herself of the many fears that Viraj implemented in her.
Now, since she met Raghav, she has made a lot of progress. She filed a complaint against him, which had him smiling as in "that woman has guts", and she crossed a busy street -- albeit with a lot of help from Raghav, but hey, she trusted him enough to help her and that trust in itself is progress, because he's a MAN and one that she's seen beat up other men. Plus, she slapped a guy herself and then allowed Raghav to walk her home in the middle of the night -- I mean, that's progress too. Romantic progress for me 😆
I have to gush. Can I gush? I'm gonna gush.
Raghav is seriously one of the most amazing TV heroes for a long time. The whole silent, tortured soul thing just works for him. Harshad Chopra nails it every time. Raghav is the quiet type [and my momma used to say "it's always the quiet ones"], reserved, not very, um, accommodating as in friendly. Not a socialite, either. He's got a lot of pent up anger that just leaks to the surface every now and then.
I'm SO curious about his past. It'd be pretty awesome if he had a troubled one -- just to show another contrast between him and Viraj that where Viraj came from an abusive home and became an abusive man, Raghav might've experienced something similiar and instead become a protector of those weaker than him.
I can't wait for the RaghaVi romance to unfold. Sigh. I hope they take it slowly, but show us at least ONE RaghaVI scene in every episode. It's torture not having at least one. But then as long as Raghav is in an episode, I'll watch and drool.
Okay, no more gushing. Briefly, I just wanted to appreciate HC in tonight's episode. I've never seen any of his shows before this and I have to admit that -- hotness and droolworthy scenes aside -- the guy can make an incredible impression in a just two minute scene with his expressions and body language alone. It's not easy, having such brief scenes and then manage to emote the character depth needed in such a short time.
Is appreciated.
What else would be appreciated? Raghav getting more screenspace 😃
