last year i was unaware of d importance 29th april holds but now for me dis day holds a very deep meaning coz its one of those precious dates when god sent a gem of a person on dis earth to enlighten not just mine but every life dat she touches in some or d other way...😊
m really thankful to god n of course to sweetu that ma cutie is part of ma life...u know u r younger than me but d way u scold me n make me take care myself...the way u command n shower all d luv n care on me i just feel lyk a younger sis being all cared n pampered by her elder sis...luv u sweetheart n thanks for being there for me always...n once again...

YEAH… HERE'S AN OS that I HAVE WRITTEN FOR YOU ON THIS SPECIAL DAY OF YOURS…

"Ssshhh", I put my finger on my lips indicating all to keep mum.. "This is a surprise girls.. We better be careful"..
Everyone looked at me and started giggling.. All of them laughed on my hyper behavior.. But duh! It wasn't my fault.. Keeping a surprise is tough.. Isn't it?

We tip-toed in her house with a full-proof surprise for Golu di's (Silky) birthday.. All of us had a huge smile on our faces.. After all it was her big day.. N we were all here to be with her..
Aunty stood there giggling at our antics, looking at us hitting each other without making even the slightest of noise and stepping forward with utmost care.. "Girls, you can step in without worries.. Silky is dead asleep".. We looked at each other and nodded our heads negatively.. "No no aunty.. What if she hears the hassle.. No aunty we can't take the risk.." She looked at Zahra(Doll), of course not recognizing her.. We smiled and looked at aunty.. "Let us get in aunty, then I'll introduce everyone to you", I said.. Aunty smiled at me and moved forward not able to bear out slow steps anymore..

Finally we managed to reach aunty's room and took a breath of relief but still keeping our volumes down…
I stood up and hugged aunty, "okay aunty.. Time for the introductions.. 😊" Aunty lovingly patted my cheeks, "yeah.. go ahead.." I jumped with joy and started with my introductions.. "Aunty.. She is Zahra, Golu di's 'Doll'.. Then.. She's Abgina, my appi and Golu di's 'Sweetu'.. but wait why am I introducing her, you already know her… aah… moving on.. She's Piya di, Golu di's 'Shona'.. She's Waheeda, Golu di's 'Angel'.. She's Khushi, Golu di's 'Khushi'.. She's Sai di, Golu di's 'Sai' and last but definitely never the least.. She's our Ritzy di with her little daughter Rhia… 😃… yeahhh…"

I suddenly ended up being a little loud and Doll instantly slapped me to be quiet and I whacked myself on my silliness.. After the introductions, we started with our preparations.. It was 11 at night and Golu di was sleeping sound.. We had decided to decorate her room and surprise her in the morning because we didn't want to spoil her sleep.. We blew the balloons and took the decoration stuff and tip-toed in Golu di's room… We quietly and carefully placed the balloons all around.. "Doll.. Be careful not to step on the balloons", I whispered.. "Reshu.. Don't worry.. I won't.." and she showed her tongue to me.. I ruffled her hair and she looked at me irritated for spoiling her hair and laughed heartily but silently… 😆

Somehow, even in the dark room, we managed to decorate the room exactly as we wanted it to be.. We placed the gifts all around her and placed the HUGE card we had made for her.. We had placed the cake in the dining room and had decided to bring it in the morning itself.. We smiled looking at each other's dark faces..
Me, Doll, Khushi and Angel sat together in one corner of the room and Piya di, Ritzy di, Appi n Sai di sat together in the opposite.. We started awaiting for the sun to rise to get our huge surprise into actions.. We were all very excited because this definitely was the biggest surprise for Golu di and she hadn't anticipated this for sure..
"It's going to be so much fun..", Khushi said to me, Doll and Angel.. Doll instantly silently clapped her hands, "yeah… Minnie is going to be so happy and surprised… gosh someone cease my excitement a little.. There's still so much time for the sunrise.." .. I laughed off silently.. All of us were sailing in the same boat... We were all extremely excited to see Golu di's reaction to our surprise…

Slowly, the temperature started decreasing and we started feeling cold.. "Ooo.. Shimla's weather.. We better get something to hide ourselves in..", I whispered and me, Doll, Khushi and Angel got up gesturing the rest to come out of the room…
Ritzy di looked at all of us, the lovely elderly one out of all of us kiddos, "I'll go and ask aunty to give us two blankets.." I took Rhia in my arms and she went to get the blankets… Soon she came back with the blankets but Rhia had slept off by then.. We came back in the room silently changing out set of people this time.. I kept Rhia in my lap and me, Doll, Ritzy di and Angel sat together and Piya di, Appi, Sai di and Khushi sat together in another corner.. We hid ourselves in the blankets and smiled at this little adventure that we were doing.. Truly, it was an experience of lifetime..

I felt a pat on my shoulder and I lazily looked up to see Golu di standing in front of me with that huge grin on her face.. I instantly got up and looked around to see everyone awake except Doll and Appi.. The sun had risen and our surprise went down the drain... I woke up Doll and Appi and all of us looked at each other sadly while Golu di kept laughing…
We had slept at night and it was Golu di who woke us up when she woke up and saw her decorated room… She had understood that we had come to surprise her but alas! We got a surprise ourselves..

"Gosh.. You guys came all the way here for my birthday..", Golu di smiled wide looking at each one of us.. "Cutie.. We had come to surprise you but uhh.. Our surprise is kicked out of the window..", Appi said sadly and all of us nodded our heads with a doomed expression on our faces.. Golu di laughed off heartily and suddenly me n Doll looked at each other with a smile on our faces and eyes shining brightly..

"Golu di.. Lay down on your bed", I said and Golu di looked at me confused.. "Yeah Minnie.. lay back on your bed..", Doll said excitedly… By now everyone had understood the idea that had popped into the crazy minds of me n Doll but Golu di still looked at us confusingly… Everyone started laughing and supported us.. Finally we made Golu di lay on her bed.. I instantly clapped, "Golu di.. now close your eyes.." Angel jumped in, "yeah Minnie and pretend to sleep.. ok…" Now Golu di started understanding our crazy plan and a smile adorned her lips.. "Golu di.. We'll surprise you now and you have to pretend as if you're surprised.." All of us started laughing loudly and me n Doll shared a hi5 grinning like idiots..

Golu di, as per our instructions, closed her eyes but she was still smiling when Piya di whacked her, "Angel.. Don't smile like that.. You're supposed to be sleeping.." Golu di instantly hid her smile and we grinned..

Sai di went out and got the cake and stood in front of Golu di's bed.. All of us shouted in unison, "HAPPIE BIRTHDAY" and me and Doll jumped onto Golu di's bed and started shaking her… Golu di, in pretense rubbed her eyes, "OMG.. You guys are here to celebrate my birthday.. I can't believe it.." She looked with a surprised expression and all of us instantly burst into fits of laughter…

Sai di was the first one to compose herself, "c'mon Silky.. Now cut the cake.." All of us started clapping as Golu di blew the candles and me n Doll started jumping on the bed singing while others clapped and sang..
We clapped hard and ate pieces of cakes and soon Golu di's face was fully covered by chocolate cream..
Me n Doll jumped onto Golu di making her fall back on the bed, "Happie Birthday.. Happie Birthday.." Soon Khushi.. Angel.. Piya di, Appi, Sai di and Ritzy di also jumped onto the bed and we shared a bone crushing group hug.. 🤗

Soon.. Uncle aunty and Golu di's brother came there and wished her..

All of us went and washed ourselves and then, came back and woke up Rhia.. Ritzy di took Rhia in her arms, "Rhia, baby.. It's Silky maasi's birthday.. c'mon wish her.." Rhia cutely placed her tiny winy hands on Golu di's cheeks and kissed her happie birthday… All of us looked awed at the scene that just occurred..
Finally Golu di looked at all of us, "Guys.. I love you all so much.. You have no idea.. This is really a huge and a very pleasant surprise.. I'm going to go to ISKON temple.. Will you guys come with me..??" All of us hugged her and Khushi said, "of course Silky di.. all of us will come with you.." All of us nodded our heads smilingly and got ready and went to ISKON temple…

We became a part of Golu di's way of celebrating her birthday, praying to the Almighty and thanking Him for everything that he had given to us..
After the prayer, we came back home, "Golu di.. open your gifts..", I said.. Everyone's face lighted and all said in unison, "Yeah.. Open your gifts.." .. Perhaps Rhia understood the happening and she excitedly clapped and jumped in Ritzy di's lap.. Golu di instantly moved forward and kissed Rhia.. ❤️

Golu di picked up a gift which was from Piya di.. She enthusiastically opened it to discover 'a book and a pen' in it.. Golu di smilingly looked at Piya di n hugged her…
She opened the next gift to see 'a pendant' in it and Appi spoke up, "That's my gift, cutie.." .. Golu di smiled and wore it around her neck..
Next came out 'a pair of jeans' from Sai di.. 'A top' from Khushi.. 'A suit' from Ritzy di and Rhia..
Then, she opened the gift which was from Angel.. Angel hugged Golu di and Golu di saw a teddy bear as her gift.. She hugged back Angel and that to me was such a picture perfect..
Then, she picked up a small box and Doll jumped up to sit beside Golu di, "open it Minnie.. That's from me.. 😃" .. Golu di opened it and found 'an anklet' in it.. She kissed Doll's cheeks and wore it..
Lastly, she picked up my gift and I jumped up and hugged her from behind.. Golu di ruffled my hair and opened the gift.. I had brought 'a pair of sports shoes' for her.. "Golu di, you wanted a pair of sports shoes when you came to Delhi.. So here it is.." .. Golu di looked at me smilingly and kissed my cheeks.. She had slight tears moistening her eyes with the amount of love she had received today..
We all shared a group hug again with Rhia smilingly looking at us from the center..

The evening arrived and we partied like crazy..
Me and Doll being the dance fanatics, started dancing as soon as the music started.. Within few minutes, Piya di joined us dancing crazily and madly with us..
Soon.. We pulled everyone to the center of the room and made everyone dance..
We played "Chammak Challo" and me n Doll imitated Shah Rukh Khan dancing and calling Golu di as CHAMMAK CHALLO…
We danced and danced throughout the evening tiring ourselves like anything..

Later, we had our dinner and all of us gathered in Golu di's room…
We talked and played and soon, Golu di started yawning… I looked at her and laughed, "Golu di… We are not going to let you sleep today… [:p]"
Golu di whacked me lightly and we resumed our play..
Finally it was almost 2 at night when all of us finally felt the need to sleep.. We settled ourselves on the mattress that we had put in Golu di's room abandoning the bed for a day.. All of us lay down beside each other and wished each other goodnight before closing our eyes to save this day in our hearts forever..
