here is the next update. Sorry it took so long, been really busy the last few days. Sorry, It's reaaalllyyy cheeesy and i know it's never going to happen but hey we can all dream right 😛 but my first attempt at writing romance haha. Please keep commenting and liking. Part 5
Priya steps back a little and looks deep into his eyes. His dark eyes are filled with so much love that she cannot even describe.
He takes her hand and leads her to the bed. He motions her to lie down. Then he goes to the other side and lies down. He puts his arm around Priya's waist and pulls her closer. She snuggles close to him, her head on his chest. He kisses her on the forehead and they both drift off to sleep after a long emotional day.
In the middle of the night
In the middle of the night, Priya wakes up. Ram is still fast asleep but his grip on her is tighter than when he was awake. She looks up at Ram and smiles. She slowly tries to untangle herself from his grip and goes to the washroom. Ram stirs a bit and opens his eyes slightly. He notices Priya isn't next to him. His eyes fly open and he sits up looking around.
Ram: Priya! Priya!
Priya comes out of the washroom and sees Ram sitting up in bed with a scared look on his face. She runs over to him and sits down on the bed.
Priya: Kya hua Ram?
Ram: Priya tum kahan gayi thi?
Priya: Ram, main washroom main gayi thi. Kya hua aap itna dar kyun gaye?
Ram doesn't answer right away. Yesterday, once again, his fear of losing Priya had come so close to becoming true. And just now, when he didn't find her next to him, he thought last night had been a dream and she had really left him.
Ram: Priya, main saari zindagi tumhe khone ke dar mein nahi guzarna chahta. Tum jaanti ho, jab Dr. ne kaha tha ke tumhe shayad cancer ho sakta hai, main kitna dar gaya tha. Tab mujhe tumse pyar hone ka ehsaas nahi tha lekin phir bhi main tumhare bina zindagi jeene ka soch bhi nahi sakta tha. Aur phir jab mein US gaya tha, tab bhi wahan pe itni bechaini ho rahi thi kyun ki tum mere saath nahi thi. Isiliye tumhe video chat pe bulaya tha. Lekin woh bhi kaafi nahin tha. Teen din tumse door reh kar mujhe tumse pyar hone Ka ehsaas ho gaya. Aur jab hamara jhagda Hua, aur tum apne maayke chali gayi thi, aur jab tum waapis aayi thi aur ghusse mein jaa rahi thi toh mujhe laga ke Maine tumhe hamesha ke liye khodiya. Itne saalon se main the Ram Kapoor hoon aur apne business aur apna parivaar ko khush rakh kar bahut saal bita diye. Lekin aaj, is the Ram Kapoor ke peeche ek aur Ram hai, jo Priya ke bina adhoora hai. Tumhi meri zindagi ho. Aur main sach mein tumhare bina nahi jee sakta. Main tumhare saath, haste haste apni zindage guzarna chahta hu. Please tum mujhse vaada karo ke jo bhi ho, hum hamesha saath rahenge. Aaj ke baad, koi hamare beech mein nahin aayega.
Priya just leans over and hugs him tightly while nodding her head.
Priya: I love you Ram
Ram: I love you too Priya
Then she moves back and looks at him.
Priya: Ram aap ne yeh sab baatein mujhse pehle kabhi nahi kahi
Ram chuckles: Priya aisi kahi baatein hai jo maine tumse nahi kahi
Priya smiles: Acchha, jaise?
Ram, feeling naughty. He loved to tease her.: Nahin aise nahin. Har ek baat ke liye jo main tumhe batane jaa raha hoon, tumhe mujhe kiss karna padega.
Priya, feeling her cheeks go deep red: Kya? No way!
Ram: Theek hai to phir main tumhe nahin bataunga.
Priya: Ram yeh kya bachpana hai.. Bataye na!
Ram shakes his head and points to his lips. Priya blushes and lowers her eyes
Priya: Theek hai, mat bataye.
She gets up and walks over to her side of the bed, lies down and faces the other side (her back facing Ram). Ram faces towards her and puts his arms around her waist and pulls her close.
Ram whispers in her ear: kya hua? Itna sharma kyun rahi ho? Jab tum sharmati ho to bahut zyada khubsoorat lagti ho.
Priya shivers at the feel of his warm breath. It sends an electrifying current through her body. She can feel her cheeks going scarlett red all over again. She can feel her heart pounding and she is so sure Ram can hear it.
Ram: Ab so jao, bahut raat ho chuki hai.
Priya turns her face slightly to look at Ram. Then she completely turns towards him and hides herself in his chest. He holds her tightly and they both drift off to sleep once again in each other's arms.
The next morning:
The next morning, Priya wakes up first again. She smiles, when she feels Ram's tight grip around her. Slowly, she removes his arms and gets up. She goes to the washroom, freshens up and puts on a beautiful dark purple lace saree. She is standing in front of the mirror, trying to close the hook when she feels a pair of warm hands on her bare back. Priya closes her eyes as Ram takes over and helps her close the hook. He then moves all her hair to one side and kisses her shoulder and makes his way up her neck and to her ear. It was moments like these that made Priya wonder how her heart had not just leapt out of her chest.
Ram whispers in her ear: Good morning
Priya could feel his warm breath tickling her ear: Ram Please
Ram whispers in her ear: Priya, apni aankhen kholo aur dekho to sahi ki tum kitni khubsoorat lag rahi ho. Bas ek baat ki kami hai.
He reaches over and takes a bindi from the packet and puts it in the center of her forhead.
Ram: Ab bilkul perfect hai.
Ram rests his chin on her shoulder and encircles his arms around her waist. Priya slowly opens her eyes and looks into the mirror, seeing her and Ram together. She puts her hands on top of Ram's and blushes. She turns around to face him, her eyes still lowered. She puts her arms around his neck.
Priya: Kya baat hai, aaj office nahin jaana aapko?
Ram's arm are still around her waist. He pulls her closer: Nahin, aaj maine chutti li hai. Aaj ka poora din main apni biwi ke saat bitaunga. Woh, kal ki baatein abhi adhoori hai na.
Priya: Ram please chodiye na, abhi Bansi Kaka ayenge.
Ram: To aane do.
Priya. R..Ram.
He pulls her even closer, kisses her on the cheek and lets her go. He goes off to the washroom.
Bansi Kaka brings breakfast and chai. They both have breakfast together and Ram tells her the plan for the day. He knew Natasha was still in the hospital and so Niharika would be there all day today. He wanted to spend the entire day with Priya and fill her in on his plan to punish Niharika. He had also planned a surprise for her in the evening.
After breakfast, they spent the entire day together. They went shopping, had lunch at the first place they met, relived old memories, and stopped by Priya's favourite Kulfi stall on the way home. Ram bought a beautiful simple red saree with silver and white embroidery.
When they get home, both went up to their room.
Ram: Priya tum jaldi se tayyar ho jao, hume phir se bahar jana hai.
Priya: Kya Ram. Hum abhi to ghar aaye.
Ram: Haan janta hu lekin maine tumhare liye ek surprise plan kiya hai
Priya: kaisa surprise?
Ram: Yaar tum tayyar ho jao, phir tumhe khud sab pata chalega
Priya: Theek hai
She heads over to the wardrobe to pick out a saree to wear. Ram holds her hand and stops her. He hands her the red saree he bought.
Ram: Nahin Priya, aaj tum yahi pehno gi.
Priya: Ram is ki kya zarurat thi?
Ram: Zarurat thi. Pehle tum tayyar ho jao phir main tumhe bataunga is ki kya zarurat thi.
Priya goes to freshen up and puts on the red saree. She comes out and Ram is mesmerized by her beauty. He is just left staring at her with his mouth open.
Priya: Kya hua Ram, aap aise kyun dekh rahe hain?
Ram: Priya, tum jaan na chahti ho ke main tumhe is red saree main kyun dekhna chahta tha?
Priya: Haan, bataye na.
Ram comes close to her. While he is walking towards her.
Ram: Priya, tum iss red colour mein sab se sundar lagti ho, lekin maine tumhe kabhi nahi kaha. Isiliye aaj, maine tumhe yeh red colour isiliye pehne ko kaha take main tumhe yeh baat bata saku. Pehli baar hamari shaadi mein, jab tum bahar mera intezaar kar rahi thi, aur phir jab tum niche aayee, toh mein tumhe dekhta rehgaya. Mujhe kabhi pata nahin tha ke tum itni khubsoorat lago gi. Uske baad, hamare reception mein, maine tumhe kehna chaha ke tum acchhi lag rahi ho, lekin galti se kaha tha ke tum alag dikh rahi ho. Aur phir Karwa Chauth ke din, jab maine tumpe chillaya tha, aur us ke baad jab tum apni pooja kar rahi thi, tab bhi kitni khubsoorat lag rahi thi. Aur phir Australia mein, jab tum red saree mein meri baahon mein giri thi, tab mujhe laga ke vidiya balan thi, lekin jab tum uthi aur maine tumhe dekha, toh disappoint hone ka natak bhi kiya tha lekin main sach mein disappoint nahin hua tha. Aur ek jooth bhi kaha tha, ke koi bhi red saree pehn kar vidiya balan jaisa nahin ban sakta. Yeh jhoot tha kyunki tum uss red saree mein vidiya balan se bhi zyada khubsoorat lag rahi thi.
Priya could hear her heartbeat in her ears. Hearing Ram speak like this was making her melt all over again. She never knew he noticed these little details. She always thought he never really noticed much of her in the initial days of their marriage. After all, it had started out as a compromise that both of them had made for their siblings.
Priya is blushing: Ram, aapko yaad tha ke maine Red kabhi pehna tha?
Ram: Priya, mujhe har baat yaad hai jab tumhe dekh kar mere dil mein kuch hua tha.
By now, Ram is standing directly in front of her with an inch between them.
Priya is blushing and looking down. He lifts her chin and makes her look up at him. He kisses her forehead.
Ram: Lekin aaj, tum in sab se bhi zyada khubsoorat lag rahi ho. Kyun ki aaj, tumhare aankhon mein ek alag se chamak hai, jo pehle nahin thi.
Priya smiles and hugs Ram.
Ram: Chalein?
They get into the car and drive to the beach. It was one of their favourite places now. Ram had arranged a romantic dinner for two on the beach.
Priya: Ram, aap ne yeh sab mere liye..
Ram: Haan Priya, tumhein beach pe aana bahut pasand hai na?
Priya just looking at the view of the waves crashing onto the shore and the endless ocean, enjoying and taking in every minute of it. Ram stands next to her and puts his arm around her shoulder. Both of them are just standing together, enoying the view in silence.
Ram then says: Priya, jaanti ho Australia mein jab tumne Vidiya Balan ke saath dance kiya tha, tab meri nazar tumpe hi thi. Mujhe tumhare siwa kisi aur dikhaye nahi deta tha, Vidiya Balan bhi nahi. (Priya smiles at this and raises her eyebrow). Aur yaad ha jab maine tumhare liye salsa seekha tha aur Neha ke saath dance kiya tha? Tab mujhe tumhare saath dance karna tha lekin tumhare ped main moch ki vaja se kuch nahi kaha tha. Lekin aaj, abhi kya tum mere saath dance karogi?
Priya: Haan lekin music nahin hai?
Ram: Koi baat nahi, hum in lehron ki awaz pe dance karenge.
He extends his hand towards Priya who takes it and they start dancing to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, both of them looking into each other's eyes.
Ram: Priya, yaad hai jab hum ne pehli baar dance kiya tha?
Priya: Haan, hamare reception pe. Uss din ki bahut si yaadein hai jo main kabhi nahi bhuloongi.
They both laughed at the memory. That whole day had been a series of funny events. First, her opening her gown not realizing Ram was there, and then him praising her looks awkwardly, and then them dancing awkwardly, and her hook opening, and him trying to close it without looking at her back. And then the necklace issue which none of them wanted to remember…
Priya came closer to Ram and rested her head on his chest. Ram rested his face on her hair. He was getting that intoxicating feeling from smelling her hair. He tightened his grip around her waist.
Ram: I love you, Priya
Priya: I love you too, Ram.
They danced for a few more minutes and then sat down to eat. After they ate, Priya suggested they walk by the water. Hand in hand, they walked by the water, barefoot, squishing their toes in the sand and water crashing against their feet.
There was a small hole in the ground and Priya stepped in it and twisted her foot. She closed her eyes tightly, feeling herself falling. A second later she opened her eyes and found herself in Ram's arms, looking straight into his eyes. They just looked at each other for what seemed like an eternity. Ram then helps her get up. But she can't stand without holding on to him, let alone continue walking.
Ram: Yeh kya hai Priya, tum dekh ke nahin chal sakti kya?
Priya doesn't answer.
Ram: Bahut dard ho raha hai kya?
Priya nods, tears almost stinging her eyes from the pain.
Ram holds her from the back and lifts her up into his arms. She put her arms around his neck and looks at him longingly while he walks to the car with her in his arms. He carefully puts her into the car and drives home.
When they reach home, he lifts her again out of the car and carries her to their room. He gently puts her down on the bed and goes to get the first aid kit. He wraps her ankle in a bandage tightly and goes to change. Priya is just sitting in bed waiting for him, cursing herself for tripping at the beach. They were having such a good night. Why couldn't she watch where she was going? But she couldn't help but smile when she thought of Ram carrying her back to the car, and then all the way to their room. He had only carried her one other time…
When he comes out, he sits on the edge next to her and makes her lie down. He turns to leave when Priya holds his hand and gives him an apologetic look. Ram sits back down and caresses her hair.
Priya: Sorry Ram, Main jaanti thi ke aap poora din aur poori raat mere saath bithana chahte the. Aur ab is chot ke vaja se hume jaldi waapis aana pada.
Ram doesn't say anything. He just bends down towards her and Priya's pain is long forgotten…
