The beauty of the night is one thing that cannot be erased. Within the dark lies a bright light that one can only see if they look deep enough. Night and day have such a fine barrier that can only be broken by the light of the sun. This emulates fire and destruction. In the night lies its own tranquility.
There she lied down thinking of all the great times they spent together. All gone in the blink of an eye. Manvi had never known how important he was to her. Sure she loved him but she didn't know that she couldn't live to spend forever with himShe wasn't going to live much longer. He had a long life a head of himself...Why waste it on someone that didn't know whether or not she was going to wake up the next morning?

She remembered the first time they met; it was at a friend's wedding. She was the maid of honor and he was the best man. The idiot wouldn't stop staring at her the entire time, so she finally decided to get up and say something to him during the reception.
He blatantly told her that he was in love with her and she called him an idiot and walked away. They eventually met again and this time she had just gone thru a horrible break up. It was a dark and rainy night and she needed someone to talk to, and after he explained he was just kidding that day they went to a caf. And talked over a cup of coffee.
Virat offered her his leather jacket and she accepted and they walked on into the dark night. He told her how she was a beautiful woman and did not need a man to define her and that she was perfect.
After that night they stayed in close contact, they'd occasionally go out for a movie which led to them dating. One day he asked her to be his girlfriend and she agreed wholeheartedly knowing that this was perfect. They're relationship transformed from friends to lovers in a matter of no time. Before she knew it they had moved in together and were even planning to get married soon enough.
But then in a blink of an eye everything changed. Manvi was on her way to meet Virat at the airport when she got a phone call from her doctor. Telling her that she was in her last stage of Cancer and that she may have only a matter of months left. She walked back into her home Manvi felt like her entire life had just flashed before her eyes and fell to the ground and wailed like a baby. She didn't know how she was going to tell him especially since he was going to an important business meeting that could lead to him getting a great job in New York.
They had planned on moving there in a month once they got married. But now everything was different he needed to go and live his life. She knew what she had to do. He needed to hate her. Hate her very existence and forget that she and him and ever been together.

She washed her face and caught a taxi to the airport to tell him the greatest lie ever. She saw him standing there hands wide open waiting for her warm embrace but all she did was look at him. And tell him the harshest words ever "Virat, I hate you. I'm getting back with my ex. I used you for money and nothing else. Get out of my life and I never want to hear from you ever again" She felt the pain run thru her as she walked out of the airport and go back home. She knew he'd probably follow her so she had a friend move all her things out before she got back. And she disappeared.
(3 months later)
He came to visit her in the hospital, and he couldn't believe the girl he once loved became this shriveled up piece of nothing…he no longer hated her…he probably loved her even more now…but he had found support with someone else. Manvi was happy but sad at the same time. She was happy that he had found love and did not need her anymore…that was the last time they ever met…he laid next to her and hugged her as she floated off into the darkness.
