Jess... Though they sound the same, they are two different names...

Aradhya is a name of a Brahmin class and people of that sect use that as their last name...

Aaradhya is typically a boy name and the word originates from Sanskrit and it means to be worshiped.

To be worshiped... Poor Baby.. So much of legacy to withhold already without the burden of this name.. It just keeps getting worse..

 Aradhana..Would be better...πŸ˜†..or anamika..

Anamika was suggested so many times here in those long Beti B threads... πŸ˜†

The starting letter A has such nice names... They could have done so much more better...
Anyways, Their child, whatever works for them...

Oky but don't you think it's weird giving your child a boys name?

Many hindu names originate from Sanskrit and they have a common meaning.  Its just that some names by default end up to a boy name and some of them end up to be just a girl name.

Many names like Kiran, Ambar, Chandra etc are used for both boys and girls. Probably this name too is one of them...

Finally. The saga comes to an end. Congrats Aaradhya!

As for the gender of the name, I've come across boys and girls with that name.

BTW, were the Bachchans waiting for Mogli to ban herself before announcing the name? πŸ˜†

That's a nice name...

I am sure the girl will herself make the name attractive with her beautiful persona...just like how Aishwarya did...
