It was 8:30 in the morning and Manvi was still asleep.
She is so angelic while sleeping he thought. But who can imagine that behind this innocent face there is a bhayankar bhooki sherni. Ok Virat enough of talking to yourself quickly wake her up.
Virat (very sweetly) : Manvi ... hume mandir jaana hain utho .
She doesn't wake up.
Virat : Manvi utho yaar please and shakes her .
Manvi slightly opening her eyes : Kya hain chep . Kyun itni subha subha tang kar rahe ho.
Virat : Manvi yaar utho plz hume mandir jaana hain aur phir mall. Kal to bade plans bana rahi thi ki di ke liye yeh loong jiju ke liye woh loongi kya hua un plans ka.
Manvi now properly waking up : Oh main to bul gayi thi .Virat thank you so much main abhi tayaar hoke aati hoon.
Virat smiling : Jaldi aao.
Everyone ate their breakfast and then got ready to go the Mandir.
All the old people got into their own cars and the youngsters in another. Prem and Pia sat in the front seat while Manvi and Virat in the middle seat and Rohan and Kiya at the back. Rohan had somewhat gone fond of Kiya .
Manvi had decided to keep her window open as she liked the wind. Her hairs were flying on her face and Virat could'nt take his eyes off her.
Virat in his own thoughts : Jab chup hoti hain aur sirf smile karto hain to kitni acchi lagti hain."
The mandir came
Prem: Challo guyz Mandir aa gaya.
They all got down went to get the neccessary items required in the pooja thali and went inside the Mandir.
Strangely Virat stayed behind and Manvi noticed this.
Manvi ; Kya hua.
Virat : Manvi tum jao main bhagwaan mein vishwaas nahi karta.
Manvi : Arre aise kaise vishwaas nahi karte . Dekho Virat aaj tum jo kucch bhi hon woh sab bhagwaan ji ki wajah se . Tumhe jo wapas gana gane ki himat mili hain na woh bhi unn hi ki wajah se , so isseliye kucch aur nahi to atleast Thank You toh bol do , kya jaane wala hain tumhara. And then holds his hand and pulls him into the Mandir.
Virat and Manvi were the last one to enter the Mandir and so they stood together to pray.
Everyone prayed and now it was Manvi Virat"s turn. They stood side by side and prayed. Virat gave a slight glance at Manvi , smiled and turned to pray.
Manvi"s Pray : Bhagwan Ji main aapse kya maang sakti hoon. Aapne mujhe sab kucch diya hain , main aapse aaj bhi apne di ke liye khushiyan maangoon gi. Aap meri di ko humesha khush rakhna aur kabhi bhi unhe udas mat karna . Aur haan bhagwan ji iss bar main sirf di nahin par kisi aur ke liye bhi aapse pray kar rahi hoon . Virat . Bhagwaanji Virat ne 2 saal baad gana gaya hain . Please bhagwaan ji usske iss himat ko kabhi mat tootne dena aur woh aapne life mein jo kucch bhi kare uss mein sirf usse hi nahi par usski poori family ko khush hone dena. Bhagwaan ji hamesha Virat ke saath rehna."
Meanwhile Virat too was praying something special.
Virat's Pray: Bhagwaan maine aapse kabhi bhi kucch nahi maanga , maine toh kabhi bhi yeh soccha bhi nahi tha ki main aapke saamne khada rahoonga par aaj main aapke saamne khada hoon aur yeh sab sirf Manvi ki wajh se. Ussne mujhe completely change kar diya hain , aaj usski wajh se main gana ga raha hoon...aisa lagta hain ki ussne mujhe second life dii hain aur aaj main aapse bus ussi ke liye pray karoonga. Bhagwan Manvi ko humesha khush rakhna aur main jaanta hoon ki aaj bhi ussne aapse khud ke liye kucch nahi maanga hoga isselye main maang raha hoon . Usse duniya ki har khushi dena aur kabhi bhi usse udas mat hone dena. Bhagwaan aap humesha usske saath rehna.
They both opened their eyes at the same time and both had a small smile on their face...
The pandit came to give them prashad and even blessed them.
Pandit : Tum dono humesha saath rehna aur tum dono par Ishwar ki krupa bani rahe. Bahut hii pyaari jodi hain tum dono kii
Both Virat and Manvi just looked at each other and took the pandit's blessing and went. They both decided not to say anything to the pandit as they knew it would be in vain. They came out of the Mandir.
Pia : Challo atlast tum dono aagaye .Waise itni aisa kya manga tum dono ne kii tumhe itna waqt lag gaya.
Manvi : Haan kucch. Bata nahi sakti.
Virat: Yup main bhi ... bus yeh samjoh kii kisi special ke liye kucch special wish kiya hain.
And gives a small glance at Manvi. Manvi looks back at him with confused eyes.
Prem's mom: Prem bete tum sab mall jao hum wapas ghar jaa rahe hain...kal kii tayariya karni hain.
Prem : Ji mom.
And off went the six to the mall.
They all reached the mall in 15 minutes .
Manvi : Dekho Virat tum mere sath rahonge.
Virat : Kyun?
Manvi : Samjha karo yaar. Dekho Prem aur Pia love birds hain unhe aapna time do. Kiya aur meri choices bilkul alag hain aur woh Chaudhary's aur Vadheras's ko utni acche se nahi jaanti jitna ki tum jante hon. So that's why u stay with me Ok.
Virat : Ok . Par tum Chaudhary's ke liye shopping karo aur main Vadhera's ke liye.
Manvi : Haan par di ke liye maiin hi gift loongi aur Vanshikha aunty ke liye bhi ... unka birthday aa raha hain na.
Virat : Kya baat hain yaad hain tumhe . Theek hain challo.
In 1 hour gifts were taken for everyone... well except Jeevika.
Virat : Manvi plz jaldi karo yaar.
Manvi : Shut up Virat meri di lankhon mein ek hain unka gift bhi waisa hon chaiye.
Half and hour more went and yet gift wasn't taken for Jeevika. Manvi just couldn't find anything special for her. And then Kiya , Rohan , Pia and Prem came.
Kiya : Yaar Manvi kitna waqt laga rahi hain.
Virat : Yaar plz isse samjhao ki late ho raha hain.
Manvi : Guyz tum sab jao , main di ke liye gift leke aati hoon.
Virat : Tum sab jao ... isse aur ek ghanta to aaram se lage ga bhabhi ke liye gift lene main isske saath yahan hii rukhta hoon.
It was decided ... Virat was staying with Manvi in the mall while all the others went.
Virat has said the truth it took Manvi one more hour to find a gift for her di.
And then after a long wait she did find a gift for Jeevika...a super beautiful pair of earings.
It were bordered with diamonds and had a peacok in them with a nice emerald drop at the bottom.
Manvi : Virat yeh di pe bahut acche lagenge...they suit her eyes.
Virat : Haan Manvi yeh bahut acche hain le lo.
Manvi ( to the shopkeeper ) Bhaiya yeh kitne ke hain?
And then 20 minutes were wasted in bargaining...and then at last Manvi bought the earrings at requested price.
And then before leaving Manvi's eyes fell on another pair of earring , which would look amazing on her.
Manvi was just looking at them and Virat noticed this.
Virat : Bahut sundar hain .
Manvi : Haan...mein reception mein jo sari pehene wali hoon unn pe perfect match hain.
Virat : To lelo na.
Manvi : Nahi , mujhe paise save karne hain di aur jiju ke anniversarygift ke liye. Aur waise bhi mere pass dusre earrings hain . Ab challo der ho rahi hain.
Virat : Ok challo .
Manvi gave the earrings a last glance and went but Virat went to the shopkeeper and whispered something in his ears.
Manvi noticed this and asked Virat : Kya setting kar rahe the tum uss shopkeeper ke saath.
Virat : Arre yaar tumne abhi jo super bargaining kii usski mafi mangne gaya tha.
Manvi just makes faces.
They start to go when Virat stops at sudden.
Manvi : Kya hua?
Virat: Tum jao main aata hoon.
Manvi : Kyun
Virat : Um...washroom.
Manvi rolls her eyes and Virat goes.
It took Virat 10 minutes to come back and when he came he saw Manvi standing near the lift and talking to a man. Virat went near her but the man went by then.
Virat: Kaun tha woh?
Manvi : Huh...um liftman. Keh raha tha kii mujhe iss lift mein nahi jaana chahiye.
Virat : Kyun?
Manvi : Bol raha tha ki yeh lift ek baar beech mein ruk jaayen to chalne ka naam nahi leti.
Virat : Toh hum darte hain kya kisi se .
Manvi : I know na , hum kisi se nahi darte.
They waited for the lift but it was taking a long time. Manvi was getting restless.
Manvi : Virat
Virat: yes.
Manvi: Stairs se challe ... lift bahut waqt laga rahi hain.
Virat shows his hands which were filled with bags. Manvi understood.
Virat : Kyun ? Liftman kii baaton se darr gayi.
Manvi : Kya...main darr gayi ...ab toh hum iss hi lift se jaayenge.
Virat smiling : Nahi agar tum chahti hon toh..
Manvi : Kahan na , hum lift se jaayenge.
And then the lift came. They went and they were the only two over there.
Manvi rested along the wall of the lift and Virat started whistling . Manvi was nicely standing along the wall when all of sudden the lift gave a hard shake making Manvi loose her balance and she started to fall but Virat caught her at the right time.
They looked into each other's eyes...Why did Virat always have to save her?
But they came to reality soon.
Manvi : Um...lift ko kya hoga ya?
Virat : Pata nahi shayad khrab ho gayi.
Manvi : Kyaaa!!!!!
Virat presses the emergancy button but no use. They did every possible thing to divert attention to themselves but no use . Manvi was now super angry on Virat.
Virat : Yeh tumhari galti hain.
Manvi narrowing her eyes : Meri galti , Virat ji kya aap mujhe batenge kii yeh meri galti kaise hui?
Virat : Kyun lift se jaane ka idea kiska tha?
Manvi : Main tumhe keh rahi thi ki stairs se chalte hain par tumne apne haath dikhaye aur kahan kii lift se jaate hain.
Virat : Manvi mujh pe chilana band karo aur soccho kii ab kare kya?
Manvi : Prem ya Rohan ko phone lagao.
Virat : Good idea .
He dials Prem's number .
Manvi : Kya hua.
Virat : Dono phone nahi utha rahe hain.
Manvi : Great...Virat plz kucch karo mujhe yahan se nikal na hain.
Virat: Maine sab kucch try kiya Manvi kucch nahi ho sakta.
Manvi : What do mean by kucch nahi ho sakta...Virat mujhe jana hain...wahan pe kitni tayaariya karni hain. I don't like this place.
She now had tears in her eyes and Virat din't like that.
Virat going close to Manvi : Manvi , Manvi dekho we'll do something...dont worry.
Manvi somewhat feeling fine.
Manvi sits on the floor and Virat joins her and then in 15 minutes Manvi was sleeping and resting her head on Virat's shoulder. Virat could'nt help smiling...
On the other hand Prem and the others were getting worried for Manvi and Virat as they weren't even picking up their phones...so they decided to go to the mall again to serch them...Viren too was trying to contact Virat for some reason but couldn't reach him for a long time so he decided to call Prem and was shocked to know that both Virat and Manvi were missing from the past 1 and half hour...and then Viren succesfully got connection to Virat's phone .
IN THE LIFT
Virat too had fallen asleep by the time ... when all of sudden his phone rang making Virat wake in shock...he read the caller id and got more shock...he picks the phone.
Viren : Bhai tu kahan hain , sab tum dono ke liye kitne parishaan hain.
Virat : Bhai woh ek problem ho gayi hain.
Viren : Don't tell me tum dono phirse police station mein ho.
Virat : Nahi bhai woh main aur Manvi lift mein fase hooein hain.
Viren : Kya. Woh Mall ke lift mein.
Virat : Haan bhai plz kucch karo.
Viren : Don't worry main kucch karta hoon.
And then he kept his phone.
Virat looked at Manvi.
Virat : Accha hain yahan main pareshan ho raha hoon aur yeh madam hain kii aaram se so rahi hain...very nice.
And then for no reason a small smile came on Manvi's face...it was as if she enjoyed it that Virat was getting frustrated by her.
Virat saw the smile and it unkowningly bought a small smile on his face as well. But he soon came to reality and realized that he had to wake her up.
Virat : Manvi utho.
Manvi : Kya hain itni jaldi subha ho bhi gayi.
Virat : Ji madam ji aap poori raat mere saath soyi thi.
Now that woke her up
Manvi : Kyaaa... And then she saw Virat smiling and realized where she was.
Manvi : Virat kya hain...itna ganda mazak koi karta hain kya?
Virat : Ab tum uth nahi rahi thi toh maine yeh mazak kar diya...sorry.
Manvi makes faces.
Virat : Waise bhai ka phone aaya tha...shayad woh kucch kar denge.
Now that brought a big smile on Manvi's face...
Manvi : Sacchi ... main jaanti thi mere jiju no. 1 hain.
Virat : Bus bus zyaada hawa mein mat udo...
And then she got ready to get up when the lift gave another shake making her fall , somewhat , on Virat.
Now being sooo close to each other send a tingling sensation through both of them. They were so lost in each other's eyes that they din't notice the lift move and the lift door open.
But when the lift opened and Prem shouted Virat's name they came back to reality.
Pia and Prem came inside the lift.
Pia: Manvi tu theek hain na
Manvi nods and Pia hugs her.
Prem : Thank God Viren bhai ne hume call Kiya aur kahan kii tum dono lift mein ho nahi toh hum sab wapas jaane wale teh.
Manvi and Virat just looked at each other and smiled and got out of the lift.
In half an hour they all reached back home . Everyone was super happy to see Virat and Manvi. Upon hearing their story everyone was super worried for them and insisted both of them to rest for some time.
Virat was resting in his room and thinking of Manvi when his phone rang. It was Viren.
Virat : Oh shit main bhai ko phone karna bhool gaya.He picks the call.
Viren: Virat tum theek ho ... lift se bahar aa gaye?
Virat : Haan bhai hum dono lift se aa gaye aur ab ghar pe hain ... sorry main aapko phone karna bhool gaya.
Viren : It's ok aur Manvi kaisi hain?
Virat smiles : Woh bhi theek hain...she was sleeping in the lift.
Viren smiles : Dekho Virat wahan pe Manvi ka paka khyal rakhne wala koi nahi hain...so you really need to be with her ... tum jaante hon na ki woh har dusre din bimaar hoti rehti hain.
Virat thinks of her fainting : Haan bhai I will always be with her.
And he promised it now to himself that he would never let Manvi fall ill again ... that is if it was in his control.
On the other hand Manvi too was thinking of Virat...she knew that if he wasn't there with her in the lift for the whole two hours then she would have no idea on what she was supposed to do...he had tolreated her head on his shoulder and even had calmed her , she was really greatful to him ... she decided to thank him and went towards his room.
Manvi knocks his room's door.
Virat : Come in
Manvi entered his room . Virat was surprised to see her.
Virat : Manvi tum.
Manvi : Um...main tumhe thanks kehne aayi thi.
Virat : Thanks kisliye
Manvi : Woh aaj tumne mujhe lift mein jhela isseliye.
Virat smiles : Toh fir mujhe tumhe thanks kehna chahiye.
Manvi : Mujhe kyun ?
Virat : Tumne mujhe unn do ghante company di iseliye.
Manvi smiles... : Ok then bye.
Virat : Bye
She turns and screams . Her scream was to deafen Virat.
Virat : Kya hua?
Manvi super scared : Woh cockroach.
Virat : What
Manvi pointing to the area near the door.
Virat : Darro mat main kucch karta hoon...
And then 15 minutes were spended in his room running from here and there and Manvi shouting...but at last the cockroach was shown the way out.
Manvi : Thank You Virat.
Virat : No problem.
She turned to go but tripped near the doorstep ... she was about to fall when Virat caught her. They looked into each other's eyes.
Virat : Kya karti hon Bandariyaa ... kabhi toh mere bina ek kadam challa karo.
Manvi quickly realesed herself from his grip and went with awkardness...
His words rang in her ears ... she realized that since the day she came to Manali there hadn't been even one fall of her where Virat hadn't saved her ... it was as if it had become her habit to fall and get saved by Virat.
What if he wasn't with her at all those times ...
There was something more to their friendship but what was it ???
NEXT DAY
Today was special for everyone ... today was the big day. It was Prem and Pia's marriage.
The morning went nicely ... Virat woke Manvi ... and everything was ready now everyone was waiting for the evening to come.
EVENING
Evening came , Kiya started to get ready from 5;30 itself where Manvi was relaxed...afterall she had gotten ready for her Di's marriage in 15 minutes but overhere she had one whole hour...
And then she started dressing up... she was wearing a beautiful white lehenga. It was perfect , except for the blouse's strings which Manvi was finding super tough to tie.
Meanwhile Virat was passing through her room and he saw her. He just stood staring at her ... he couldn't help it...she was looking just awesome. He knew it was wrong to stand at stare at her , he knew he had to move but somehow his legs pulled him inside the room. Manvi saw him come. She turns.
Manvi : Virat tum?
Virat : Manvi main tumhari help karta deta hun.
Manvi understood what he meant ... she knew it would be awkward but then at that moment he was the only person available for help at that moment. She turns her back at him...he understood and went close to her to tie the strings.
While tieing the strings Virat's finger touched Manvi's bare back which sent a tingling sensation through Manvi.
Manvi in her mind : Manvi chill...he has touched you before ... woh tere itne kareeb aaya hain pehele tab toh tujhe tingles nahi hue.
But then she realized that she always got tingles when he was so close to her.
Virat : Manvi ho gaya.
Manvi came back to world : Huh... Thanks.
Virat : Waise tumhe aur kitna waqt hain?
Manvi : Paanch dus minute aur ... kyun?
Virat : Nahi woh actually sab log couples mein aa rahe hai toh maine socch kii agar hum dono..if u dont have any problem.
