Before taking a sabbatical of sorts, Karisma Kapoor had delivered powerhouse performance in three (almost) back to back films - ZUBEIDAA, SHAKTI and FIZA. This was the time when Karisma was getting ready to enter marital hood and was at the peak of her career. Today when she is making a comeback with DANGEROUS ISHHQ, there is an added emotional energy that she is promising to bring back on screen.

Informs our source, ''Core of the film is a love story and Karisma's character hunts for answers which have been buried in the past. Of course Karisma hasn't experienced past life regression in reality but she could still relate to the emotional turmoil that Sanjana (name of her character in the film) goes through.''

It's a known fact though that ever since Karisma has been facing the camera since her teenage days, she is aware about getting the right emotions on screen. However in case of DANGEROUS ISHHQ she has felt it all the way since post her rather extended break, she has gone through an emotional roller coaster ride.

The source continues, ''There are elements like unfulfilled promises, broken heart, desire for being loved and quest for happiness involved in the film. At quite a few occasions in the film you could see her misty eyed and emotionally charged in reality as well. However she wanted to continue in the same state of mind as it allowed the scenes to be shot with perfection.''

Says Vikram Bhatt, the film's director, ''There is no denying the fact that she is an actress par excellence. Still, she is that Karisma who has also seen a different life. As even media has reported, she has been through quite a lot in her personal life that has not been all that rosy. I can vouch for the fact that the actress from the past is different from the one that we would see today.''

We too would be happy to see that as long as the emotionally charged perfectionist Karisma is back in play after ZUBEIDAA, SHAKTI and FIZA.

Actor Jimmy Sheirgill, who shares screen space with Karisma Kapoor in her comeback film

"Dangerous Ishhq", describes his co-star as focussed and says the 3D romantic thriller will be an amazing movie.

"Karisma is a superb actress. She is very disciplined and focussed. Her character in the film goes through 500 years and she has portrayed each of the transitions very nicely. She would be seen in different looks," Jimmy, who plays a police officer in the film, told IANS.

"It will be the most amazing comeback for Karisma," he added

Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film also features Rajneesh Duggal as Karisma's love interest. Bhatt brought experts from abroad to shoot it in 3D format.

" 'Dangerous Ishhq' has been shot in 3D and Vikram has brought experts from North America for the film. It has been brilliantly shot in 3D," said the 41-year-old.

"You have to keep grooming yourself with time. It's high time we should start experimenting as far as the technology is concerned," he added.

Meanwhile, Jimmy has a bag full of films. The actor will feature in "Special Chabbis", "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 2" and "Tanu Weds Manu 2".

? Comebacks for heroines have not always worked. Why would Karisma Kapoor's work?

Firstly, as Karisma has said everywhere, this is not her comeback, but a return to her job after a maternity leave. But whatever you may call it, the important thing is that this a new Karisma Kapoor. She is not doing anything that she has done before. She is here for another innings and she has reinvented herself to an extent that has to be seen to be believed.

? Reports say she is separated from her husband. Did the personal issues distract her?

I have always considered Karisma to be a phenomenal actor, but working with her has made me realise that she is also a person of amazing strength and character. Not even one day did we realise if she was going through any tension. Professional to the core. Karisma is today's woman. She once asked me what the definition of Mom was and then she laughed and said, "master of multi-tasking."

? So what is Dangerous Ishhq? Erotic thriller? Horror? Thriller?

It is a supernatural thriller. It's about a girl whose fianc is kidnapped and the answer to who and why lies in the memories of her past lives. There is a 24-hr time period for the ransom and she has lifetimes spanning 500 years to scan for the villain of their love.

? Why 3D? Specially since it was not really appreciated in RaOne and Don 2?

But it was very much appreciated in Haunted. Both the films that you have mentioned have been converted to 3D while Dangerous Ishhq and even Raaz 3 are both being shot in 3D and there is a world of difference. If you enjoyed the 3D of Haunted, then you will be very happy with this film.

? There is the IPL and other big releases around the release of your film. Does that worry you?

It would be really stupid and cocky of me to say that it does not concern me but then in the present times there are so many entertainment avenues that there would always be competition. But I believe that a good film is a good film and nothing can take away the audience of a good film.
