Hey guys, this is my take on the 'kissing' scene. Please don't shoot me down, I thought some may enjoy this:
Priya turned around from staring outside the window to face Ram. He was desperately trying to get her undivided attention; he could not bear to see her in so much pain. He wanted to take her in his arms and give her the comfort and reassurance that he couldn't yesterday. He was jolted into reality by Priya's harsh declaration, and found himself frozen rigid in that spot when it happened. And today, it seemed like the longest day of his life, longer than when he was surprising her back from the US. He hated himself for putting her through this torture. Ram could see that she was behaving out of character, screaming and shouting, hurting his feelings, walking away from him, not saying anything, then saying too much. Damn, this is entirely his fault. Priya went on about the families, and their sisters but he took a brief moment and switched off to absorb his gorgeous wife. Even in her rage, Priya was magnificently beautiful - her hair cascading down her back, her long, sensuous neck exposed to him, her smoky eyes dampened with slight tears, tiny beads of sweat building up on her forehead, the scent of her perfume driving him insane. He wanted her. He loved her with every fibre of his being. Arrggg…… and then she started off. He suddenly caught onto the last part of what she was saying … "not in the same room, then I will leave". Oh no, not again. He can't let this happen to him one more time, but yet again, words failed him. If anything, he will make sure that she does not walk out on him ever again. As Priya brushed passed him, he caught her hand and spun her around, pulling her roughly against his chest. He has had enough! If he can't tell her, then he will show her. Priya was caught unaware and hardly had a moment to react before she realised what Ram intended doing, as his mouth came crushing down on hers insistently. His arms were tightly wrapped around her shoulders, hers, placed on his hard chest. Her lips were even softer than he remembered when touching them at the Lohri celebrations. He wanted to kiss her after he confessed his feelings in the office when he had surprised her after his trip to the US. And then everything spiralled out of control leaving him without an opportunity to do so. Parting her lips slightly Priya yielded to the strength of his Ram's kiss that engulfed her. Feeling her response, Ram relaxed and moved his mouth slowly over hers, changing the dominance to equal reciprocation. An explosion of total peace and serenity overwhelmed them both. The true meaning of life, the love they shared, and the utter acceptance of each other, heart and soul were reflected on both of their faces. Priya was overcome with emotion. A tear trickled down her eye as she felt the reassurance in Ram's kiss that she so desperately needed – the comfort of his arms, the support of his confession. His confession? What confession? He has not confessed anything to her as yet. Priya suddenly pushed at Ram's chest and breaks the circle of his arms around her. She tells him that she knows what he thinks of her and she doesn't care but she will not allow him to take advantage of her in this vulnerable state. She reminds him this isn't the time to get physical and she walks off while Ram continues to look at her longingly and apologetically, feeling completely dejected and miserable at yet another attempt to declare his love for Priya.
