What's with all the Gopi bashing?

There has been a lot of Gopi bashing today, I'm a bit weirded out by it.

i know i wrote the article about gopi the manipulator but that was frustration i still think she is innocent naive etc she is not dumb she is very clever , but i just remember what kokila said gopi will not say anything about anyone she is not a gossip, she will keep everything that she has heard to herself never revealing which is a good quality.

Nazma, I guess you are right, we all did attack Gopi today. I think we are all frustrated because Ahem has been absent all week and on top of that we got nothing but Urshi and their idiotic tricks, and Gopi taking their side. We all forget time to time that she really is not aware of all that they've done to her.

My apology for Gopi bashing and I hope we all get some awesome episodes next week leading to a rocking Maha Episode.

OK so in todays episode Gopi was irritating, slightly, but not really that much! She's going to side with Rashi because Rashi is her sister and Gopi doesn't believe that Rashi would have done anything that bad. To Gopi's mind Rashi has stood up for her against Urmila and even Ahem, and has always looked out for her.

We have to remember that really only the viewers know about all the kalakaries Rashi has done against Gopi. The ones that Gopi knows about she has been manipulated to think that Rashi has been acting in her best interests ie with the Anita ghost thing Rashi made it seem that she was trying to bring Gopi and Ahem together etc.

Gopi has no reason to disbelieve her sister, it's only because we as viewers know the truth we get so annoyed at her blind belief in a sister who is so evil.

The whole character of Gopi is one of innocence, purity of thought and an innate belief in people. It is this innocence that has made most of the Modi family love her. It has got Kokila thinking of her as a daughter and slowly but surely is getting Ahem to fall in love with her.

I love Gopi and yeah she needs to become more worldly but I love her innocence.

I agree with you..That is the portrayal of her character since beginning and only if there is a big revelation or incident happens then only she will recognise the true Rashi. Well, there were incidents which could have opened Gopi's eyes, such as bhoot track (she agreed that Rashi was wrong), exam drama (she could easily figure out how Rashi was delaying with unusual prayer) and Rashi organising pooja for the anniversary which was Gopi's idea. But they were not strong enough to convince her about the intentions of Rashi.

As a character, she was never being shown angry with anybody since the beginning even with Urmi. Rashi was always showing supportive and caring to Gopi outside. Even, Kinjal was mean and rude to Gopi many times, but still she was always concerned for her. So I feel, it is part of her character portrayal, that Gopi is shown blind to Rashi. I know everybody is frustated with the fact that she is trying to stop Jigar from revealing the fact to the family. But, I feel this will act as a trigger in building true relationship between Gopi and Rashi later.

Let's hope that with all kalakari exposure, Gopi will have some brains and Kokila and Aham will make her understand that the real world is not full of good people but there are bad people too around us.
