The world we live in is changing every day

the start of 20th century saw some of bloodiest years in history of mankind

by 1945 world had lost about 70 million people just in last 6-7 years

thereby generating a wave of desire for peace for whole humanity

United Nations

was founded on 24th October 1945

United nations also does lot of work for improvement of our planet and humanity in general

The crazy creatives would like to as members to share their beliefs towards world peace and improvement of our planet and humanity.

We encourage all Ifians to please share how they feel United nations can work to make world even more better place

Please share with us which part of United Nations is closest to your heart and why

In hope of peace and prosperity for whole world

Yes the UN has a major say in the world of politics and policies for the World. But offlate its power and stature is getting undermined. Nevertheless for the sake of humanity and development of the Third world all its projects and initiatives are still respected and carried out with ardent zeal.. A few good men still make a world of difference. The UN is one such a body that is highly regarded and appreciated..A very happy October 24th-UNday!!

rozy world we live today has become so used to voilence..people tolerate anything anywhere and even later on celebrate death as if it is some kind of glory...europe ,china and so many other countries suffered disasters in world war 2...

atleast united nations is there to avoid such devastating conflicts in future and to ensure development in third world countries...push for enviornemntal changes...

As for the UN, I really appreciate their humanitarian work such as for refugees, children, organizing relief for disaster hit areas etc. BUT the very purpose for which it was formed - avoiding conflict - was severely undermined after 9/11... They have no credibility or clout as far as politics is concerned... War and Regulations for Environment protection (aka Global Warming) are areas where they are failing

Great post Sami !

The United Nations was founded with some very lofty ideals. But somewhere in between it lost it's importance and say in world affairs, especially when powerful nations refuse to take responsibility for the sad state of affairs in the world today.

Nevertheless, the UN, within it limited means, has been doing a lot of service in many important areas around the world.

The need of the day is probably, that the member nations get together and chart out fresh initiatives that address major issues like education, hunger, human trafficking, terrorism and sustaining the environment.
