What kind of life is Tosty and Maliti living ???

Like most of today;s t.v. shows, women working like maids in saas bian sasural !
Both Tosty and Malti had jobs , career but the moment they enter as 'bahu' they have to leave their jobs and do all these maid kind of work to prove themselves ' good bahus'.
What message are they conveying to viewers ?? 😡

You are right! They have gotten into a maha kanjoos family that does not even keep a maid. It's weird to see Toasty wearing such expensive sarees n washing clothes!

Well, in defense of what they are showing, actually still happens in many many families across India. I am not surprised they are portraying the C family as old fashioned/traditioned..you have to realize they are a male dominate business family. If they had a daughter or if Vimala was there, may be they would have had a different perspective of girls. That not being the case, you can hardly blame them for what they make use of their bahu. With C being the old minded buddha that he is, malti and Toasty, pretty much chose their fortune. I think the CV's are showing what still runs very true in many families across the country...

Ya, they quit their jobs for their family ! Malti was different, she had to work as she had to pay for the house and she had financial problems !

Yes. Many families in India want educated working bahus, but the moment they get married or have a child, they tell these same career-minded bahus to quit their jobs. It has happened to a cousin of mine, and her husband is a software engineer, so if such educated people can do that, C family is anyway an old fashioned business family, where even the men are not too concerned about studying too much, as they all finally end up in business.

Malti never had a career.. cooking dabbas is anything but career..

Toasty had a career but none forced her to leave the job. She did it on her own. It was her decision.

Like it is wrong to force someone to quite job to do household works.. it is similarly wrong to question someone ( who has wilingly decided to leave job ) for the sake of women freedom..

An open mind will help to take a broader perspective of what is happenning.. Toasty is a challenge freak.. gets bored without a mission and this family gives her enough challenges in life to keep playing larger than life role and hence she is happier in this role than her school teacher role.. Also quoting her.. she is also fulfilling her teaching role by taking care of Praveen and Gyan though I doubt how much time the former spends in study!!

In summary, let them do what they are happy with.. everyone need not sacrifice their happiness to be a sacrificical lamb of pseudo modernism.👏👏

The question I raised here is, " What kind of message the show conveying?"
Spending 3-4 hours on washing clothes of 7 hatte katte men, cooking, cleaning, doing groceries etc and showing how that is right , worth sacrificing career can mislead some viewers.
For those who watch it for fun is fine, those who do not take any message is also fine but those who get affected by watching shows might start expecting same from their respected bahus' or some would be bahus would start igniring importance of education !
The serial started as 'satte pe satta ' type light comedy but turned into typical show !

Why the role of a tv serial should be of a preacher? do we have lack of enough serious channels and numerous increasing number of religious channels where babajis preach 24*7
