Rafi and Vinit

Please don't compare Vinit with Rafi...You will be Vinit's biggest enemy if you do that...Did you see the opposition from people in one of the threads here in this forum ....By the way I am not a great Vinit's fan ...

I feel you cannot compare Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh with any of the present day singers....they are all geniuses .......god given voices...which come once in a century....

yes kannoth u r absolutely right vinit is copy cat of sonu nigam.
i think if he wins this competition his job will be to go to recording of sonu nigam songs which sonu nigam can't do (ill , sickness),so the music director would not have to wait for sonu nigam.vineet hai naa....

No up coming singer comes up with original style

everyone copied one or the other, sonu copied Rafi, Kumar Sanu kishore Da.. even Latha Didi used to copy too

Slowly they wl develop thier own style..

It is unfair to compare Vinit to Rafi Saab, ofcourse he copies him but for that you don't hv to pull that guy down..

yeah I like Sudesh Bhosle, where is he these days??

he used to hv his own TV programme, what a amzing mimicry artist, escepcially when he does Sanjeev Kumar one..

Vinit is a kid. He has still a long long way to go .

Rafisaab's voice is out of this world. I have seen him singing 'Madhuban me radhika naachi ' live, He used to sing toughest songs with such ease.

Vineet does have a long way to go. Even though can sing good, he cannot be compared to Rafisaab. For people who DARE compare Vineet to Rafisaab...

Can Vineet do classically powerful numbers like:

O Duniya Ke Rakhwale (Baiju Bawra), Man Tadpat Hari Darshan Ko Aj (Baiju Bawra), Binti Suno Bhagavan (Taj), Duniya Na Bhaye Mohe (Basant Bahar).... all of those songs are single raga-based. Try the very difficult multi-raga-ed song Kuhu Kuhu Bole Koyaliya! Can the same wonderfully well adapted classical singer can sing songs that touches the heart and make it weep like "Babul Ki Duayen" (Neel Kamal), "Yeh Duniya Yeh Mehfil Mere Kam Ki Nahin" (Heer Ranjha), "Gam Uthane Ki Liye Mein To Jiye Jaunga" (Mere Huzoor). Can the sentimental and classical singer make people excited and laugh like in "Main Jat Yamla Pagala Diwana" (Pratigya), "Congress Ko Vote Do", "Mere Desh Ki Ladki" (parody of the famous Upkar song), "Do Jasoos " (title song) and "Band Mutthi Lakh Ki" (Chalti Ka Nam Zindagi) and the Tel Malish song. What about all of the love songs? Rafi saab was a genius.

Rafi saab was an all rounder. A legend and an institution of sangeet all in himself. Vineet is just a beginner. He is definitely inspired by this institution (which music lover wouldn't be?). But to compare him to Rafisaab or any legend for that matter is just wrong.

think about it for a sec does it make any sense to you vinit fans, if it does than u r in fools paradise.

i agree i guess we should not be comparing any of these singers to any legends like Rafi saahib...but what i think jyoti was trying to say was that vinit has great potential and a long way to go and become a star like rafi saahib 😕

but yes exact comparison i guess really wouldnt be fair to the legends..
however i must admit vinit sung the qawaali superbly with no errors being made
