Bandini's 'Taru Fui' Rasika Joshi passes away

MUMBAI: Rasika Joshi who plays Neeraj Grover's mother in Ramgopal Varma's Not A Love Story and was the headmistress of a school in Shah Rukh Khan's Billu passed away after losing battle against cancer on Thursday night. Rasika was 46.

An NSD pass out she was very popular with the directors like RGV who worked with her in films like Darna Zaruri Hai, Vaastu Shastra, Gayab and Ek Haseena Thi.

She was a versatile actor and could play a comic and negative character with the same ease.

Her role as Taru fui in Ekta Kapoor's serial Bandini was a hit. "She was one of my most favourite actors and a very lovely person it is sad we have lost her," said Ekta.

Some of her other films were Johny Gaddar, Bhoot Uncle and Malamal Weekly.
