If he was a logical and not so immature he would get it already...Urmila just admitted what happened when Gopi was a child, that is negligent parenting, with all his high education he doesn't know that type of decision cannot be left to a 5 or 6 year old to make, as Gopi was at class 1. Ahem picked fault in her anyway regardless of whether she was illiterate or not because he was still stuck on Anita. Considering he still has flashbacks of Anita this guy is seriously not moving on. There is a slight attraction towards Gopi but its not enough for him to go completely gaga over her.

The only reason Ahem has not got Gopi educated is cause hes embarrassed that word will get out that his partner is illiterate its the same problem as him being ashamed of his culture when in Switzerland when he told Gopi to just sit and keep quiet and basically be invisible and also the shame of Dhawal's business.
