Hardik Sangani enters Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma as Moti, says, 'For us Gujaratis, lunch & dinner..'

Actor Hardik Sangani, who was last seen in the film Tanhaji and the popular television show Thapki Pyar Ki, is stepping into an exciting new role as he joins the iconic sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV. The show, known for its lighthearted storytelling and social messages wrapped in humor, has remained one of India’s longest running and most loved television series since its launch in 2008.

Hardik will portray Moti, a hilariously funny character who manages the newly introduced Rupa Ratan Saree Shop. The entry of this new shop is expected to open up fresh storylines within Gokuldham Society, a setting that has become synonymous with everyday humor, community bonding, and relatable situations. Over the years, the show has thrived on its ensemble cast and memorable characters like Jethalal, Daya, and Taarak Mehta, each contributing to its enduring popularity across generations.

Sharing his excitement, Hardik said:

"I have grown up watching Taarak Mehta. For us Gujaratis, lunch and dinner are incomplete without the show. I have always wanted to work on this series, especially since I’ve worked with most of the cast members in the past through Gujarati theatre. When Asit Bhai called, I instantly said yes; he was kind enough to adjust the schedule around my prior ad film and play commitments. I hope people love Moti as much as they have loved the other characters in the past."
