I agree! Not a fan of the movie myself, but I'm also in the minority b/c the movie made huge buck!!! So congratz to the team and all the fans too!!!

"3 Idiots" & "Dabaang" are entertaining movies but I fail to see why such a recognition...Some parts of the stories made no sense.

Anyway I guess the audience voted for what they liked the most.

Lily, The highest grosser of that year always wins the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. The jury just goes by the numbers and it was Dabangg. It didn't win the best film.

The Best Film Award went to Malayalam film Adaminte Makan Abu (Adam's son Abu) and Do Dooni chaar was adjudged the Best Hindi film Award.

Chak De India, Veer Zaara, Devdas, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil to pagal hai, DDLJ, Darr won the same award that Dabangg won this year.
