OS 2

Taani smiled Onu's way then noticed a bump on his forehead. She leant forward and ran her fingers over the fairly large bump and gasped. "Onu!" she exclaimed and he took her hand away from his forehead and took them in his, moving his haie to hide the bump. It was no use.

"Onu!" she said, moving his hair that fell in front of him away from his face. "yeh kya kiya tune?" she asked but he shook his head. "Onu, main do din ke liye kya jaati hoon aur tune aisi haalat banaadiya apna" she shook her head.
"Taani" he stopped her hand oncemore and this time touched her cheek, assuringly.
"Jaanthi hoon main tujhe, dekh ke nahin chalraha hoga, hain na?" she asked "tehr" she reached for her bag "main saaf karti hoon" she said getting a tissue out and wiping the dry blood around the bruise.

"Kitni baar main kehti thi tujhe? Apna diyaan rakha kar! Lekin nahin! Tu meri baat suntha kahaan hai?" she muttered, making Onu smile as she pushed his hair back.

She was still Mishti. His Mishti. She hadn't changed.

"Onu?" Taani looked up "Tu sunraha hai na?"
"Haan" he nodded, smiling as she put the tissue away.

2^nd Feb

OS

"Onu!" Taani batted his hand away from the mitaai when they reached the store.
"Taani, khaane de na" he pleaded, just as he would do in their childhood
"Nahin!" she told him "bilkul bhi nahin!" she said "ab chal yahaan se" she said pulling his arm and prying him away from the temptation of the sweets.

"Tu meri maddat karne aaya hai ya khaane ke liye?" she asked as he persuaded her to stop by another mitaai store.
"Dono" he said finishing the rasgulle.
"Onu?"
"Haan?"
"Acha hai?" she asked as they walked home.
"Haan, bohat acha" he made a face showing her how much he was enjoying it.
"Mazaa aaraha hai?" she asked
"Haan Taani, sahi main"
"To theek hai" she said reaching for one "thode aur khaale!" she said stuffing it into his mouth then ran off.
"Taani ki bachi!" he exclaimed chasing her into the house, as she shrieked.

"Maa!" Taani exclaimed running behind Laboni to pritect herself.
"Taani! Kya kar-rahi hai baba?"
"Maa! Dekho na isss!" she complained, catching her breath. "itne rasgulle kaaye the ke poocho mat!"
"To khaane dehti na!"
"Haan! Dekhiye na maa!" he complained
"Maa! Agar main rokti na to vo pehle ki tarah motu ho jaatha!"
"Nahin hota!" he told her
"Hota!"


"Taani bilkul sahi kehrahi hai" Neelu's voice came from behind Onu.
"Dekha!" Taani smirked, walking over to Neelu, "vaise maa, aapko nahin lagta hai ke vo thoda sa mota horaha hai?"
"Haan! Bilkul. Lekin kya karen? Teri maa khilaa khilaa kar isko motu phir se banaana chahti hai" she sighed
"Chinta mat karna maa. Main hoon na" she made a face at Onu.
"Maa! Dekhiye apni behti ko"
"Haan, haan. Main sab dekhrahi hoon!" Laboni said pretending to glare at Taani."Ab tum dono jao aur jaake haath mun doh ke aao"
"Theek hai maa" Taani walked off, giving Onu a look before running off.
"Di?"
"Haan?"
"Kohi kehsakta ke in dono ki shaadi hone waali hai?" Neelu chuckled and Laboni laughed with her.

OS.

"Taani?" Laboni called from the garden
"Haan maa?" she called back from the kitchen where she was making dinner
"Aana to!"
"Aayi" she replied and turned the gas cooker off before making her way into the garden.
"Yeh sukaana, mujhe dukaan se phone aaya hai. Udar jaana paregha" she said passing Taani the bucket of clothes.
"Acha, theek hai" she smiled
"Main aati hoon" She said
"Acha" she nodded and Laboni left.

Taani began squeezing the water out of the clothes and hung them up one by one.

She felt something light fall on her back and ignored it for a second, thinking it was just her imagination but then, whatever it was, came faster. She turned to see Onu hiding flowers behind his back. "kyun aaya tu yahaan?" she sulked, turning away from him.
"Meri Laboni Maa ka ghar hai, jab aana chahta hoon, aoongha" he told her walking up to her.
"Maa abhi dukaan gayi hai. Jab aayeghi to tu aana" she said picking up the bucket that had now gathered water.
"Taani, chal bahar chalte hai?" he suggested
"Bahar?" she asked him
"Haan" he said excitedly
"Main tere saath bahar kyun jaoonghi?" she asked "tu to mere saath ghussa hai na?" she reminded
"Abhi maine chordiya, ab tu bhi chor"
"Nahin" she walked off and he followed her into the house.

 "Onu! Tu jaayegha nahin yahaan se?" she asked and began to tidy the living room up.

"Nahin jaoongha" he said sitting on the sofa, comfortably, putting his legs up.
"Onu!" she exclaimed, pushing his feet out of the way so that she could pass him.
"Taani! Jab main dekhta hoon na tujhe, tu saaf safayi karti rehti hai!" he said
"Aur main jab bhi tujhe dekhti hoon to tu mujhe tang karta rehta hai!" She told him "ab hogaya hisaab baraabar?" she asked "mujhe kaam karne degha?"
 "Taaniii" he pleaded "chal na, thodi dehr bahar chalte hain" he persisted. He wasn't going to give up so easily. She sighed and turned to him.
"Mujhe nahin jaana!" she told him, irritated  "tu chala jaa" she said
"Theek hai" he got up from the sofa "Main jaaraha hoon"
"Theek hai" she said, putting the magazines from the table to the side.
"Maine kaha ke main jaaraha hoon!" he emphasised from behind her and she turned to face him.
"Aur maine kaha: theek hai!" she countered "ab jao!" she ordered and he pretended to glare at her before leaving.

Here's another one. I basically rewrote the yesterday's second scene

OS 2

Taani walked into his room and stood by the door, watching for a second him as he slept. He looked so peaceful. So cute. She stood there for a second, just admiring him before turning to open the curtains, she pulled the curtains back and stepped back, knocking over an ornament as she did. She made a face then looked at Onu to see him squint his eyes as he stirred.

"Kaun hai??" he exclaimed
"Main hoon" Taani walked over to the bed "chal, acha hai ke tu utha"
"Taani, subha subha yahaan kya kar-rahi hai?"
"Maa ne kaha ke main tujhe aake utaaloon"
"Kyun?"
"Kyun ka kya matlab Onu? Pata hai ke time kya hua hai abhi??" she asked
"Kya?" he said, turning over to face the other way.

She made her way over to the bed and pulled him to face her. "Abhi das bajgaye Onu! Chal ut!" she told him, trying to pull the blanket away from him but he got to it before her and pulled it over himself. "tu jaa, main aata hoon"

"Haan, tu yahi kehga na. Tu jaa main aata hoon. Lekin mujhe pata hai ke jab main yeh darvaaza se nikloonghi na? Tu karaate maarkar soraha hoga aur phir maa mujhe daanteghi!"

"Taani!" he stirred, irritated that he was being woken up and lectured so early in the morning for him.
"Onu, main teen thak ginoon gi, agar tu nahin uta na..?" she paused to think. He pulled the blanket off himself.
"To kya?" he asked "Kya karleghi tu"
"Main ek balti leke paani giradoonghi tere upar!"
"Giraakar dikha" he challenged her, slowly pulling the covers back.
"Tu ruk, main abhi aati hoon" she said making her way into the bathroom.
"Aah na!" he called and she made her way back into the room to see he had disappeared and the bedroom door was open.
"Acha?" She said to herself "theek hai. Baad main dekhleti hoon usko" she said and smiled to herself before making her way downstairs
