since u guys have given me a right t post all my poems....i am posing it....
its about a grandpa writing to his dead wife about his grand daughter....lemme know how u guys find it....its different from what i write usually....I sit in the balcony
Look at dawn
It is so beautiful
Like an artist has drawn,
To bring you and me closer
Do you remember
How we would sit together
And talk of our life.
Why our son didn't marry
Why he didn't take a wife?
I wish you could see
He has married finally
And has the most beautiful daughter
Our lovely Devika,
She is as pure and true
As goddesses in heaven blue???.
She is 8 yrs old
Our little angel she is.
Very naughty, almost cunning
Always busy, always running.
She has a windowed smile
Which uplifts my mood
In a while
She told me she wants to
Be a pilot
Cause she wants to fly?
I see her getting ready for school.
She is wearing her school uniform
With a matching silk ribbon
She is trying to tie it with care
On her curly hair?
I hear her complaining to her mom
"Why do you give me
Same tiffin everyday
I wan't to eat maggi
Please make it today".
But magi was denied entry
Into her tiffin box
She went to school
With a grumpy face and untidy locks.
Few days back we went
To her music concert.
Do you know she has a voice
So melodious.
I couldn't imagine
She could sing so well.
I was astounded by her rendition
To my all time favourite song.
We have recorded her voice
And I have the cassette in my cassette player
She always makes me happier
When I hear her so clear.
Its like honey to my failing ear
And companion to my electronic wheel chair.
She has come to my room
And is driving me crazy.
I have to abandon what I am doing
And tell her a story.
Yet she kept quiet
When I said I am writing to you.
She has asked me to call you back
So that we can make a Ludo team
She predicts, you would always win.
I am keeping away half my savings,
for her alone,
I want her to have a good educatiom
Without our son taking any nasty loan.
I also want her to marry
A decent guy
Who will always keep her happy
And never make her cry.
So till all this is settled
Please wait patiently for me.
Don't flirt with any handsome old man
Up there.
I will join you soon
We have loads to share.
