Monday 1/11/10 - Archives ' Copy

Prem is doing some thing with Shree's cell phone - sends a msg to Karthik - " I hate you,
do not disturb me " - well, Roja got to see this along with Karthik - the dumbo she is , she could not READ when Prem was typing the msg 😉 Prem has a victory smile - just short of a victory dance. Karthik promptly receives the message, lets Roja read it too and is pensive. Thatha comes, sees that grandson is upset , wants to pep him up and tells him a story
( Hmmm, grand parents nna story solliye aaganum nnu rule??) Says that a wild animal was getting in to the city and creating havoc. Some one offered to weave a net - a net from which nothing can escape. Finally, no one could save the weaver himself from the net , reason?? He weaved the net around his ownself !! (uh huh, enna kathaiyO?? ) - the point is that thatha has found out the fact - Karthik spinning a net around himself - looks for some Nobel Prize and a load of other honors but Karthik shoo shoo s him. Pallu comes - obviously eavesdropped
( she has an ugly nose which pokes everywhere and an ugly ear which turns in all directions !!) - chides Karthik and asks him to apologize. karthik is equally irritated ( aww, Roja was !!! ) and walks out - Pallu does not know what hit her.

Prem comes to Shhree's place, in the pretext of giving back the cell phone. Some one calls while he is talking to Shree - Prem shouts saying that he has sent a sms - "do not disturb me ever again " - turns to Shree and says "he is lying, sms varaliyaam !!" Finally takes Shree's cell phone and says that he sent the sms by mistake " yen friend peru Karthik.......athu unga Karthik phone kku pOi irukkum !!! " Shree says that she will explain to Karthik but Prem wants to personally see karthi and apologize. Anu's sister who is in the US of A calls with the news "We are in Madras....coming Friday " Both Anu and her bro are overjoyed - bro has switched sides - "intha Nivedha namakku vendaam, akka pOnnai pidichu, US le settling ...yeeyy yippee"

Prem meets Karthik - tells him that he is the one who sent that message from Shree's phone.....Karthi is shocked...

Tuesday - Anu vukku Pallu vali- namakellaam thalavali...

2nd November 2010 - Tuesday - Episode : 137

Prem's tete-a-tete with Karthik continues. Prem talks about Shree's true love for Karthik, that he sent the message from Shree's mobile by mistake. It was his fault, tells Karthik not to be angry with Shree, that Prem would do anything to make Karthik believe, even promise. Karthik asks him to promise, Prem ultafies the plate and tells that he told only for pEchchukku, asks if Karthik doubts him or Shree... to cut the long bore - tells that Shree should be happy and Karthik should not spoil her happiness... After Karthik leaves he celebrates the victorious act. (very sick..)

Adhi brooding and sitting. His friend Venkat comes and calls him to have grub. Adhi refuses... incomes Shreenath. Shreenath wants to know the reason for Adhi's walkout from home. Adhi does not want to discuss anything. Venkat says the same thing is being repeated by Adhi. Shreenath says Venkat should have convinced and sent Adhi back home. Adhi says no one is bothered about him both his father and Nivedha are more bothered about their likes and suyagowravam. Adhi is told of Shruthi's visit to his house and that his mother and Shruthi are worried about him. Updates of the argument between Shruthi and Nivedha. Venkat also recommends that Adhi goes back home. Adhi wants to know if he is an inconvinience (nee mattum illa, indha sodhappal kadhaiyE one big inconvinience!!) Adhi tells he is out for a reason, Nivedha is reacting because of his kazhuththaruppu aka calling off the engagement. Until his problems are solved he is not going home.

Palli browsing through newspaper. Her mother and father look like goat stealing thief.. looks at the advertisement. Mummy wants to know if the ad is on the paper and is shown the ad. Karthik enters and is updated about the ad, wants reassurance if anyone will contact them. RR too wants to know about the ad. They are joined by the friend who is shown the ad. (eppavO senju irukka vENdiyaa vElai..) orE sOga BGM.. friend thanks RR for the help (kozhandhaiya tholaichchadhaa?) Palli says they dont deserve this thanks... Balu's wife takes the paper and identifies Selvi. Keeps talking to the photo... Balu assures her that their daughter would return. Palli's mother takes Meenakshi inside. Palli goes to get coffee. Karthik leaves.

RR enquires Balu about his mother. Viswanathan removes his glasses to feel for his SIL... Balu says RR's vEdhanai is more than his (yaaruyyaa avara avasara avasaramaa 2nd kaNNaalam katta sonnadhu?) Bald upstairs... Karthik in thoughtful mood, rewinds about the SMS and Prem's saaljaappu. He is disturbed by RR, wants to know what is troubling Karthik. Thanks his idea for the solution to a big probs. Karthik says the solution need not be a happy one always. RR advices Karthik. who shows the next message...RR thoughtful...

Thursday update

Starts with Gopi breaking the piggy bank and counting...cant find more than Rs20, so he is concerned he cant feed himself well. Enter Mechanic Karthik, ignoring Gopi and looks for Selva. Makes small talk with her, and Selvarani offers him lunch. Gopi is upset he is not getting any food while "useless" Karthik gets food. Karthik refuses saying he has to deliver the customer car on time.

Karthik agrees, and Gopi decides to sabotage the car he is driving to get him into trouble with the customer. He manages to open the petrol tank, and drops a handful of soil inside, and goes in to watch the happenings. Karthik leaves but is unable to start the car. He wonders what has happened, and Gopi asks if he needs any help, saying Karthik is useless to even repair a car properly. Meanwhile the customer calls Karthik and asks for the car, and gets upset that the car is stalled....expresses disappointment that Karthik is not competent and demands the car back. Gopi looks victorious.

Palluvali at home...wants to do sumangali poojai at home (oh no, RR will run off again I guess), and wants the pooja to be conducted at home. Her mother is supportive, and Palluvali wants to do it on friday, and plan the guest list (please dont tell me she will invite Anu).

Her mother comes in, and asks who are getting invited, Pallavi reads the list out, and includes Anu (bingo!). Her mother is shocked, and asks her not to invite Anu because she lives in saligramam so it will take her a long time to get to Aryapuram....so she suggests getting someone who lives nearby. Palluvali wants to ask her to see if she is willing to travel the distance for the poojai. She calls Anu immediately and enquires whether Anu is free for pooja on friday...Anu would love to, but she declines the invite because she has to receive her sister from the US. She says she is meeting her sister after 25 years (which era do these people live in?).

Palluvali is understanding, and hangs up, saying her hubby has returned.

Pallavi says Anu declined because her sister is coming from US on friday. She insists RR should stay at home on friday morning for the poojai. (So now RR has to decide between the poojai and airport visit)...

RR sitting at his desk pondering where to go on friday- Sundu enters, and RR explains the issue to him...Sundu suggest going to airport first and then to the poojai, but RR says the programs are both at the same time. Sundu suggests to RR the only way to solve it is to create a robot like RR (it wont look like enthiran I am sure)...silly joke. Sundu asks RR to stay at Anu's place on friday and he will come over and figure out something....thodarum...

Pallu - Sumangali Poojai - RR is missing. Pallu kudupadichufies - any one who dares to
say as much as a Hi !!! RR is sitting at Anu's place - Airport visit is hanging in the air.
Sundu, the Abhad bhandavan is missing. Finally he comes and says that RR has to attend a meeting. The ever obliging Anu, puts her foot down " he won't come, you manage, we are going to receive akka"

Sundu dilly dallies - Anu in her hurry, hurts her big toe. "Bad sagunam, RR can not go
with out Anu" - happens. Finally Kamesh is sent as an One Man welcome committee .

RR - sheepish entry in to Pallu's house. Pallu is livid. Sundu plays pigeon of peace. The
pooja is over, all ladies have left....but the priest is still around. Mangala Harathi, Pallu
falling at RR's feet - wants to be blessed "Dheerga Sumangali Bhava " ( hmmm, ithu thaan thanakku thaane akshthai pOttukkarathu !!!!) RR is on his N th self -pity trip "Pallu respects the thaali tied by me....but....I am..." Sundu has had enough " OK, enough, I am leaving. You better extricate yourself from Pallu's clutches and report at Anu's place.... akka will be there..."

Tuesday - Rojavukku mattumaa sOdhanai...koojavukkum thaan.. me..

TUESDAY - 9th November 2010 - Episode - 141

Adhi on the bald upstairs in deep thought walking up and down... Adhi's friend Venkat brings Shruti, who has come to meet Adhi.. Venkat leaves for the room, is stopped by Adhi, asks Shruti for the reason of her visit very impatiently. Shruthi wants to know the reason for his behaviour. The reason for him asking her to leave soon was that if daddy dearest gets to know about her visit then she would be minced meat.. Shruti says she got the address from Shrinath, requests Adhi to get back hom. Shruti tries her hand in emotional blackmail, continues with saying oru projanamum illa (why cant people say prayojanam - is it such a difficult word!!) Tells Nivedha has thrown him out of her mind and only he is melting for her. Adhi justifies Nivedha's action and tells Shruti not to visit him with such complaints henceforth. Venkat consoles her and prophecises that one day Adhi would get back home. After Shruti leaves, Venkat too is dispensed..

Anu's akka and family arrive. They are amazed with the changes in Chennai. At home the kids are impatiently awaiting their periamma and family, Waste Santhosh says loosu mama would have missed them...Anu shuts them all up.. The children ask Anu to call mama, they hear the car arrive. First Loosu mama alights, then the periappa who is introduced to the threesome, Anu asks for her akka, who is a look alike of Anu... Manju says unbelievable on the resemblance.(aamaam pasangalukku akka family photo kaamichadhE illaya?) Akka and thangai do the paasamalar kattipudichings.. Anu says akka did not visit India after she left for the U.S. Akka gets introduced to the children... Manju complaints amma never had told about periamma.. (ippothaan kadhaasiryarukku thOnichchu...nee vEra..) All relax in the living room, Anu asks about Pooja, who has gone to Dinesh's (periappa) sister's house, would visit them later.

Akka wants coffee, Nivedha offers to make, is followed to the kitchen by Manju. Akka goes on and on about Anu's home maker skills (andha asingam ungalukku innum theriyaadhu..wait wait...) and life in U.S. Akka enquires about Anu's hurt...asks for RR, Anu says he has gone to the office (aamaam Pallu office) will be back anytime. Akka says how she was behind money and how she realised her folly...orE senti talk...Enter RR, looks jollingly at akka, children want to know if he got confused... says he can identify his wife, tells found out because of the sari and the bandaged toe..asks her to remain with the bandage all the time (kashtam!!) Santhosh is asked to get the room upstairs ready.. akka says they have bought their own house about a month ago.. and they would stay there.. the house is in R.A. Puram.. RR thikkufies.. Anu says her friend Palli also stays there, will introduce them to her and that she is very helpful... (very very helpful, un purushana avanga purushana treat seivaanga)akka is ok with the idea.. all leave for lunch.. RR looks like a SBT..

thursday.....

Ruku sitting at home, her hubby Ganesh enters, and she chides him for not taking enough interest in their daughter Pooja's Masters of Science education in Chennai..says there are good colleges etc but she isnt keen. Ganesh advises her that they should listen to what Pooja wants and dont force her to study, since she wants to work in IT field in Chennai (from US she came to work??)

Ganesh advises Ruku to give some space to Pooja, saying she is headstrong in what she wants and Pooja should not be forced into something she doesnt like. He cites the example of how Ruku wanted to make a lot of money hence went to US, and then how she wante to return to Chennai because she wants her family ties back...(she severed all ties in India to make money in US? doesnt make sense!)

Sundu enters, makes small talk, says Ruku looks like Anu. Ruku asks if he knows Pallavi's house, and he says yes, then regrets saying it. He volunteers to bring them there one day. Ruku says just give me the address no problem...just then Anu calls, invites them for lunch, but Ruku declines saying they are visiting the parents of their friend from US.

Ruku and family in the car. Ruku asks Ganesh to stop at a fruit stall to buy something for the family they are visiting. Pallavi and her parents are there (only 1 fruit shop in Chennai), and P approaches Ruku and starts talking. Ruku says she is Anu's sister, and P is so impressed they look alike. She calls her parents there and introduces them to Ruku (I thought Viswanathan knows Anu's family how come Ruku doesnt know him?)

P introduces herself as Pallavi, and gives the sumangali prasaadam to Ruku and says they should meet up together. P is super excited, and they take leave.

At home, Viswanathan in deep thought. Wife comes along, they discuss the dilemma because of Ruku's arrival. Viswanathan regets not telling Anu before about the Pallavi story. He worries what would have happened if Ruku recognised them. RR enters, and learns Viswanathan and wife met Ruku. They tell him P met Ruku, and ask when she is going back. RR says she is not going back, and that Ruku is very bold..if she sees RR visiting RA puram often, she will get suspicious. Viswanathan suggests moving the family to thoothukudi quickly to avoid these encounters...

Update for Friday, Nov 12,2010:

Ruku and hubby go to some house to hand over a package sent by their son, Vignesh (more new characters? more izhuvai? Eswaraa, when will this slow-as-molasses serial end?) The package seems very light, but V's dad says these are books not available in India (this is strange, every book here is available in India, and a whole lot cheaper too), then he talks of V not saying anything about getting married. Ruku says she will arrange the whole thing and talk to V (another new izhuvai in the offing!).

RR and Pallu - RR wants her to go and see a girl who has been recommended by Sundu, Pallu says she feels like Karthi's marriage should be postponed for a year, since nothing is working out properly, but RR convinces her to go with him. Yes, please go, then your kuttu will be out because Shree's parents know that you are married to Anu!

Anu's house - Manju scolds her mother for leaving the door open - kaalam kettu kidakku, someone will come in and loot the whole house (exactly what I have been saying for the last two years!). Ruku and daughter Pooja enter, Manju and Pooja become good friends immediately. How is it that Pooja has a normal accent unlike her mother? Manju wants to take Pooja to paati's house, Ruku wants to know why Paati stays separately, scolds Anu for not bringing her MIL to stay with them, says she will do the needful after Anu explains that Paati is angry with RR, not anyone else, and that is why she stays alone. Great advice about family unity from someone who didn't even keep up with her only sister all these years and didn't even attend her wedding!

Paati's house - Manju tells Paati to ask Anu to come in, Paati sees Ruku and thinks she is Anu and asks why she needs to be invited, calls her in anyway, Manju tells her this is Ruku, not Anu. Ruku comes in, makes some small talk, then comes to the point - why is Paati staying alone? Manju is sent to the kitchen to make coffee, then Paati says it has nothing to do with Anu, it is her fate, Ruku says not to blame fate, and asks what happened, and says she will make it okay ((can you make Pallu and family vanish?). Paati says it is too late, and calls Manju to bring the coffee.

Habba, no false accent akka today - Roja joot...

Aadhi's dad is playing shuttle (open air??) with a business friend .
Matter enna nna, that guy has a son who is a Computer nerd and
working in Bangalore - Shruthi kku alliance fixed ( Yovvv, nee muthalle
Shruthi nnu ozhunga perai sollu yya, SURUTHI - kekka naraasamaa
irukku Roja kku ) Shree's parents - in discussion. Amma is all set for
a Idiyudan koodiya mazhaiyO, idi illatha mazhaiyO and appa consoling -
"there is no chance of Shree's biological parents knocking at our door,
save the tears for the future.." Well, RR and Pallu land on cue. Avanga
vantha vishayame vera, inge Shree appa kku thoppaile Gili 😉. Tells
wifey " Villangam at our doors , Gaya....ad kudutha thu intha amma thaan,
enakku RR ai theriyum..... intha amma must know (athu sari ) him....He must
have brought her here for Shree.."

Oblivious to all this Gili, RR and Pallu keep ringing the door bell ( Eljayyyyy,
they really closed the door !!!😉😉😉) Bald upstairs le semai discussion.
Finally, it is decided that Gaya will handle the situation and shoe shoe RR
and Pallu. The door does not get opened for a looooonnnnggg time - Pallu
is ready to leave " Intha veet le sambhandaham?? Thevaiya namakku?"
Gayu opens the doorand RR says that they have come to discuss.." your
daughter" Gayu does not let them come in...." hubby is not at home,
I am also leaving..shoo shoo, Odi pOidunga" Front door damaallll... Pallu
shows total distaste in her face, drags RR back to the car. As they go out, the Shree
siblings enter....female Shree is skeptical " rendu wife kaaranukku inge enna
velai??" - look. The parents are asked about the royal visit - dad calls it as some
business discussion.

SURUTHI 's household (habbbaaaa, fortunately, the mother calls her Shruthi ) Daddy
happily announces " kalyaanam fixed, computer nerd....." Shruthi does not reciprocate
that enthusiasm..( enna mma, oru BF tucked away somewhere??? Unga appa saamy
Aadiduvaaru, kabardhar..)
