Yo man, I'm from North East and have worked with some small bands, it's a shame our composers lift tunes from Pak & Bangladesh, do you know title song of Murder is actually baby of a rock band from Dhaka, now they are struggling for livelihood while this man Anu Malik who has lots of money doesn't even mention that this song was a lift. 😡
hey guys don't support such musicians,.........they take bread away from our mouth.

Iron Maiden

BTW which band you worked for, I knew most of the major North East bands, send me a PM.
Regards

Himesh Reshammiya's hit soundtrack Aashiq Banaya Aapne has two lifts in it also:

Dillagi, which is taken straight from Pakistani pop singer Ali Zafar's "Rangeen," from his 2003 album "Huqa Pani." Marjaawan is a blatant lift from Fakhir's "Marjaawan" from his 2002 album "Aatish."
  1. Oh yeah, Gela Gela (Aitraaz) was copied note for note from R. Kelly's Thoia Thoing from his 2003 album "Chocolate Factory."

HR is popular for lifting songs?????i heard of him copying but not this much....and ppl r thinking tht he is the best singer, music director....!!!!!

i just hope that vinit doesn't get affected by this.

the above info obtained from the above link....the second one has more info.

thanx for sharing all the info, so a copy cat replaces another today, no wonder Hindi music is in drains..............
Gone ae the days when songs made were ever lasting, its like 2 minute noodles today, one peppy song with techno beat replaces another

Anu Malik may be a copy cat, but is a high class CC. His music is very melodious and upbeat. I particulalry like some of his compositions like Chura Ke dil mera goriya chali, Choda Ke daman to jaa rahe ho and Sambhala hai maine bahut apne dil ko. These compositions have a lot of lustre and Kumar Sanu was in his supreme best in all these songs.

There must be class in CC's also and amongst the CC's I rate Anu Malik the best.

well done
I'm glad some one wrote this.
Those who are astutes like you and have been listening Hindi music from quite some time, would know AM was very good in 80s & I personaly rate him much higher than HR, many of AM's songs are actually raaga based & are very melodious, after all he is son of Sardar Malik!

I think I remember a post here drawing a comparison b/w HR and Pancham da...
whoever posted that pls read this thread...
I am sure you will not remember Aashiq banaya by the dec of 2006 ( And I am being a lil generous about the time frame here) coz HR will have produced anohter peppy copy of some pakistani/ arabic song by then

No one has forgotten Mehbooba Mehbooba & Monica O my darling, in fact, latter is one of the most remixed song acording to Magnasound.
Quite recently the show in RDX-SRGMP opened with new version of Mehbooba Mehbooba(a song composed 30 years ago), so its certainly not forgotten.
Good songs are immortal, they withstand test of time, Can anyone prescribe a current song at this point which would be suitable to open SRGMP 2030?
