After a long time, had a chance to watch - so here's the update!
Payal gives Ronak's wife the keys to the house and tells her she should take on her duties as the bahu of the house.
Anjali went to Thouji and said to him that Rani is trying to take away her husband.
Thouji goes there thinking that Rani has been carrying on like a keep.
He yells at Rani and says that she is doing Adharam.
Rishabh comes with his Uncle and Aunt and they give testamony that Rani has not done anything wrong, but is living in the house taking care of everyone in a very pious way and has not approached Rishabh in any wrong way.
Thouji says that for the three months that Anjali is in the house, Rani must do a tapasya (might as well be another agnipariksha), and cannot talk or even look in Rishabh's direction.
Anjali is happy but eggs Thouji on more.
Thouji says that for the three months, Rani cannot wear her mangalsutra, or her sindoor. Rani is crushed by this but agrees. Anjali is happy about this (don't know why as she never wore sindoor or mangalsutra for Rishabh).
Rishabh agrees that he will not talk to look in Rani's direction.
Anjali asks Thouji what happens if they don't pass the test, and Thouji says that regardless of what happens in court, if Rani doesn't pass the test, then she can never be with Rishabh.
Anjali goes to Rani's room and taunts her that she is not wearing sindoor or mangalsutra. Rani is sad but keeps her resolve.
At the chawl, Deven has kept a Ganesh Pooja but Rajni doesn't stand with the family to do the puja (Deven was upset that Rajni didn't want to leave Thouji alone while he is ill).
Thouji and Rajni come and take Ganeshji's blessings and ask for everything to be right in the families.
Rishabh goes to check on his aunt who likes Rani and finds Rani there taking care of her while she is in bed. Rishabh leaves, and Rani is sad. The aunt consoles Rani.
Deven's sister in law instigates the mother in law further and puts in her mind that Rajni cannot make Deven happy and therefore, Deven should get remarried.
Rishabh goes to spend time with Dadi and Dadi is happy to see him.
Preview: Anjali is plotting to get Rani to break her tapasya so that no matter what, Rani can never be with Rishabh.
