FV narrates that like an unread book, one cannot anticipate what life might turn out. Sometimes, whatever is unexpected comes to the surface. After Yuvraj's marriage, the life of the Jagirdars became like such a book. Every plan of theirs seems to backfire 👏 For instance, they think Neeraj is back on the reservation, but his attitude towards Yuvraj again throws doubts on that belief.
Yuvraj enters the room and asks his mom why she called him. She tells him that after what he told them about Neeraj, they got to thinking, and they want that their plan should be quickly executed. Everytime, there is a fiasco, and before things move out of control, they have to advance their plan forward. If Neeraj is misbehaving w/ him, what guarantee is there that he'll be of use to them? Therefore, she proposes that they use someone else instead of Neeraj? She asks Sarla to back her up. Sarla asks whether this is absolutely necessary, and whether some other way might be considered?
Yuvraj rejects the idea. He insists that this plan alone be followed, and that too w/ Neeraj only. He says that if someone else is used, that guy would have to be told everything just like Neeraj was, including Yuvraj's secrets. Yuvraj wants them to talk to Neeraj to get him to stop misbehaving, and that if they can't get Neeraj into this plan, then he be dealt w/ just like everyone else before him who knew the secret - either bought off, or eliminated. The others, including DK, are stunned to hear this. Yuvi says that everybody who knows this secret is either on their side, or else dead. If that was what they wanted to discuss w/ him, there is better that they discuss it w/ Neeraj (Yuvi now looks the worst of the lot - including DK & Pankaj) He storms out of the room, and DK is exasperated.
In the police station, the cops are beating up the theif who stole Shradhya's mangal sutra yesterday. He tells them that he stole it b'cos his sister is getting married, and begs them to release him - if he's not there, the wedding will be stopped, and that'll be disastrous. The police silence him, and tell him that if the woman revokes her complaint, he'd be released.
Shradhya arrives @ that moment, and confirms to the police that it was him. The police confirm that the mangal sutra was hers, and return it to her, and then ask her to sign the register. The thief begs her to listen, and gives her his story about his sister's marriage, inviting her to go to Panhala & verify it herself - his name is Raghu, sister is Rekha, and the police asks Shradhya to ignore it, saying that they all say that, and that if she withdraws her complaint, he'll assault someone else. Shradhya agrees w/ him, and leaves, saying that if not her, someone else, and it's women who have to suffer all this (Glad that Shradhya didn't choose to be mahaan here. But wish she had grabbed this opportunity to file a complaint against Rohit & Abha.)
Jayesh enters Savita's ward, and asks about her. She is disappointed that he came empty handed - she wanted to eat the same food he cooked for their kids w/ his own hands. Jayesh digs himself in some by telling her that he had packed her tiffin, but then thought that in this condition, she should eat hospital food. As it is, his food may either be too spicy, or too little salt. Savita tells him that no matter how badly he cooks, there won't be anything tastier. Jayesh promises her that as soon as she is discharged, he'll cook for her. Savi says no, she wants it right now 😲🤢 (She really knows how to cook Jayesh, in addition to everything else she can cook 😆) She asks him to cook today and bring it to her tonight. Jayesh wonders where he will get it from - anything he cooks, forget eating, nobody will even smell it. (But didn't your kids eat it all these days, other than yesterday? At least, since she tells you that anything is good, just make something, don't burn it, and then take it. But don't take outside food - Savita is like the Phadkes in this dept. Maybe Savita & Sakshi should have had each other's hubbies 😆)
Sandhya has both phones in front of her, rings her cellphone from the cordless and then hits the talk after it rings. Yuvi comes in, annoyed, and angrily says that everybody has started questioning whether doing all this is necessary. Sandhya asks him what's wrong, and Yuvraj is startled and says that nothing is. Sandhya repeats some of what Yuvraj was saying, and he says he was talking on the phone re: office.
Yuvraj then notices the phone unhooked, & asks Sandhya whether she has someone on hold? Sandhya denies it, and Yuvraj says that it looks like someone forgot to put it back. Sandhya is thankful that he's not suspicious.
Shradhya is walking, and notices a rental car. She asks the driver if it'll go to Panhala, and gets in. She asks a local the home of Rekha, sister of Raghu. She sees a bunch of women, and one of them having haldi on her face. She confirms that she is Rekha, and one man comes to Shradhya and introduces himself as the father. He tells her that Raghu must have invited her, but while he did, he has himself not returned, and w/o him, no marriage can happen, since he was supposed to come w/ the money. He is their only support. Shradhya denies that Raghu sent her, and that she had just come to see how many people live here. (I'm not getting the point of this twist to the story - Shradhya has gotten her mangal sutra back, now go home!!!)
DK comes in and asks Pankaj why he called so late @ night? Prabha tells him that she called, b'cos she had something important to tell them. DK asks where is Dada-sahib. Prabha tells him that he might have noticed that Dada sahib nowadays has a lot of other priorities than Yuvraj (that's a good thing)
Prabha tells them that when Dada-sahib, who's Yuvi's dad, want out of all this, then they 2 are his uncles, so why are they disrupting their own happiness & well being? She asks DK how he's going to enjoy his marriage after the way he's been treating Suni? (Good question. You could help by asking him to rehabilitate his in-laws, who are your relations as well) Pankaj demands to know whether it was Sarla who led her to this, but she dismisses that and tells her Sarla is innocent of this.
DK reminds her that he lost his mom very early, and that from the time he was 5, he regarded Prabha as his de-facto mom (sorta like the 4 sisters & Savita) and Puru as his dad. (If that's the case, how about stopping to think of why Puru doesn't approve of what they're doing?) So how could she think that if Dada-sahib decided to remove himself from all this, that they 2 would? Prabha is moved by his statement. He demands to know why after so many years, she's reminding them that they're not hers? Prabha tries to explain to him that he's misunderstanding her, but DK demands to know why she reminded them that they are Puru's step-bros (oh, this is new!!!) He tells Pankaj that she's right - how is Yuvraj related to them, and why should they participate in her struggle?
Prabha tells him not to say that, and that he's as dear to her as Yuvraj is. Pankaj comes up to her and tells her that their fate is tied up w/ Yuvraj, and that his interests are #1 for them, and everything else comes later. He emphatically tells her that Yuvraj isn't just her son, but the son of this whole family, and for his happiness, anything will be done. If Dada-sahib wants to withdraw from all this, let him, but don't ever bring this up a 2nd time. He then takes DK & leaves.
FV says that these are the rules of war - sometimes during war, it's important to verify who is on your side and who isn't, so that in middle of a battle, one is not left isolated.
Yuvraj asks Sandhya what is wrong - isn't she feeling well? Sandhya says she's fine, but she wanted to rest a bit. Yuvi is relieved, since he's nervous when Sandhya is going around the house snooping.
First Shradhya. As it is, she leads a miserable existance, so what was the point of going to Panhala in the first place barefoot? Just go home, tell them you're leaving, talk to Tai or Sakshi-di and return. Hate sounding like a broken record, but Shradhya really needs to leave. W or w/o MIL.
If this plot is to succeed, DK & Pankaj are the one's w/ brains, but Yuvraj is sinking it w/ his obduracy. He won't listen to Suni or Sarla chachi on why things have to be done this way, he won't listen to DK on why it has to be done by Neeraj only. There are loads of guys who would only be too happy to be gigolos - just find someone off the streets, pay him, don't even tell him Yuvraj's raaz, but just tell him to 🤬 Sandhya so that she gets pregnant. And continue to work on confounding her. But by insisting that Neeraj be a part of this, Yuvraj is just ensuring that this will fail, b'cos Neeraj is not going to do it.
Savita - do you have to torture your hubby like that? Really, she & Sakshi should swap, and let the kids pick the parents. That way, Adi can invite his boss for dinner while Savita cooks, while Sakshi can do anything - from rejoining Adi's company as a programmer to running her daycare, and Jayesh won't mind. And Swati & Apu can eat outside food, and Sakshi won't mind - in fact, she'll pick the right stuff for them.
The final scene, where Prabha invites DK & Pankaj to quit - would have been more touching had they also considered family members they had alienated. Forget Neeraj, but each of them have dissenting spouses. Puru & Sarla don't like this at all - alienating Neeraj and playing tricks on the bahu, while Suni is just galled @ the way Sandhya is being used. Pankaj was talking about sticking together, but they've lost half the family in this. And Prabha, if she really is concerned about DK's relationship w/ Sunita, she should stop ordering him to torture his in-laws, rehabilitate them and apologize. Then resume the screw Sandhya program as long as she doesn't figure out, which she is close to doing.
