ARR doesn't come close to Puncham Da...(RD and SD Burman), they were very humble. ARR is over hyped because he was educated in western music, he is marketable in west. He has some good songs but also many duds.

Good to know that pancham Da were humble people, along with giving us GREAT music. But that has nothing to do with ARR's education 😕, and even more the so called hype thingamaggiger
So far ARR has been a man of few words, and a very genuine , humble human being. He has given us great music, and will continue to do so
so my conclusion ARR and Panchamda are humble folks😉
whoever said Empty Vessels you nailed it😃

You cannot compare across generations like that. I am a huge RD fan and an equally big Rahman fan. That way, none of current day singers come close to Mohd. Rafi, Kishore Da or Lata ji. Burman never gave a flop? There is an endless feud between Rafi and Kiashore fans. Does not mean anyone is less. Both are good in their own way.

For you he maybe overhyped, for others he is a genius who knows much more about music than some people like me.

Regarding humility, I have never seen Rehman praising his own work, and even if he did I don;t see any wrong in that. BBC even had an article on that
Global tunesmith. Whereas Bollywood is filled with people who only steal and mix music and speak as if they are gods of music.
