Hey guys,
So this is the one OS I have been thinking about for long and the one for which I invited suggestions.... Thank you so much for all your suggestions... 🤗 Hope you have a great time reading it...
Part 1
Scene 1:
Riddhima is walking through the corridor of Sanjeevani when her phone rings. Its her mom. She picks up the phone and says "Hello maa. Kaise ho aap?" Padma says "Riddhima, main theek hoon, lekin apni beti ko bahut miss kar rahi hoon. Kya baath hai Riddhima, kithne dino se tum ghar hi nahi aayi... Bhool gayi kya apni maa ko??" Riddhima says "Arey nahi maa. Woh kaam kuch zyada hi hai." Padma says "Ithna kaam ki apni maa ko milne bhi nahi aa sakthi?" Riddhima says "Aisi baath nahi hai maa. Achcha, abhi meri duty thodi der mein khatham hone waali hai phir main aake aapko ghar pe milthi hoon. Theek hai?" Padma says "Okay beta. Apna khayal rakhna. Aur Sid ka bhi" Riddhima says "Ok maa". She cuts the call and thinks "Sid ko batha dethi hoon ki main maa ke paas jaa rahi hoon." She goes to find Sid.
Scene 2:
Riddhima finds Sid in the babies ward examining a baby. She stops to watch him. He picks up the baby with so much care (with obvious help from a nurse coz its unlikely our Sid would know how to handle a baby 😉) and cuddles her close and makes cute noises and faces at the baby and the baby chuckles. Sid smiles at the baby and Riddhima smiles too. Sid feels her presence and looks up to find her staring at him with a smile on her face. Then she remembers she'd come to tell Sid that she was going over to her parents' place and shakes her self out of staring at Sid. She walks over to Sid and Sid says "Dekho naa Riddhima, kithni pyaari hai" Riddhima looks at the cute baby who is smiling up at Sid. Its a picture perfect moment with Sid, Ridz and the baby. Sid carefully puts the baby back in the crib and asks Riddhima "Kya baath hai Riddhima? Kuch kaam tha?" Riddhima is still caught in the moment of watching Sid with the baby. Sid gently touches her shoulder and calls her name "Riddhima?" Riddhima shakes herself out of her reverie and thinks "yeh mujhe aaj kal ho kya raha hai... Patha nahi kahan kho jaathi hoon" Then she realizes Sid had asked her something. She asks Sid "haan tho kya puch rahe the tum?" Sid says "Kya hua Riddhima? Tum theek tho ho na? Main yeh puch raha tha ki koi kaam tha kya?" Riddhima says "Arey nahi, woh main bathane aayi thi ki maa ka phone aaya tha, woh chahthi thi ki main unse milne jaoon. Waise bhi meri duty khatham ho gayi hai, maa se mile hue bhi bahut din ho gaye tho main soch rahi thi ghar ho aoon." Sid says "Theek hai, meri duty tho aaj der thak hai. Ek kaam kartha hoon, duty khatham hone ke baad main aake tumhe pick kar loonga. Theek hai?" Riddhima says "Ok." Riddhima is walking towards the door when Sid calls her "Riddhima..." Riddhima stops and turns towards him. Sid says "Woh... main... Maa ko mera Hi kehna" Riddhima nods and turns away... Sid calls her again and Riddhima stops n turns to look at him again... Sid says "Woh... actually... I'll miss you..." Riddhima blushes and walks out of the door.
Scene 3: At the Gupta's place
Riddhima rings the doorbell. Her mom opens the door and they hug each other. As they walk in, her mom asks "Tum hospital se aa rahi ho na? Thak gayi hogi... Main tumhare liye coffee bana dethi hoon phir bathke bathein karengi" Riddhima says "Main bhi chalthi hoon aapke saath." Both of them are in the kitchen. Padma is making coffee and Riddhima is sitting on the countertop. Padma says "Tho aaj kal meri beti kuch zyada hi busy hai" Riddhima says "Haan maa woh ghar, kaam aur upar se Sid ko bhi tho sambhalna hai" Her mother gives her a knowing smile and Riddhima blushes. She quickly says "Woh actually Sid aaj kal disciplinarian hai na tho uska bhi kaam badh gaya hai aur.. Sid ghar ithna bikhra bikhra rakhtha hai ki ghar saaf rakhna bahut mushkil hai... Shoes hamesha sofa ke neeche rakhtha hai.. Kithni baar keh chuki hoon Sid se ki shoes ko shoe rack pe rakho lekin nahi... Uff.. " Padma is watching Riddhima ramble on and on abt Sid... She says "Kya baath hai, aaj kal tumhari har baath Sid se shuru hokar Sid pe khatham hothi hai." Riddhima realizes that she has been speaking about Sid non stop and immediately feels embarrassed and looks away.
Padma says "Achcha laga bete... yeh jaanke ki tum Sid se ithna pyaar karthi ho" Riddhima looks at her mom in surprise "nahi maa, aisi koi baath nahi hai..." Padma says "Riddhima, maa hoon main tumhari, tumhare dil ki baath tumhare bin bole jaan jaathi hoon.... Aur Sid ke liye pyaar tho tumhari aankhon se saaf jhalaktha hai..... " Riddhima looks away, smiling. Padma says "Achcha chalo, coffee ban gayi... Living room mein aaram se baithke peethe hain..."
They both go into the living room and sit on the sofa. Riddhima notices an album lying there and asks her mom "yeh kya hai maa??" Padma replies "Arey yeh tumhare shaadi ka album hai... Bahut pehle mil gaya tha lekin bathana hi bhool gayi" Riddhima takes the album and starts to flip through it... Then she says "Maa kya main yeh album ghar le jaoon???" Padma says "Haan beta, Sid ko bhi dikha dena. Usne bhi tho nahi dekha hoga ab thak." Riddhima gently moves her hands over a picture of Sid. Padma watches her and smiles. Padma asks Riddhima "Riddhima, tum khush tho ho na???" Riddhima looks up from Sid's photo at her mother, her eyes filled with love for Sid and her heart bursting with love for him and says "Haan ma. Main bahut khush hoon."
Just then, the door bell rings and Padma says "main dekhthi hoon." Padma opens the door to find Sid standing there with a wide grin on his face. He touches her feet and Padma says "Arey Sid bete, aao aao" They walk into the living room where Riddhima is still staring at Sid's photo. Padma says "Arey Riddhima, dekho tho kaun aaya hai... Jiske baare mein tum ithni der se baatein kar rahi thi" Sid looks at Padma surprised and then he looks at Riddhima who is blushing and a smile spreads across his face. he is happy to know that Riddhima had been thinking about him. Riddhima asks him "Sid... tum..... ithni jaldi.... Tumhari duty tho aaj der thak thi na..." Sid stammers "Haan..... woh darasal... (he is thinking of an excuse, then he looks at Padma and his face lights up..) mom!... woh main bhi mom se milna chahtha tha..." (Its obvious he was lying). Padma laughs at his lie and says "Achcha?? tum araam se baitho aur main tumhare liye coffee laathi hoon" and she walks away. Sid goes and sits next to Riddhima... There is an awkward silence and then Riddhima asks "Tumhari duty khatham ho gayi??" Sid says "Haan, woh, maine woh kaam jaldi khatham kar diya" Riddhima asks "Kyun?" Sid looks at her (*eyelock*) and then he says "Woh main tumhe miss kar raha tha" (*Intense eyelock*) Riddhima smiles and looks away. Sid looks away too.
Padma brings coffee for Sid and asks him "Tho Sid bete, aapka disciplinarian ka kaam kaise chal raha hai??" Sid replies "Theek chal raha hai mom... Pehle thoda mushkil tha lekin abhi theek hai" Padma asks "Riddhima tumhe zyaada pareshaan tho nahi karthi na?" Riddhima looks at her mom in anger "Maa, yeh aap kya keh rahe ho?" Sid smiles at his indignant Riddhima and says "Haan mom... Yeh mujhe bahut pareshaan karthi hai" Riddhima now looks at Sid angrily and both Sid and Padma burst out laughing. They sit there and talk for sometime. then Sid says "Achcha mom ab hume chalna chahiye... Aap apna khayal rakhna... dad aa jayein tho unhe batha dijiyega ki hum aaye the..." Padma says "Haan, woh unki koi surgery hai aaj tho der se hi aayenge... Tum dono apna khayal rakhna aur aathe rehna." Sid and Riddhima leave and get into the car. Riddhima is acting mad at Sid and not talking to him. Sid asks "Kya hua?" Riddhima says "Tumne maa se kyun kaha ki main tumhe pareshaan karthi hoon?? Maine tumhe kab pareshaan kiya??" Sid says "Acha tho tum mujhe pareshaan nahi karthi? Mujhe mere room se bahar kar diya, mera PS thoda diya, mera cricket bat thod diya... " Riddhima says "Tho tumne bhi mujhe kahan kam pareshaan kiya hai, yaad hai woh hamara first date, mujh pe champagne giraya, aag laga di, mujh pe paani giraya aur mera dupatta bhi phaad diya" Sid says "Tho woh sab maine jaan bhoojke thode na kiya tha?? Lekin tumne jo mere saath kiya woh jaan bhoojke kiya" Riddhima says "Haan jaan bhooke kiya... tho???" Sid asks her "Tho??? " Riddhima repeats "Tho?" Then suddenly they both realize they are fighting like old times and burst out laughing.
After a couple of minutes, Sid says "Waise aur bhi cheezein hain jisse tumne mujhe pareshaan kiya hai..." Riddhima asks "Aur kya???" Sid says "Tumne abhi thak mujhe apne dil ki baath nahi bathayi.." Riddhima blushes and looks away acting ignorant "Kaun si baath?" Sid stops the car on the side of the road and says "Tumne ab thak yeh nahi kaha ki tum mujhse pyaar karthi ho.." Riddhima turns red blushing and does not look at Sid... Sid moves closer to her, places his hand under her chin and turns her to face him... "maine tho tumhe ithni baar kiss kiya hai, lekin tumne ek baar bhi mujhe kiss nahi kiya... " Riddhima is too shy to look at him... His proximity is making her heart beat faster and her breathing labored... She quickly opens the door of the car and gets out... Sid smiles and gets out of the car too... He is standing on the drivers' side with his hands on top of the car and is watching as Riddhima tries to calm herself. "Tumhara sharmana mujhe bahut pasand hai Riddhima lekin mujhe meri chudail Riddhima zyaada pasand hai..." Riddhima turns around to look at him and says "Kya kaha tumne??? Tumne mujhe chudail kaha??? You... you... Tum na Stupid Siddhant Mean Modi ho.. Tumne mujhe chudail kaha??? " She flares up and goes towards Sid all angry and ready to fight "main tumhe nahi chodoongi" Sid smiles and says "Patha hai, I'm all yours... Kaho tho aur paas aa jaaon" and goes to hug her... Riddhima says "Don't cross your limits" Sid starts laughing and suddenly Riddhima realizes that they were behaving the way they did when they first met at Sanjeevani. She too laughs and says "Kithna ladthe the na hum dono..." Sid smiles and nods his head. Riddhima comes and stands next to Sid and continues "Ithni nafrath karthi thi main tumse... Tumhari shakal se hi mujhe chid thi" Sid says "Mujhe bhi... Mujhe hamesha lagtha tha ki kahan mera sexy face or kahan tumhara icky face. Aur aaj ussi icky face se main apni jaan se zyaada pyaar kartha hoon" Riddhima smiles but tries to avoid and says "Yaad hai tumne mujhe kachra kaha tha!!!" Sid says "Haan, sahi hi tho kehtha tha... Kithni nakchadi thi tum... Ithna attitude.. Our uss din basketball court mein tho tumne mere muh kala kar diya!!!" Riddhima says "Haan, kyunki bet tho wohi tha na..." Sid replies "Lekin uss din bet tho main jeetha tha na aur abhi bhi mujhe mera prize nahi mila" Riddhima looks at him all flustered and says "Tumhara prize?" Siddhant says "Bet tumhe yaad nahi??? Agar tum jeethi tho tum mera muh kaala karogi aur agar main jeetha tho...." Riddhima's heart begins to race as Sid comes closer... Sid comes real close to her keeping his hands on either side of her so that she can't run away... his head comes closer till their noses touch.... Riddhima closes her eyes... Sid continues "Agar main jeetha tho...." He moves still closer and says in his super husky voice "main tumhe kiss karonga..." saying that he places a light kiss on Riddhima's lips... Riddhima's breath gets caught in her chest and she stands there still... Sid draws away.... He says "Riddhima, this is not the way I want to kiss you... I want to kiss you with all my love.... jab sirf hum dono ho, tum meri bahon mein ho aur hum road ke beech khade na ho..." Riddhima opens her eyes in bewilderment. She had completely forgotten that they were parked on the side of a road.... She gets all embarrassed and gets into the car in hurry. Sid gets in too and they drive home....

PART II
Scene I : Sid and Riddhima are in the car driving home. Sid has a smile on his face and Riddhima is lost in thoughts.
Riddhima (thinking to herself) : Yeh mujhe ho kya gaya hai? Kyun Sid ke nazdeek aane se meri dhadkane thez ho jaathi hain? Kyun Sid ki baathon ka aisa asar hotha hai mujhpe? Yeh kaisa ehsaas hai? Kya main Sid se pyar karthi hoon? Waise jaise ek pathni apne pathi se....
She steals a glance at Sid... Sid looks at her just then and smiles. She blushes and looks away. Riddhima closes her eyes and looks inside her heart... The moment she closes her eyes, she has flashbacks of all her moments with Sid, from their first meeting, their fights, the way Sid had saved her life countless times, their marriage, Sid's anger, their honeymoon, the first time she had felt something for Sid, that first twinge of jealousy, the way Sid had told her that he had started to feel for her, Armaan's return, trying to convince Sid she wanted to be with him, starting afresh, Sid's confession, their close moments together at home and in the hospital, how she had almost given herself up to him on her birthday and how he'd understood her feelings without her saying anything... Every single time he had touched her and how she had felt lost by his touch... All those moments flashed in front of her eyes... They had come such a long way together... ladthe jhagadthe, hanste rothe aur ab pyaar karthe... Riddhima opened her eyes suddenly, in that instant she knew, that the person sitting beside her, her husband, chosen for her by destiny, was the man she loved with every breath... She couldn't imagine a single day, much less a life without him... She knew she was a woman in love... and it was with this man that she wanted to grow old with, fighting with him and loving him... Riddhima smiled.. "weren't these the same words Sid had said when he had confessed to me?" Riddhima was at peace now... She started to plan how she would put her feelings into words and actions once they get home.. She wasn't going to tell Sid straight off but wanted to give him subtle hints to make him understand her feelings.. She did not get much time to plan as they pulled into the parking lot of their home...
Just as Sid and Riddhima step out of the care a female voice calls out to Sid "Hey Sid!" Both of them turn and a girl walks out of the shadows. She is slim, tall and dressed very modern and stylish. Sid's expression changes to one of surprise and he says "Neha!!! tum??????!!!!" Neha says "You are absolutely right dude" and hugs Sid tight. Sid hugs her back too and says "Dude, I can't tell you how much I missed you" Neha replies "Yeah right, thab hi tho tum Mumbai aake gayab hi ho gaye... No calls, no mails and you say you missed me.. " Sid replies "Arey nahi yaar, its not like that... I was kind of caught up here... Anyways, tum bathao, tum yahan kaise?" Neha replies "Oh I'm in town for a 3 day conference tho maine socha tumse mil loon aur tumhe warn bhi kar doon.." Sid gets confused "Warn? about what?" Neha replies "Your dad and mom are coming next week.." Sid is horrified and says "Kya???!!! Dad aur mom??!!! Lekin Dad ko... kya Mom ne...?" Neha says "Unhe sab patha hai..." Sid is even more horrified now "Kaise?!! Aur tumhe kaise patha hai??" "Long story dude aur waise bhi saari baatein yehi karke mujhe vapas bhejne ka irada hai kya??" Neha asks. Sid shakes his head and says "Arey nahi nahi..." then he remembers about Riddhima. Riddhima had been standing on the other side of the car all this while watching their conversation. She is trying hard not to feel jealous that all this while Neha had been touching Sid... HER Sid... Sid turns to Riddhima and says "Neha, yeh Riddhima hai... Riddhima meri..." Neha cuts him and says "Wife hai na?" Neha walks over to Riddhima, looks over her and says "Tho Sid aakhir tumhe apni desi Rajma chawal type mil hi gayi" and winks at Sid... Sid smiles... Neha hugs Riddhima and says "Hey Ridzi, I'm Neha.. Sid ki bestestest friend... bachpan se" Riddhima forces a smile. Sid says "Chalo andhar chalke baath karthe hain.." Neha says "Yeah sure" They walk into the house and Riddhima is getting irritated coz none of her plans are going to work as long as Neha is here. Once they are in Sid says "neha, tum jaake fresh ho jao, guest bedroom uss taraf hai. Phir aaram se baithke coffee peeke baath karenge.." Neha says "sure" and goes to the room. Sid and Riddhima too go to change and freshen up.
Scene II :
A couple of minutes later... Riddhima brings coffee for Sid, Neha and herself and they sit down on the sofa to talk. Neha is sitting next to Sid and Riddhima has to sit on the other sofa.
Riddhima asks Neha : Tum dono ek doosre ko bachpan se jaanthe ho?
Neha: Hmmmm... We are neighbours and both our families have been in Houston together for a really long time. So we pretty much grew up together. Hum dono best buddies the... Saath mein school gaye, ek hi class, right up till college.. Humne socha tha ki both of us will go to arts college, (Riddhima is surprised coz she never knew Sid wanted to major in Arts and then she realizes there were a lot of things she did not know about Sid *sigh* but what irked her was that Neha seemed to know everything about Sid, HER Sid 😡) phir aunty ko Abhi bhaiyya ka bhooth savar ho gaya aur isse bhej diya Med school... Phir Uncle ko laga ki Sid ko responsibility sikhane Abhi bhaiyya ke paas bhejna chahiye and he sent him here... Aur isse bhi tho apni Desi rajma chawal types ladki chahiye thi and then Ridzi, you stole Sid from me..."
Riddhima looks at Neha in surprise and thinks "What does she mean by that?"
Sid: Kya bakwaas kar rahi ho Neha? Aur tumne tho bathaya hi nahi ki tumhe yeh sab patha kaise chala? Kahin uss Sue ki bachchi ne tho sab ko nahi bathaya na?
Neha : Arey nahi dude, tu tho jaantha hai na Sue ko? Usne kabhi teri koi secret kisi ko bathayi hai? Sirf main aur Sue hi tho they jise tu apni har baath bathatha tha... Yeh tho aunty ne bathaya...
Sid: Mom ne??? Lekin maine tho unse kaha tha ki pls dad ko abhi math bathana... Main baad mein unhe sab batha doonga...
Neha: Haan lekin beech mein mere dad aa gaye na?
Sid looks at her confused.
Neha: What happened was that mere dad aur tumhare dad ithne achche dosth hain na tho mere dad ne socha ki hum dono ki shaadi kara den tho unhone humari shaadi ki baath chalayi tumhare parents se. Your dad was pretty happy saying thats what he'd always wanted lekin tumhari mom ne baath taal di.."
Sid : "Kya???!! Hum dono ki shaadi???!!" he looks as if he can't believe it.
Neha : "Oye aise react kyun kar raha hai? Whats wrong with me?? Zara soch... it would have been perfect na... two very close friends... woh kya kehthe hain... dosthi ko rishthedaari mein badalna... Aur phir tum apni doctori karthe aur main tumhare Dad ki ithne bade business empire ko sambhalthi... Wow I would be married into the richest family in Houston"
Riddhima is almost grinding her teeth listening to all this. She decides that she does not liek Neha even though she is Sid's best friend.
Sid tells Neha : "Paagal ho gayi hai kya tu? Cut it out yaar"
Neha : "Ok.. Ok... Haan tho aunty ne shaadi ki baath taal di... She just kept giving all kinds of excuses... At one point I even thought unhe main pasand nahi... you know how she is the all traditional types.. Phir Uncle ne ek din kaha that he wasn't going to pay heed to Aunty anymore and Uncle aur dad milke hamari engagement announce karne waale the... Thab jaake bechari Aunty had no choice but to tell everyone the truth ki tumne India mein shaadi kar li.."
Sid: "Oh God!!! Dad ko bahut gussa aya hoga na?"
Neha: "are you kidding? He was livid yaar... Thabhi tumhe call karne waale the, I think he would have killed you over the phone... Phir aunty ne aur Sue ne milke unhe thoda relax karaya and they were all praises for your wifey here..." Neha looks at Ridz and smiles.
Neha: "They practically convinced him that Ridzi is the best female on earth. You should be thankful ki unhe tickets nahi mile... Warna aaj, mere aane se pehle woh log yahan tumhara intezaar kar rahe hothe.."
Sid: "Oh God... Ab patha nahi kya hoga..."
Neha: "chill yaar... Kuch nahi... As long as Ridzi meets up to his expectations, everything is going to be just fine..."
Sid: "Neha, you know na how strict my dad is..."
Neha: "Koi nahi yaar... relax.. waise bhi main bahut thak gayi hoon I need to rest"
Sid: "Arey haan, tum guest room main jaake so jao aaj main couch pe..."
Riddhima cuts him off and says:"Haan Sid... Neha ko rest karne dethe hain aur hum bhi sone chalthe hain..."
Sid looks at Riddhima puzzled and Riddhima usse aankhon se ishara karthi hai ki chalo. Neha wishes them good night and goes to hug Sid, but Riddhima jumps in between them and hugs Neha and wishes her good night.
Scene III : In the bedroom
Sid and Riddhima walk into the bedroom and Sid says "Kya hua Riddhima? Tumne mujhe room mein kyun bulaya?" Riddhima says "Neha ke yahan rehthe tum couch pe kaise so sakthe ho?" Sid asks "Kyun?" Riddhima says "Samjha karo Sid, hamari shaadi ho gayi hai aur Neha ke samne hum normal pathi pathni hain.." Sid says "Arey its ok Riddhima, Neha meri best friend, main usse hamari shaadi ki sachayi batha doonga... She won't tell anyone... You don't have to do this" Riddhima says "Uski koi zaroorath nahi hai... Yeh... yeh hum dono ke beech ki baath... Main nahi chahthi ki kisi aur ko isme involve karein.." Sid says "Lekin Riddhima... Tum comfortable nahi hogi... Ek kaam kartha hoon main zameen pe so jaatha hoon.." Riddhima is getting irritated now and she says "Nahi Sid, main uncomfortable nahi hoon... Tum bed pe so sakthe ho..." Sid looks at her in surprise and wonders why she is getting angry "Are you sure Riddhima?" Riddhima gives him an annoyed look. Sid says "Ok." They both go and lie on the bed and turn to opposite sides. Riddhima is waiting in anticipation ki Sid will make the first move and Sid thinks ki Riddhima ne mujhpe bharosa kiya hai tho main woh bharosa nahi thod saktha and goes to sleep. Riddhima hears his soft snore and realizes he has gone to sleep and gets disappointed and angry and later, falls asleep.

PART III
Scene I : The sun rises. In the Modi penthouse...
Riddhima wakes to find Sid sleeping next to her like a baby. She gently ruffles his head and moves closer to him, almost as if to kiss him awake. Then in the last minute, draws back. She gets up from the bed and goes to the bathroom smiling a happy smile.
A couple of minutes later, she walks into the kitchen still smiling. Neha is already in the kitchen. Seeing her Riddhima's smile vanishes. She gets irritated and she thinks "What is she doing in my kitchen???" Ridz walks up to her. Neha turns and says "Good morning Ridzi!! I was just making some coffee... Want some??" Riddhima manages a smile and says, "No its ok... I'm going to have some cappuccino" Neha says "Ewwww... Cappuccino??!! How can you drink that stuff??? Sid n I hate cappuccino... It tastes like poison yaar..." Riddhima says "Well now even Sid drinks cappuccino..." Neha says "No way Ridzi!!! I don't believe that... The Sid I know would never drink cappuccino even if his life depended on it" Riddhima sports a satisfied smile and says "Well, the Sid you knew has changed..." (Riddhima is so happy she scored one up on Neha..) Neha says "Hmmmm... hey Ridzi... I hope you don't mind me asking.. But I found Sid's clothes and stuff in the guest room... I mean... Why are they there??? " Riddhima is trying hard to think of an excuse... Then she says "Woh.... Woh... Haan... actually... Sid is so untidy, he gets the whole room messy and I don't like my room to be messy so he just shifted his stuff into the other room... Don't worry I'll move it for you." Neha says "Chill yaar, not a problem... Waise Ridzi..." Riddhima interrupts her and says "Neha, I'd appreciate it if you just call me Riddhima and not Ridzi... Only one spl person calls me Ridzi..." Neha says "Oho is that Sid's lovey dovey name for you???... " Riddhima blushes and says "No no... Only my sister calls me Ridzi..." Neha says "achha... N what is Sid's lovey dovey name for you???" Riddhima remembers the time when he used to call her chudail, kachra, icky face and all... Neha pokes at Riddhima with her elbow in a teasing manner and says "So what is it? honey, baby, darling, sexy or jaan, janeman, jaanu???" Riddhima just shakes her head and says "I'll.... I'll just go give Sid his coffee and be back..." Neha keeps teasing her saying "Oho... Its more lovey dovey than that eh???" Riddhima blushes thinkign of the times Sid had been lovey dovey with her... Neha says "Wow, just thinking of it has this effect on you eh??" Riddhima looks at her in surprise... Neha says "Come on woman, its so obvious from your face the effect Sid has on you... My God you are even blushing!!! Hmmm... Siddy boy surely has his wife all gaga over him" Riddhima blushes even more and when she turns, she finds Sid standing there looking at her....
Sid had been listening to their conversation all this while. Actually, he had woken when Riddhima had ruffled his hair while she thought he was asleep this morning and just pretended to be asleep to know what she would do... He was so happy to know she had almost kissed him... Almost but then that was a start too... N the way Riddhima had smiled when she told Neha that Sid was drinking cappuccino now... He was starting to suspect that she was kind of jealous of Neha... "Well, it just works in my favour..." Sid thought "...and I am going to make the most of it" He was thinking this and had a devilish grin on his face when Riddhima turned towards him... What Neha said was true, Sid thought, Riddhima is blushing... Is she blushing even more looking at me??? But I don't call her any lovey dovey names then what is it that is making her blush??? Hmmm... patha tho karna padega...
Neha sees Sid and says "good morning Siddy boy... I never knew you could wake up this early... I thought Riddhima would have to spend a good one hour to wake you up..." Sid says "Oh no she doesn't... She just has to ruffle my hair..." Riddhima looks up at Sid in surprise and realizes he had been awake when she had done that... When she had almost kissed him!!! Oh God... she was going to die of embarrassment... Sid smiles at her embarrassment and says "Nah main tho bass mazak kar raha tha Neha... Actually woh main hospital ka disciplinary officer hoon na tho I have to go early" Neha almost spits out the coffee she is drinking and says "What???!!!! Sid???!!! You????!!! and a disciplinarian??!! I don't believe this... Dude... do you even know how to spell discipline??? " Riddhima is irked by Neha's comment and says "Hey remember I told you the Sid you knew has changed??/ Sid is much more mature and responsible now and he is a great disciplinarian..." Sid smiles at the way Riddhima speaks up for him... Neha says "Seriously man.... you have changed" Sid smiles and says "All thanks to my Riddhi..." Riddhima looks at him and Neha says "Ohhhh... so thats your lovey dovey name for your wifey eh?? Riddhi... I like the sound of that" Riddhima feels a shiver run through her when Sid says "Riddhi" Almost as if he had touched her... She loved the way her name sounded from his lips, it was always filled with so much of love but hearing him call her Riddhi sent waves of sensation rippling through every nerve fibre in her body.... She looked away from Sid so that he couldn't see in her eyes her reaction to the endearment.
Sid didn't know how Riddhima would react to the name Riddhi... He hadn't had time to think... It was when he heard Neha ask Riddhima about his pet name for her that he realized he didn't called her any kind of "lovey dovey" name... As Neha had listed out all the common endearments, he knew he couldn't call her any of those.. His Riddhima was too special and then on the spur of the moment Riddhi had fallen from his lips... he watched Riddhima closely to see how she reacted to the name and he liked what he saw... Her blush grew deeper and it was almost as if she got goosebumps from the name... Ok, so Riddhi it is from now, Sid decided. Hmmm. now time to cash in on the jealousy factor, Sid thought.
Sid asks Neha "Tho Neha, tumhara aaj ka plan kya hai?? Agar koi plan nahi hai tho main tumhe ghumane le jaa saktha hoon... Its your first trip to Mumbai na??" Riddhima is disturbed by the thought of Sid and Neha spending time together. She says "Arey nahi Sid, Neha ko main ghumane le chalthi hoon.. Waise bhi mujhe aaj hospital mein kuch khaas kaam nahi hai... Main tho chhuti hi lene waali thi I was just going to tell you about it... Tum hospital jaao... Disciplinarian ke bina hospital thode na chal saktha hai..." Sid can't help but smile... Neha says "Well, I just need to go to the venue in the afternoon coz today we just have intro sessions tho I was actually thinking ki main tumhare hospital chaloon... Dekhoon tho sahi tum kahan kaam karthe ho... Aur tumhare bechare patients ka kya haal hai" She winks at Sid. Sid says "Theek hai, tum mere saath hospital chalo and then in the afternoon I'll drop you off at the venue for your conference ok? Aur Riddhima, tum tho aaj chhutti lene waali thi na, tum ghar pe rest le lo" Riddhima thinks "Ab yeh kya ho gaya?? Sid aur Neha hospital mein ek saath.. kya karoon??" Then she blurts out "Arey nahi Sid woh mujhe abhi yaad aaya meri ek surgery hai subah... Main almost bhool gayi.. Main bhi chalthi hoon tum dono ke saath... Sid tum apni coffee pee lo main ready hoke aathi hoon" and she rushes into her room. Sid watches her run away and smiles. Neha says "She really loves you, you know that na?" Sid says "I do and I love her too... more than anything in this world..."
A couple of minutes later, Sid walks into the bedrooom and at the same time, Riddhima walks out of the bathroom, fresh from her shower, her wet hair framing her face... She looked as beautiful as ever. Sid ki nazarein usse hatthi nahi... Riddhima's heart starts to beat fast when she sees Sid staring at her with such intensity... Slowly, Sid moves towards her... Riddhima takes a step back for each step Sid takes forward, until she is pinned against the wall... Sid's eyes roam around her face and she is too shy to look at him... There is this single drop of water on her neck that catches his attention... He pulls Riddhima towards him and runs his other hand over her spine... She instinctively closes her eyes and arches back and Sid bends to kiss that drop of water from her neck... Riddhima is lost and Sid barely manages to hold back as he draws away.... he had decided that until and unless she confessed of her love to him he wouldn't make her his.... He knew she loved him and wanted him but he wanted her to realize it and confess it.... Small price and a sweet revenge for making him wait sooo long...
Riddhima was still lost when Sid started to move away from her.... She opened her eyes but could think of nothing except the effect he had on her... He traced his finger down the column of her throat and she just stood there caught in the raging storm of sensations flooding her... Then he smiled and said "Riddhi..." Riddhima couldn't breathe.... He was driving her mad... She forced herself to look at him... The passion she saw in those eyes had her melting from within... If he decided to make her his forever here and now she would be more than willing... Sid gently brushed a lock of hair away from her face and said "Riddhi... I love you..." He was hoping and praying that Riddhima would respond with a confession, he loved her so much it hurt... he had waited so long he couldn't take it anymore... If Riddhima said I love you now, then to hell with work, Neha and the world, he would hold Riddhima in his arms, make her his and never let her go... If only she would say I love you too Sid.... He searched her eyes, her beautiful eyes for the answer he wanted to hear....
Riddhima was too dazed to respond... She was caught in a storm of emotions... She was terrified by them and at the same time she loved what she was feeling... She looked into Sid's eyes and her soul screamed out "I love you too Sid... I love you too...." She opened her mouth to echo the words her soul was reapeating again and again when the phone rang.....

Scene I : In the Modi's bedroom
The phone is ringing outside but both Sid and Riddhima are too lost in each other to hear it. Neha picks up the phone and comes and knocks at their door... When they do not hear her knocking, she starts banging the door. Sid and Riddhima both hear the noise and their magical moment is broken. Sid opens the door and Neha says "Oye, behara ho gaya hai kya? I've been calling out to you and banging at your door since like forever dude.. Its aunty... She wants to talk to you urgently..." Sid immediately grabs the phone and walks out of the room.
Sid's mom : Siddhant, kaisa hai beta tu?
Sid : Haan mom, main theek hoon... Aap kaise ho?
Sid's mom : Abhi tho theek hoon lekin aage ka patha nahi... Tumhare dad ko sab bathana pada mujhe...
Sid : Haan mom mujhe patha hai, Neha ne mujhe sab batha diya...
Sid's mom : Chalo yeh achcha hai ki Neha wahan pehle pahunch gayi aur tumhe sab batha diya... Sid... Woh... tumhare aur Riddhima ke beech mein sab kuch theek tho hai na??
Sid (remembering the intense moment they had just shared and smiling) : Haan mom, sab kuch theek hai..
Sid's mom (heaves a sigh of relief) : Achcha hai warna agar tum dono ke beech ke problems dad ko dikhayi dethi tho patha nahi kya hotha... Ab dekho Sid, Riddhima ko achche se samjha dena ki woh ek achchi bahu aur achchi patni ki tarah pesh aaye... Aur haan tumhare dad shayad Riddhima ke gharwalon se bhi milna chahenge... Patha nahi woh kya karne wale hain... Jiss din unhe sachchayi ka patha chala, agar tum samne hothe tho shayad main bhi tumhe bacha nahi pathi.. Phir badi mushkil se maine aur Suvarna ne milke unhe samjhaya ki Riddhima bahut achchi ladki hai aur tum usse bahut pyar karthe ho... Usse achchi ladki tumhare liye mil hi nahi sakthi...
Sid : Thanks mom, I love you
Sid's mom : I love you too beta, lekin...
Sid : Lekin kya mom?
Sid's mom : Kya Riddhima hum sab ka bharosa rakh payegi?... tumhare dad ke ummeedon pe khara utharna aasan baath nahi hai...
Sid turns to find Riddhima making breakfast in the kitchen. She looks up at him, blushes and smiles. Sid feels as if his heart is going to burst with love for her. He tells his mom "Riddhima sabse alag hai mom... Aur mujhe yakeen hai ki hamara pyaar dekhke dad bhi convince ho jaayenge... "
Sid's mom : Hmmmmmm.... Phir bhi tum ek baar Riddhima se baath kar lena aur usse samjha dena... theek hai?
Sid : Jee mom... Waise aap aur dad kab aa rahe ho??
Sid's mom : Hum yahan se aaj nikalenge... Sunday early morning pahunch jaayenge....
Sid : Ok mom... See you soon...
Sid's mom : Theek hai beta... Apna khayal rakhna aur haan dad ko bilkul patha nahi chalna chahiye ki Neha ne tumhe sab batha diya hai ya maine tumse baath ki... Unhone sakth mana kiya tha...
Sid : Theek hai mom... Bye... Aap apna khayal rakhna aur yahan ka bilkul tension math lena... ok?
Sid's mom : Ok beta... Bye..
Sid : Bye mom
Sid thinks to himself how surprising it was that he had reacted so calmly to the whole situation. Just yesterday he had been so worried about the prospect of his Dad's reaction. But in a matter of a couple of hours, things had changed. Riddhima's jealousy, her unmistakeable response to him had given him an assurance like never before. He was sure Riddhima had been on the verge of a confession earlier... if only the phone.... But then he was sure of himself, of her and of their relationship now like never before... It was just a matter of time before they became one... A very short period of time he hoped...
Sid turns to find Riddhima watching him. He walks up to her
Riddhima : "Sid, sab kuch theek tho hai na??"
Sid : "haan, sab theek hai... Dad aur Mom Sunday pahunch rahe hain.."
Riddhima : "Oh..."
Sid notices a sudden look of nervousness and worry on Riddhima's face. He takes her hands in his and says "Riddhi, tumhe ghabrane ki koi zaroorath nahi hai, main hoon na tumhare saath... Dad bahar se thode se strict hain lekin andar se uthne hi naram... He just loves me a lot aur hamesha mere achche ke baare mein sochthe hain... Actually you have to thank him... Agar unhone mujhe zabardasthi yahan Abhi bhai ke paas nahi bheja hotha tho tumhe ithna handsome aur hot pathi nahi miltha..." and he winks at her.
Riddhima smiles. She feels much better now coz she knows she has Sid by her side... But she still has a nagging doubt at the back of her mind.
Riddhima : Lekin Sid, tumhari Mom ko tho main shayad pasand nahi...
Sid : Arey nahi Riddhi, you know what, agar Mom ko tum pasand nahi hothi tho woh kabhi Dad ke samne tumhari thareef nahi karthi... In fact, I've never known Mom to speak up against Dad... Mom sirf meri khushi chahthi hain... aur jab unhe patha chala ki meri khushi tumhare saath hai thab se unhone tumhe bhi apna liya... She is just protective and slightly possessive of me like every other Mom...
Riddhima smiles and thinks "Tumhare baare kaun possessive nahi hoga... Jaise abhi main ho rahi hoon Neha ko lekar..." The thought of Neha wipes the smile off Riddhima's face. She is confused coz on the one hand she knows that Sid is hers and Neha and Sid are just best buddies but the thing is she just couldn't stand anyone being close to Sid other than her.... It was an irrational jealousy but nevertheless she was jealous...
Sid could almost read Riddhima's train of thoughts but he didn't say anything to quell her jealousy. Instead, he says "Riddhi, main ready hoke aatha hoon... Waise bhi hum late ho gaye hain."
Scene II : At Sanjeevani Hospital.
Sid, Riddhima and Neha walk into the hospital together... JP and Jiggy see them and go up to them... Immediately Riddhima thinks of plan... She introduces Neha to JP and Jiggy and asks them to show her around the hospital... JP and Jiggy as always are more than willing... Riddhima is happy to see Jp and Jiggy taking Neha away with them and smiles. Sid watches the smile on her face and almost laughs. He was loving every bit of the jealous Riddhima Modi... Just then a nurse walks up to Riddhima and says "Dr. Riddhima, maine tho kal aapko bathaya tha ki aapki patient cancel ho gayi hai aur aaj aapke koi aur patients scheduled nahi hai aur apne kaha tha ki aap chhutti lene waali hain... Kahin aap bhool tho nahi gayi" Riddhima is grinding her teeth at the nurse and Sid is ready to burst out with laughter. He decides to tease her and says "Arey nahi sister aapse koi galthi hui hogi... Dr. Riddhima ki tho subah surgery hai... Phir se check kijiye.." The nurse replies "nahi Dr. Siddhant, mujhe pakka patha hai..." Riddhima says "Koi baath nahi... Aap jaake apni duty resume kijiye" Riddhima looks at Sid and says "Woh shayad main hi bhool gayi.." Sid says "achcha tho main tumhe ghar chhod doon??" Riddhima says "Kyun?" Sid says "tumhare koi patients nahi hain na aaj... tho tum din bhar hospital mein kya karogi? Ghar jaake aaram kar lo" Riddhima imagines Sid spending time with Neha and says "Nahi, nahi... Main yahin rukthi hoon... Koi emergency aa gayi tho?" Sid laughs and says "Theek hai..."
Scene III : Its evening time. Sid and Riddhima are heading home in their car...
Riddhima is lost in thoughts of their day... the entire morning Riddhima had walked around the hospital doing nothing coz she did not have patients scheduled and there were enough doctors in the other wards. She effectively made sure that JP n Jiggy kept Neha away from Sid while she herself missed no opportunity to steal a glance at Sid or observe Sid without being noticed. In the afternoon, they had gone to drop Neha off at the venue of her conference (Riddhima had insisted on accompanying them). The venue was a 5 star hotel and after dropping Neha off, Sid had impromptu suggested they both have lunch together at the hotel. They had had lunch together and talked about random stuff. Riddhima asked Sid about his childhood and she heard pretty much the same story Neha had told her... But she was happy to hear it from Sid again... Then they had returned to the hospital and Sid had gotten all busy with work...
They reached home to find Neha already home... She was all dressed up in party style unlike the formal suit she had worn for the conference...
Sid : Neha, thats an awesome outfit... You are still in shape eh??
Riddhima is fuming that Sid is commenting about another female's shape...
Neha : You bet...
Riddhima : Kahin jaa rahi ho Neha?
Neha : Sirf main nahi... hum sab...
Sid : Lekin kahan??
Neha : We are going to a pub to have some music, dance and drinks
Neha winks at Sid
Sid : Arey nahi Neha...
Neha : Whats up with you dude? Tum ithne boring kabse ho gaye? Remember you used to be the life of every party man??? Agreed ki tum zyada drink nahi karthe the... woh tho main bhi nahi karthi... But then what about the music and dance yaar?? You used to set the dance floor on fire... Ithna achcha dance karthe the tum... Aur haan gaana bhi theek hi gaa lethe the...
Riddhima is surprised... Sid? Aur dance and music? she never knew Sid could dance... much less sing!!!! Hmmmm... there was still so much she did not know about Sid...
Sid : Aisi baath nahi hai Neha... Riddhi wouldn't be comfortable...
Neha gives Riddhima (who is wearing a churidar) a once over and says : Haan I get what you are saying...
Riddhima tries hard to control her temper and says "Who says I won't be comfortable?? I am perfectly alright with the idea... Just give me a few minutes to change and we'll go..."
Sid looks at Riddhima in surprise and Neha is overjoyed, she says "Way to go girl..."
Scene IV : At a pub
Sid couldn't seem to take his eyes off Riddhima... It was the first time he had seen her in western wear... Boy, she had gone all out with it... She was wearing a black dress that fit her so perfectly... She looked Hot.... She looked so different from the salwar kameez and saree type Riddhima he had seen all this while.... The only thing he did not like was that she had tied her hair back in a severe style... Time to do something about that Sid thought...
Sid and Riddhima had been sitting in a corner while Neha danced away on the dance floor... Sid invited Riddhima to dance... Riddhima agreed and they moved to the dance floor... Sid drew Riddhima close and pulled her hair free of the clip that tied it and says : "Tumhare baal khule hue zyaada achche lagthe hain..." Riddhima blushes... The song changes to a fast romantic number ("Sholon se sholon si" from the movie Shabd). Sid and Riddhima start dancing in perfect sync with each other to the dancer number... They are so lost in each other's eyes that they do not realize that everyone has moved off the dance floor to give way to them... They were lost in each other's eyes and arms and dancing away to the music while everything around them, time, people, everything stood still watching them... They set the dance floor on fire with their moves and their crackling chemistry... When the music ends, everyone applauds and thats when Sid and Riddhima realize that they had been the cynosure of all eyes all this while and they hadn't known it... Riddhima feels shy and leaves the dance floor... Sid follows her...
As soon as they get seated, Neha comes to them and says "Woah... what was that??!!! Awesome guys... awesome.. you two were so perfect together... I knew Sid dances well but Riddhima you surprise me... Good job..." Riddhima smiles and Neha says "lets drink to your awesome performance" Sid interrupts her and says "Riddhi doesn't drink..." Neha asks "not even wine or champagne??" in surprise... Sid starts to say no but Riddhima interrupts and says "I'll have anything you order..." and gives Sid a triumphant look... Sid pulls Riddhima closer and says "Riddhi, yeah kya kar rahi ho tum? I know you don't drink tho phir yeh sab kya hai??" Riddhima gives him a naughty smile and says "Kyun? tumhe kya laga? ki main tumhare born and brought up in US tyoes nahi ban sakthi?? Galath socha Dr. Siddhant Modi... Main Mrs.Modi hoon aur main kuch bhi kar sakthi hoon"
Riddhima downs one glass after the other of drinks as Neha keeps ordering them till she is all talli... Sid tries to stop her but she is too stubborn...
Scene V : Back at Modi penthouse
Sid carries a drunk Riddhima (who is singing something incomprehensible) into the house and Neha follows him in...
Neha : I'm off to bed... you take good care of her...
Sid : Yeah and thanks for getting her drunk
Neha : What? she was having so much fun... You can't blame me for helping her have fun...
Sid : Never mind... Good night
Neha : Good night
Riddhima (in drunken stupor) : Good night Neha... You know you are my best friend too... Because you are Sid's best friend.. So you are my best friend... No no... Someone else is my best friend... Sorry... you can be my second best friend... But do you know who is my best friend??
Neha : No Riddhima.. Who is it??
Riddhima (thinking) : My best friend is.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Oh haan arey mera best friend tho Sid hai.... Sid is my best friend....
Neha chuckles and says : Ok Riddhima... Good night
Riddhima : Good night good night... and she continues singing...
Sid carries Riddhima into the bedroom and tries to get her to stand on her own while he locks the door but she fumbles and falls onto Sid... She looks up at Sid and gives a sweet smile... Sid lifts her up in his arms again and carries her to the bed... He goes to place her on the bed but Riddhima refuses to let go...
Sid : Riddhi, mujhe chhodo aur bed pe let jao..
Riddhima shakes her head in refusal...
Sid : "Riddhi, come on..."
Riddhima shakes her head more vehemently
Riddhima (innocently) : "Mujhe bahut achcha lagtha hai jab tum mujhe apni baahon mein utathe ho... Mujhe aise hi rehna hai... Mujhe neeche math utharo..."
Sid smiles at her and says : "Agar main kahoon ki... Hmmmmm... agar tum ab ke liye bed pe let jao tho main tumhe good night hug doonga tho mujhe chhodogi?"
Riddhima smiles and shakes her head saying no
Then Sid says : Agar good night hug ke saath good night kiss bhi doon tho??
Riddhima thinks for a minute and shakes her head and says no
Sid : Agar good night hug aur kiss ke saath tumhe apni bahon mein sulaoon tho??
Riddhima thinks again and then shakes her head saying no...
Sid brings her closer to him and asks in a deep husky and sexy voice : Tho Mrs. Riddhima Siddhant Modi, aapko aur kya chahiye???
Riddhima blushes and says : "Promise karo ki aaj se har roz raath ko tum mujhe aise hi sulaoge..."
Sid gives a sexy smile and says "I promise... Main har roz raath ko tum hug, kiss aur aur bhi bahut kuch karke tumhe apni bahon mein sulaoonga... all my life...."
Riddhima is too drunk to notice what Sid has promised her..... She smiles and settles into bed... Sid comes to lie beside her, kisses her good night and holds her tight... Riddhima settles into his arms comfortably... Then she looks up at him and says "I love you Sid... I love you very much..." Sid's eyes fill up and he kisses her on her forehead and says "I love you too Riddhi, with all my heart..." Sid thinks "Aakhir Riddhima ne apne dil ki baath mujhse keh di..." He looks at Riddhima who has gone to sleep and says "I promise Riddhima, to love you, hold you and cherish you for the rest of my life... lekin abhi humare ek hone main waqt hai... Because I wnat to make it memorable for you... not when you are in drunken stupor... Ab woh waqt door nahi jab tum hamesha ke liye meri aur sirf meri bann jaoge... Jab hum sahi maynon mein pathi pathni ban jayenge... I promise... Good night Riddhi.. " Sid too goes to sleep...

Scene I : The Modi's bedroom in the morning.
Riddhima opens her eyes to a pounding headache. Even opening her eyes seemed such an effort. Some how she manages to get off the bed and makes it to the bathroom where she starts throwing up. She tries hard to recollect what happened last night but everything is just so disjoint. She vaguely remembers having said I love you Sid but is not certain whether she'd actually said it or she'd just been dreaming. She changes, freshens up and opens the bathroom door. Standing right in front of her are Sid's parents and a worried Sid. Riddhima is shocked... She doesn't know how to react... Oh God she looked such a mess... Why did they have to see her like this??? How would she explain herself??
Sid's mother walks towards Riddhima with an impassive face... Riddhima doesn't know what to do... She bends to touch her feet to get aashirvaad but oh! her head feels so heavy, she almost falls over... Sid's mother catches her just in time... Sid rushes to her and asks "Riddhima, tum theek tho ho na??" Riddhima just nods her head and looks at Sid pleadingly to say something to ease the situation. Sid looks at his mom and dad and says "Mom,dad, yeh Riddhima hai... Meri biwi.." Riddhima looks at Sid with an expression that reads... "Thanks... That was such a great help..."
Sid's mom looks over Riddhima and asks "Kya hua Riddhima?" Riddhima decides to just stick to the facts and says "Kuch nahi aunty, woh, patha nahi woh sar bahut bhari bhari sa lag raha hai aur ultiyan ho rahi thi... Shayad kuch galath kha liya" Sid agrees "Haan mom shayad kuch galath khaa pee liya hoga" Riddhima looks at him annoyed for mentioning her having drunk something wrong... Sid's mom continues to look at her closely and then her face breaks into a smile... She hug Riddhima tight and says "Jeethi raho beti... Jeethi raho..." Both Sid and Riddhima are confused. They look at each other wondering whats going on...
Sid's mom rushes to Sid's dad and said "Aiyji... Suna apne? Hamari bahu ko ultiyan ho rahi hain..." Sid's dad looks at her as if she has gone mad... Sid's mom clarifies "Mubarak ho... Aap dada banne waale ho aur main daadi...." Both Sid and Riddhima first look at each other in surprise and then at Sid's mom and say in unison "Kya????!!!!" Neha comes rushing in hearing the noise.
Neha : "Kya hua? Sab theek tho hai na??/"
Sid's mom : "Ab sab kuch theek ho ga.. Tumhara dost baap banne waala hai..."
Neha looks surprised and says : "Wow...."
Sid's mom tells Sid's dad : "Suniyeji... Ab na gussa thook dijiye... Hamari bahu ne hume ithni achchi khush khabari di hai... Ab gusse ki tho koi gunjayish hi nahi hai... Jo bhi hotha hai achche ke liye hotha hai ji...."
Riddhima starts to say that she is not pregnant and Neha stops her by squeezing her hand... When Riddhima looks at her Neha shakes her head saying no...
Sid's mom : Siddhant, Riddhima, aao apne papa se ashirvaad le lo...
Sid and Riddhima look at each other totally confused... Both of them walk towards Sid's dad and go to touch his feet... He lifts his hand slightly, says nothing and walks away...
Scene II : Modi house terrace... Sid, Riddhima and Neha...
Riddhima : Neha, tumne dad aur mom ko sachayi bathane se mujhe kyun roka???
Sid : Haan Neha, abhi woh samajhthe hain ki Riddhima pregnant hai...
Neha : Cool down guys... Meri baath tho sun lo pehle... Sid tumne dekha na uncle kithne gusse mein the jab woh aaye the... Kya kaha tha unhone tumse...
(*flashback*)... Sid opens the door to find his Dad and Mom standing at his doorstep. He is shocked to find them there as they had reached a day earlier... He looks at his mom who gives him a helpless expression... He says "Hi Dad..." His father says "Dad Sid? Kya abhi bhi tum mujhe apna dad manthe ho? Mujhe tho laga tha ki tum ithne bade ho gaye, apne zindagi ke saare decisions khud lene lag gaye ho, tumhe apne dad ya mom ki koi zaroorath hi nahi..." Sid says "Nahi Dad, aisi baath nahi hai.." Sid's dad "I haven't finished talking Siddhant Modi..." Sid stops talking and looks down. Sid's mom intervenes and says "Aiyji, pehle andar tho chalein.... Aise darwaze pe tho nahi khade reh sakthe na..." Sid's dad "Sunanda, apno ke ghar mein bin bulaye aathe hain, tumhare laadle ne tho hume paraya kar diya hai, na hamari aur na hamare khandaan ki izzat ka lihaz hai isse... Isse poocho ki kya yeh bina appointment ke humse mil paayega???" Sid looks up at his dad and silently takes the luggage from him and carries it into the house... Sid's dad and mom follow him into the house...
Sid's dad looks at Sid and says "Siddhant, main jaanna chahtha hoon ki aisi kya afath aan padi thi ki tumne aise jaldbaazi mein shaadi kar li??? yeh bhi koi tareeka hotha hai kya?? Aur uss ladki ke ghar waalon ko bhi ek baar bhi nahi laga ki tumhare parents ko inform karna chahiye? Patha nahi kaise logon se rishtha jod liya hai tumne... Abhi umar hi kya hai tumhari?? Mana ki maine tumhe Mumbai Abhi ke paas iss liye bheja ki tum thodi si responsibility seekh lo... Lekin yeh sab??..." Sid's mom interrupts him and says "Ab bass bhi kijiye... Jab se aayein hain usse dante jaa rahe hain.... Ek baar uski baath tho sun lijiye..." Sid's dad is too angry to listen to her "Iski kya baath sunoo main Sunanda??? Abhi bhi zindagi ko mazaak samajhtha hai yeh.... Ladki pasand aayi nahi ki apne aap usse shaadi bhi kar li... Ek baar bhi apne mom dad se poochne ki zaroorath nahi samjhi tumne??? Iss keliye kya kya sochke rakha tha maine.... Lekin ab kuch nahi... Iska humse koi vastha nahi... Main yahan sirf apni thassalli ke liye aaya hoon... Dad hoon na... Apne bete ko barbaad hotha nahi dekh saktha... Akhri baar apne bete ko dekhne aaya hoon... Ab iske baad Shekhar Modi ka koi beta nahi..." Sid's mom is shocked and says "Yeh aap kya keh rahe hainji?!!.." SId is surprised too and starts to say something... Thats when everyone hears Riddhima wretching and come running into the room...... (*end of flashback*)
(*Back to terrace scene where Neha, Riddhima and Sid are having their discussion*)
Neha : Sid dude, uncle tumhe disown karne waale the when he came in.... and when he heard aunty saying he was going to become a grandpa... It was as if someone waived a magic wand or something... I saw his face yaar... Uncle ka gussa tho jaise gayab hi ho gaya.... I saw something very tender and loving flash across his face before he covered it up with his usual angry and serious look. Come on Sid, you know uncle na, as tough as he is from the outside, he loves you and cares for you from the inside... But its difficult to crack that outer shell of his and reach inside... Nothing you would have said or done could have gotten him to calm down so effectively and accept Riddhima and your marriage... Jaanthe ho na tum Uncle ko??
Riddhima : Lekin Neha main pregnant nahi hoon!!! jab unhe yeh sachayi patha chalegi tho woh aur bhi naraaz ho jaayenge... Pehle hi woh shaadi ki baath ko lekar naraaz hain... Uske upar se ek aur jhoot??? Mujhe yeh sab sahi nahi lagtha....
Sid : Riddhima theek keh rahi hai Neha...
Neha : Don't you guys get it?? iss ek chhote se jhoot se tumhari saari problems khatham ho jaayengi.. Aur kya sachayi bathaogi tum unhe? That you were drunk senseless last night and you were having a hangover? N its not as if there is no chance in hell that you could be pregnant Riddhima.... Who knows... you could be pregnant or if not now in the near future....
Sid and Riddhima fall into an awkward silence coz both of them know that there is absolutely no chance Riddhima could be pregannt but they can't tell Neha that...
Just then Sid's mom walks in hurriedly....
Sid's mom : Siddhant beta (She goes to hug Sid)... Riddhima... (She hugs Riddhima) Main tum dono ko batha nahi sakthi ki main kithni khush hoon.... Woh tumhare dad ne mujhe tumse phone pe baath karthe hue sun liya tha aur unhone tickets raat ke flight ke bajaye subah ki le leen... Poore raasthe unhone koi baath nahi ki... Main unhe baar baar bathathi rahi ki Riddhima achchi ladki hai aur tum dono bahut khush ho... Woh tumhe lekar pareshaan the Siddhant, unki baath ka bura math manna...
Sid : Mom lekin.... woh... Actually Riddhima...
Sid's mom : Riddhima... Main yehi sochke pareshaan ho rahi thi ki tum dono ke beech sab kuch theek hua hai ki nahi.... Lekin yahan aake jo khush khabari mili hai.. Meri saari chintha door ho gayi... Warna shayad kahin main bhi thodi si pareshaan thi ki tum dono iss rishthe ko kaise nibha paoge.... Ab mujhe koi chintha nahi hai.... Lekin haan Riddhima, tumhe abhi apna bahut khayal rakhna hoga... Hamare Modi khandan ka ansh jo hai tumhare andar...
Though she knew that it was a lie, hearing Sid's mom refer to her carrying the Modi khandaan's ansh in her made Riddhima feel happy... It was a special feeling and she almost blushed thinking about it... Sid too felt a slight twinge of some kind of emotion he had never felt before when he heard his mom say that... They both looked at each other and smiled...
Sid's mom : Tumhare dad ka gussa tho jaise ek dum se gayab hi ho gaya... Abhi woh mujhse keh rahe the ki patha hi nahi chala ki hamara Sid kab ithna bada ho gaya... Yakeen nahi hotha ki hum dono dada dadi banne waale hain.... Hamare pothe ya pothi ko bhi hum doctor hi banayenge.... Aur unki aankhein bhar aayi....
Sid's mom's eyes well up with tears too... Sid goes and hugs his mom... Riddhima stands there looking at them and Neha gives her a look saying "This is what I said... If a small lie can make them all happy....."
Scene III : At the breakfast table.
Sid's parents, Sid and Riddhima are having breakfast together. For the first time, Riddhima observes Sid's dad and notices that Sid had taken after his dad... The same features, same build, except that Shekhar Modi had been hardened by time... he wore glasses and his hair had started to grey around his temples... Riddhima imagines Sid 20 years down the lane... He would look exactly the way his dad looks now... She imagined Sid walking down the corridors of Sanjeevani in a formal suit, slightly greying hair, wearing specs, his hair still unruly... Looking all the more handsome with age... She imagined him scolding the interns as her father would... She imagined him playing with their kids at home... And suddenly the image of Sid holding the baby in the nursery from yesterday flashed before her eyes... Maybe it would be better if they changed the lie into a truth she thought... She smiled... Sid saw her smiling and gave her an enquiring look... She just blushed and shook her head...
Sid's dad : Siddhant, main Riddhima ke ghar waalon se milna chahtha hoon...
Sid : Usse pehle mujhe aapse kuch baath karni hai dad...
Sid's dad : Theek hai.. Bahar chalein...
Sid : Ji...
Before Sid leaves Riddhima asks him not to tell his dad that she was not pregnant. Sid asks her why but she says woh sab baad mein but right now don't tell him... Sid agrees and leaves the room.
Scene IV : In the courtyard of Modi Penthouse
Sid narrates to his father their entire story, right from their first meeting, their fights, the truth about Armaan and Riddhima, their search for Armaan, the body heat episode, how it led to their marriage, how Armaan returned, how they were almost on the verge of a divorce and then finally how Riddhima had decided to stay with him and they had begun a new life together..
Sid's dad listened in wonder as his son, whom he had always thought of as irresponsible and careless about life, had gone through so much on his own and emerged as a mature and responsible guy. He felt proud of his son and realized that somehow Riddhima had been the catalyst of this change in his son... He had come here furious at his son, at the woman he thought had ruined his son's life but the first thing that greeted him was the news of the arrival of a little one, then his realization that his son had become exactly what he had wanted him to become... It was overwhelming... But he was happy... He went up to Sid and hugged him... "I am proud of you my son... I am proud of you... " he said... When he drew away, Sid saw his father's eyes brimming with tears... "And congrats my boy!! You are going to be a father... N now I know you will be the best dad in the world... " Saying that Sid's dad walked away... A couple of feet ahead, he turned and said "Sid. I still want to meet Riddhima's family..." Sid smiles and nods... His own eyes are filled with tears...
Scene V : At the Gupta's place
Dr. Shashank and Sid's dad get along wonderfully together. So do Padma and Sid's mom. Both Sid and Riddhima are happy to see this. Sid's mom had given them the news of Riddhima's pregnancy and everyone was overjoyed. Suddenly, Sid's mom says "Padmaji, ek shikayath tho hai humme aapse..." Padma and Shashank look at each other worried. Padma asks "Kya hua Sunanda ji??" "Bhai aap tho apni beti ki shaadi mein shamil ho gayi lekin hum apne bete ki shaadi mein shamil nahi ho paaye.." Sid's mom complains... Shashank says "Oho.. tho isme kya hai Sunanda ji.. Inn dono ki shaadi phir se kara dethe hain... Kya kehthe hain Shekhar ji??" Sid's dad replies "Yeh tho kaafi achcha khayal hai... Iss bahane Riddhima hamare poore parivar se bhi mil legi..." Shashank says "Tho thay raha... Sid aur Riddhima ki shaadi dobara hogi..." Sid and Riddhima are happy to hear this... Sid's mom says "Ab hamare liye tho yeh pehli baar ho rahi hai na dono ki shaadi, tho sab reethi riwaz ke muthabik hoga..." Padma says "yeh apne sahi kaha.. Ek kaam karo Riddhima, shaadi thak tum yahin ruk jao.." Sid and Riddhima are upset hearing this... Sid says "Arey nahi mom, its ok... Riddhima hamare ghar reh legi..." Riddhima too says "Haan mom, its ok..." Padma and Sunanda smile at each other and Sunanda says "Arey nahi Riddhima beta, ab shaadi ho rahi hai tho tum dono saath mein kaise reh sakthe ho shaadi se pehle.." Sid says "Lekin hamari shaadi tho ho chuki hai na mom.." Sid's mom scolds him mockingly and says "Siddhant, behes math karo..." Sid is upset and then thinks "Jab main raazi tha tho Riddhima bhaav kha rahi thi, jab Riddhima raazi thi tho main nakhre dikha raha tha aur ab jab hum dono raazi hain tho ab yeh sab..." then suddenly an idea strikes Sid... He says "Kyun na hum pichchli baar ki tarah shaadi humare farmhouse pe karein?? Wahin rehke saari arrangements bhi kar lenge" "Yeh achcha idea hai waise" Shashank says..... "Tho phir theek hai.. Hum sab aaj hi farmhouse chalenge aur do din mein inki shaadi hogi" Sid's dad declares... Sid is extremely pleased with his idea coz if all of them are at the farmhouse, then though Riddhima and he would be in different rooms atleast she would be in the same house as him... Riddhima too is happy for the same reason and she looks at Sid who winks at her... Riddhima smiles coz she has other plans too....

Scene 1 : At the Modi's farmhouse in the evening.
Sid (mumbling to himself) : Jab se aaye hain koi na koi kaam mil raha hai bas Riddhima nahi mil rahi...
Sid's mom : Siddhant, tumne Suvarna ke liye tickets book kar diye na? Kal ke Haldi aur Mehendi mein tho nahi pahunch payegi woh.. Shaadi thak hi pahunch jaaye bass...
Sid : Haan mom.. maine book kar diye... Woh shaadi ke din subah pahunch jaayegi..
Sid's mom : Aur haan Riddhima ke liye gehene banvane diye hain woh bhi kal jaake leke aana...
Sid : Kya Mom... Ab mujhe gehenon ke baare mein kya patha? Aur meri shaadi mein aap mujhse hi saara kaam karva rahe ho... Kisi aur se bolo na...
Sid's mom : Arey tu ithna chid kyun raha hai?? theek hai kisi aur ko bol doongi ki kal gehene leke aaye...
Sid (mumbling to himself) : Ab chidoonga nahi tho kya bhangra karoongi... Ithni der se bhaag daud kar raha hoon aur upar se Riddhima ko patha nahi kaun se kamre mein bandh kar diya hai... Dikhi bhi nahi jab se aaya hoon (He has is characteristic frown on his face)
Neha : Oye Dulhe raja... Why so sad sad??
Sid : Neha!!! (A sudden smile brightens up his face)... Tu tho meri best friend hai na.. Tu tho batha de ki Riddhima kahan hai... Dekh ithni der ho gayi aur main usse mila bhi nahi...
Neha : Achcha tho yeh baath hai... Riddhima woh... (Neha turns to point somewhere and notices Jp and Jiggy and coming towards her... her expression changes to one of fear)
Neha : Sid, Riddhima wahan uss taraf waale kamre mein hai aur agar main abhi nahi gayi tho yeh dono mujhe ithna pakayenge ki tum mujhe bhi dinner ke main course ke saath serve kar sakoge... I am out of here dude...
Sid : Thank you Neha.. Tum sach mein meri best friend ho...
Neha turns and runs away while JP and Jiggy are following her. Sid stops them and says "Abbe tum log yahan meri shaadi ki thayyariyon mein madad karne aaye ho ki Neha ke peeche ghoomne???"
JP : Kya keh rahe ho aap Sid bhaiyya hum aur Neha flowerji ke peeche ghoomein... Na na na... Hum tho unke saath ghoomne aaye hain...
Sid : Oye JP... Jaa yaar... Mom ko zara help ki zaroorath hai..
JP : Hum baad mein nahi jaa sakthe?? (His eyes are following Neha)
Sid : Abhi jaa warna agle 6 maheene teri duty path lab mein...
JP : Ab yeh tho galath baath hai Sid bhaiyya...
Sid : Arey yaar pls jaa na...
JP : Theek hai... Jaathe hain...
Sid rushes to the room Neha had mentioned and barges in calling "Riddhima"... Riddhima is sitting there with her mom and both of them look up at Sid as he enters.
Sid : Riddhi... (Then he sees Padma) Maaaaa... Maa aap yahan hain... Main aapko hi dhoond raha tha...
Padma : Achcha?? (She knows he is lying) Kya baath hai beta? Kuch kaam tha??
Sid : Nahin... woh.. haan.. woh mom pooch rahi thi ki haldi aur mehendi ke beech mein sangeeth hoga ya mehendi ke baad haldi lagake sangeeth karenge...
Padma : Kya???
Riddhima laughs...
Sid : Nahi mom woh mom ko rasmo ke baare mein kuch doubt ho raha tha tho woh aapse poochna chah rahi thi...
Padma : Achcha? Lekin humne tho sab apas mein thay kar liya tha...
Sid : Nahi mom woh mom ko kisi aur baath pe doubt hai..
Padma : Tum Riddhima se baath karna chahthe ho na??
Sid : Nahi mom, aisi koi baath nahi hai..
Padma : Achcha? Tho phir theek hai tum jao, main aathi hoon...
Sid : Arey nahin mom, (scratches his head) mujhe Riddhima se baath karni thi..
Padma smiles and says : Theek hai... Lekin zyada der nahi eh? Waise bhi raath bahut ho gayi hai.. Kal haldi aur mehendi ki rasm hai aur subah shopping bhi jaana hai...
Sid : Thanks mom.. You are the best
Padma : Mujhe patha hai...
Padma walks out of the door and turns to warn them again ki zyada der nahi... Sid nods and closes the door behind her... Riddhima is standing there all shy and nervous... Sid justs goes upto her and hugs her tight...
Sid : Tumhe patha hai maine tumhe kithna miss kiya...
Riddhima : Maine bhi...
Sid (drawing away to look at her) : Sach mein tumne mujhe miss kiya?
Riddhima nods her head...
Sid : Patha nahi yaar shaadi ke idea thak tho theek tha lekin yeh alag rehne ki baath na....
Riddhima smiles up at him...
Sid : Bass jaldi se yeh shaadi ho jaaye...
Riddhima : Hmmmm... Tum kuch kehne aaye the...
Sid : Kehne? Main tho apna promise nibhane aaya tha..
Riddhima : Promise? Kaisa promise?
Sid : Arey bhool gayi? Oh haan tum tho peeke tunn ho gayi thi... Main tumhe yaad dilatha hoon... (He moves closer to Riddhima and Riddhima starts to back away from him.... He recounts the incidents upto the point where she refuses to let go even after he says he would let her sleep in his arms... By now Riddhima is backed up against the wall and Sid's face is so close to hers that their noses are touching..)
Sid (in a soft and husky voice) : Phir maine tumse poocha ki Tho Mrs. Riddhima Siddhant Modi, aapko aur kya chahiye? Aur tumne mujhse kaha ki main tumhe promise karoon ki main har roz raath ko tumhe good night hug aur kiss doon aur tumhe apni bahoon mein sulaoon...
Riddhima blushes and tries to walk away but Sid stops her.
Sid (still in his husky voice) : Abhi mera promise baaki hai Riddhima... (Riddhima's breath is caught in her throat and she can't seem to look at Sid... Sid turns her face to him)
Sid : Main tumhe promise kiya ki main har roz raath ko tumhe hug, kiss aur aur bhi bahut kuch karke tumhe apni bahon mein sulaoonga...
Colour floods Riddhima's cheeks, her toes curl and she gently bites her lower lip.. Sid notices her reaction and loves it...
Sid : Aur tum tho jaanthi ho na Riddhima main vade ka kithna pakka hoon...
He pulls Riddhima into a tight hug and plants a kiss on her forehead... His lips move all over her face... lower and lower till he almost touches her lips then he draws back.. Riddhima's eyes fly open... And in them Sid sees the same intense fire of passion that burns in his own...
Sid : Abhi ke liye bas ithna hi Riddhima... lekin I promise ki do din baad main apna vada poori tarah se nibhaoonga...
Saying that he walks out of the door.. while leaving, he turns back and winks at her.. Riddhima blushes...
All night long Sid and Riddhima think of each other... Riddhima thinks that this is how a real wedding should feel... She remembers all her close moments with Sid and Sid's words "Do din baad main apna vada poori tarah se nibhaoonga" keep echoing in her heart... She felt like a bride... Full of love, hope, excitement, a touch of nervousness... She'd never thought she'd feel so alive ever again... But Sid had brought her to life.. This was unlike there first wedding where she had been forced by circumstances and wanted to end her life than live it with Sid... Today she would rather die than not have Sid in her life... She loved him... Yes, she loved him more than she thought it was possible...
Scene II : Next day morning
Sid is looking around for Riddhima again and can't find her... He asks Neha but she doesn't know... Then he asks his mom...
Sid : Mom, apne Riddhima ko kahin dekha hai?
Sid's mom : Kyun? Tumhe usse kya kaam hai...
Sid : Nahi mom bass aise hi... Apne usse kahin dekha hai..
Sid's mom : Woh apni maa ke saath shopping karne gayi hai... Aaj haldi aur mehendi ke liye kapde lene hai na aur shaadi ka joda bhi tho lena hai...
Sid remembers Padma mentioning that they were going shopping... He thinks of a plan...
Sid : Mom.. Aapne tho mere liye naye kapde liye hi nahi...
Sid's mom : Arey tu kaun sa ladkiyon ki tarah sajne savarne waala hai... Apne pehle waale kapde hi pehen le...
Sid : Ab yeh kya baath hui mom, meri shaadi mein mujhe naye kapde nahi milenge kya?
Sid's mom : Abhi mere paas time nahi hai ki main tere saath aake shopping karoon.. Rishthedaar aur mehmaan dopahar thak aana shuru ho jaayenge aur main hi nahi rahoongi tho kaisa lagega??
Sid : Tho main Neha ko leke jaatha hoon na... aur haan aapne jo Riddhima ke liye gehene banane ke liye diye the woh bhi tho leke aane hain..
Sid's mom : Arey uske baare mein tho main bhool hi gayi... Sid tum na Neha ko leke jao aur kapde lene hain tho le lo lekin gehene math bhulna...
Sid is excited and starts to run off...
Sid's mom : Aur haan jaldi lautke aana...
Sid : jee mom
Scene III
At the clothes shop, Riddhima is trying on different lehenga cholis when she spots Sid standing at a corner. Sid asks her not to let her parents know he was here and continue picking dresses... Riddhima tries each one on and comes and stands in front of a mirror where she can see Sid and Sid can see her... Sid makes faces at the first few ones but then she tries on a maroon one which is too beautiful and when she sees Sid's expression change to awe, she decidec to buy that as her wedding dress...
Neha : Achcha tho tum yahan is liye aaye ho...
Sid : Aur nahi tho kya...
Neha : Abhi khud ke kapde bhi select kar lo warna purane waale mein shaadi karni padegi...
Sid and Neha go to the men's section of the store.. While Shashank and Padma are at the counter paying for and getting the stuff, Riddhima slips by and goes to the men's section. There she helps Sid select a sherwani.. Its white and maroon and Sid looks awesome in it... Then she quickly rushes back to join her parents before they notice she is missing...
Scene IV : Back at the farmhouse..
The haldi function starts and both Sid and Riddhima are in different rooms with haldi being applied on them... Siddhant tries to slip by to go see Riddhima but JPJ always manage to stop him... After the haldi ceremony, the Mehendi ceremony starts... Sid is not allowed to go in so he peeks in from a window to see Riddhima... Riddhima was looking beautiful in a green lehenga choli.. as radiant as ever... His relatives had taken an instant liking towards Riddhima and now as they were applying Mehendi on her hands they were whispering something in her ear which made her blush... Haiye, the way she blushed made Sid fall in love with her again and again and each time deeper than before...
Finally, the mehendi ceremony got over and Padma left Riddhima in her room and went. Sid jumped in from the window of her room... Riddhima is surprised...
Riddhima : Sid!! yeh tum kya kar rahe ho??
Sid : Arey phir se bhool gayi, apna vada nibhane aaya hoon...
Riddhima blushes and looks away
Sid walks up to her and takes her hand in his... He kisses her hands...
Sid : Tumhari mehendi tho bahut achchi hai...
Riddhima : Tumhari bua keh rahi thi ki mehendi ka rang agar gehra chhade tho iska mathlab hai ki tumse mujhse bahut pyaar karthe ho...
Sid : Agar aisi baath hai tumhare mehendi ka rang kabhi pheeka padega hi nahi Riddhima... Kyunki main tumse hamesha aur zyaada pyar kartha rahoonga...
Riddhima looks at Sid with teary eys and hugs him...
Sid places a kiss on Riddhima's forehead and says : Good night Riddhima... and he walks out of the door...
Scene V : Morning of the wedding day
Riddhima wakes up feeling excited and nervous at the same time... Sid on teh other hand can't wait for it to be night time... Riddhima spends the entire day in her room and Sid's cousins make sure he doesn't get to see Riddhima at all... Sid is getting more impatient by the minute...
Finally, evening arrives. Sid's cousins are getting him ready while Riddhima's cousins are getting her ready...
Finally, the ceremonies begin. Padma welcomes Sid in with an Aarti and Shashank takes him to the mandap. Sid is waiting for Riddhima impatiently... A couple of minutes later, across the mayhem of the wedding party, Sid feels Riddhima's presence... Padma and Neha accompany her to the mandap.. But Sid'd eyes are fixed on Riddhima... She looks breathtakingly beautiful... Her maroon ghagra choli fit to perfection... her jewellery simple yet beautiful... Her make up enhancing her features... She was glowing... But the glow wasn't because of the make up... It came from within her, from her heart, her soul and spilled out through every pore of her body... The glow came from her love for the man who sat there waiting for her in the mandap... To whom she was going to pledge her love, her life, her heart, her body and her soul forever....
Riddhima sat next to Sid in the mandap but Sid was too mesmerized by her to think or do anything... His mom had to shake him out of his state of awe to get him to start with the marriage procedures... They did the aahuthi, the pheras, Sid tied the mangalsutra around Riddhima's neck, filled her maang with sindoor and this time the tears that welled in Riddhima's eyes were tears of joy.... They took blessings from all their elders and walked back into the house..
(Since this is the Modi's farmhouse, they conduct a grihapravesh here and probably one even at the penthouse later on..)
Sid's mom does the arthi to welcome the newly weds into the house, Riddhima spills the rice in the kalash, immerses her feet in the red colour and walks into the house with Sid...
From then on, Sid's cousins try to keep them apart intentionally... The girls take Riddhima to the wedding room and start teasing her... Riddhima blushes and starts feeling slightly nervous... Neha notices that Riddhima is feeling nervous and asks the girls to quieten and says its time to leave Riddhima alone for some time... They take Riddhima to the bed, make her sit there and go and stand guard in front of the room...
Sid's cousins bring Sid in a couple of minutes later... the girls stop him for their nek and though Sid is willing to pay them, his cousin brothers pick up a fight... Sid finally has to yell to get them to keep quiet... He pays both the guys and the girls and bids them good night...
Sid walks into the room and locks the door behind him... Riddhima jumps up from where she was sitting on the bed... Sid realizes Riddhima is nervous... He walks up to her... Riddhima closes her eyes.. When nothing happens, she opens them and finds Sid taking a pillow and walking away...
Riddhima : Sid tum....
Sid : Doosre kamre mein sone jaa raha hoon...
Riddhima looks at him in disbelief...
Riddhima (angry) : No you are not!!!
She walks up towards him and snatches the pillow from him...
Riddhima : Tum doosre kamre mein sone kyun jaoge??
Sid (acting innocent) : Woh mujhe laga ki tum ready nahi ho Riddhima...
Riddhima : ab isse zyada ready main nahi ho sakthi...
She hugs Sid tightly...
Riddhima (aggressively) : I love you Siddhant Modi.. I love you and I want to be your wife in every sense... Do you get that??
Sid smiles.
Riddhima (irritated) : Ab tum muskura kyun rahe ho??
Sid : Aaj raat mujhe meri chudail Riddhima chahiye thi aur woh mujhe mil gayi..
Riddhima (Angry) : Chudail?! Tumne mujhe chudail kaha??
She hits him with the pillow... Sid tries to dodge the pillow.. and they both run around the whole room... Sid tries to grab Riddhima to get her to stop and they both end up falling on the bed with Riddhima pinned under Sid... Both of them are breathing heavily... slowly, Sid bends his head forward and kisses Riddhima (*liplock*) he kisses her forehead and removes the dupatta and jewellery there.. He kisses each of her ears and removes her jhumke... He kisses down the column of her throat to remove her necklaces... He kisses her hands as he removes the kangan from them... he kisses her feet as he removes her payal... Riddhima's toes curl and her breathing becomes uneven... Sid kisses her again (*liplock*) as the lights start to fade and their images merge into one...
Scene VI : Some time later at night
Riddhima is lying with her head on Sid's chest and Sid is running his fingers through her hair...
Sid : Riddhima, main tho tumse kuch poochna hi bhool gaya
Riddhima : Kya?
Sid : yehi ki tumne dad ko sachayi bathane se mana kyun kiya?
Riddhima (feigning innocence) : kaunsi sachchai??
Sid : arey yahi ki tum pregnant nahi ho??
Riddhima blushes...
Sid : Bathao na...
Riddhima : Sid agar tum mere liye aur mere mama papa ki khushi ke liye ithna kuch kar sakthe ho tho kya main tumhare mom dad ki khushi ke liye kuch nahi kar sakthi??
Sid : Kya mathlab??
Riddhima : Mathlab yeh... (She looks up at Sid) Ki main chahthi hoon ki jo jhoot humne bola hai...
Sid : Hmmm
Riddhima : Main chahthi hoon ki woh sach ho jaaye...
Sid looks at her in surprise...
Sid : Sach mein Riddhima?? Tum sach mein chahthi ho ki...
Riddhima : haan Sid... Main sach mein chahthi hoon ki "modi khandaan ka ansh" mere andar pale...
Sid smiles at her and kisses her forehead...
Riddhima : "Waise Sid, tum mujhe Riddhi hi bulaya karo... I like it when you call me that.."
Sid : Jo hukum mere akka...
Riddhima laughs and Sid captures her laughter in his kiss... (*lights dim out..*)

Scene I : The morning after...
Riddhima wakes up to a bright and beautiful morning... She sits up hugging herself thinking of the night before and blushing... She turns to look at Sid who is still asleep... She moves closer to him and places a kiss on his forehead... As she starts to get off the bed, Sid catches hold of her hand and pulls her towards him... She ends up lying on Sid's chest...
Riddhima : Kya kar rahe ho Sid??
Sid : Kick boxing...
Riddhima : Kya???
Sid : Arey subah subah apni biwi ko bahon mein leke aur kya karoonga?...
Riddhima : Sid tum bhi na... chhodo mujhe...
Sid : Bilkul nahi...
Riddhima : Sid...
Sid : Riddhi...
Riddhima : Achcha bathao mujhe chhodne ka kya loge tum??
Sid smiles a devilish smile and touches his finger to her lips and then to his...
Riddhima blushes and says : Achcha theek hai apni aankhein bandh karo...
Sid closes his eyes...
Riddhima : Aise nahi... tum cheating karoge... Apne haathon se cover karo..
Sid releases his hold on Riddhima's hands to cover his eyes and Riddhima immediately jumps of the bed and out of Sid's reach... Sid realizes that Riddhima had tricked him.
Sid : Riddhi dekho ab tum cheating kar rahi ho...
Riddhima just gives a smirk of satisfaction...
Sid : Ab iska badla tho main lekar hi rahoonga...
Riddhima : Achcha? Woh kaise??
Sid : Ruko tho darling... Din bhar tho mujhse bhaag sakthi ho lekin raath ko kahan jaoogi???
Riddhima blushes...
Riddhima : Main nahane jaa rahi hoon...
Then she spots an envelope lying on the desk which reads "To my dear darling wife Riddhi... "
Riddhima : Yeh kya hai Sid?
Sid : Kholke dekho...
Riddhima opens the envelope... and is surprised seeing what she finds inside...
Riddhima : Sid, yeh...
Sid : Tumhare liye... Hamari shaadi ka tohfa...
Riddhima : lekin Sid yeh tho...
Sid : Haan... Panchgani mein honeymoon package ke tickets hain... Wahi apne Mr aur Mrs Perera ke cottage mein...
Riddhima's eyes fill up and she looks at Sid lovingly...
Sid decides to pull Riddhima's leg and says : "Dekho Mrs. Modi, aap jis tarah se mujhe dekh rahi hain, mujhe aapke irade kuch theek nahi lag rahe... Mana ki main bahut irresistably hot and sexy hoon lekin thoda tho control karo..."
Riddhima (acting angry) throws a cushion at him and runs into the bathroom...
Sid stands there smiling...
Scene II : one month later... Sanjeevani Hospital...
Riddhima is walking through the corridor clutching onto a file... She has a happy look on her face... As if she can't believe something that has happened... She is walking hurriedly down the corridor and suddenly she stops and then starts to walk slowly... She stops a nurse who is passing by and asks "Sister apne Dr. Siddhant ko kahin dekha??" The nurse replies "Ji ma'am, woh children's ward mein hain..." Riddhima smiles and says "Perfect. Thank you sister.."
Riddhima walks into the children's ward to find Sid talking animatedly to a kid sitting on his lap to get the child to have his medicine. She smiles at the rapport Sid shares with the kids. Sid doesn't notice her. Riddhima thinks of something and quickly leaves before Sid notices her.
Later on, Sid finishes his duty and is searching for Riddhima. The nurse at the reception says that Riddhima has already left and she has a left an envelope for him... Sid quickly opens it to find a note from Riddhima saying "Come home fast..."
Sid gets anxious... Why did Riddhima leave without telling me? Why didn't she call? Is everything ok? Why has she asked me to come home fast? He rushes towards his car and drives home as fast as he can...
Scene III : At the Modi Penthouse.
Sid walks in to find the house in darkness... He calls out Riddhima's name "Riddhima! Riddhima! Kahan ho? Tum theek tho ho na???" Riddhima comes up from behind and blind folds Sid... Sid asks "Riddhima???!!! Kya kar rahi ho? Aur yeh sab kya hai? tum mujhe bina bathaye ghar kyun aa gaya??? Aur tumhara woh note?? Kuch tho bolo Riddhima..." Riddhima places her finger on Sid's lips and says "Shhhhh Sid... bahut bolthe ho tum.... Ab chup chaap mere saath chalo..." Sid sighs and says "Yeh sab kya hai Riddhima??" Riddhima says "Maine kaha na... Pls chup chaap mere saath chalo" Siddhant says "lekin tum mujhe kahan leke jaa rahi ho???" Riddhima replies "bathathi hoon, chalo tho sahi..."
Riddhima brings him into a dark room and turns on the light... The room is covered with balloons and red roses and in the centre is a cake and a big parcel all gift wrapped... There are lots of soft toys scattered around the room...
Riddhima slowly unties Sid's blindfold... Sid squints his eyes to the light and then slowly looks around...
Sid : Riddhima aaj mera birthday nahi hai...
Riddhima : Mujhe patha hai...
Sid : Aaj tumhara birthday bhi nahi hai...
Riddhima : Mujhe patha hai...
Sid : hamari wedding anniversary agle mahine hai...
Riddhima : Main jaanthi hoon...
Sid : tho phir yeh sab kya hai??
Riddhima : Kyun? Hum aise hi celebrate nahi kar sakthe?
Sid : Haan... Par.. koi tho wajah ho...
Riddhima smiles at him...
Sid looks around... He spots the soft toys...
Sid : Riddhi, mujhe patha hai ki tumhe soft toys pasand hain, lekin ithne saare???
Riddhima blushes...
Sid spots the big gift wrapped parcel on the table and says "Yeh mere liye??"
Riddhima nods...
Sid : Wow.. tho aaj meri biwi mujhe khush karne ke mood mein hai... (He starts to unwrap the parcel)... Waise Riddhi... Mujhe khush karne ke aur bhi thareeke hain (he winks at her)...
Riddhima : Isse badi aur koi khushi ho hi nahi sakthi...
Sid : Achcha? Aisi baath hai??? Chalo dekhthe hain...
He keeps unwraping one layer after the other... Till in the end he finds a folded sheet of paper... He opens it and reads it.... Then, he looks at Riddhima... Riddhima blushes and looks away... Sid's eyes are wide with shock and filling with tears...
Sid : Riddhima.... yeh... tum..... woh... main....
Riddhima laughs as Sid fumbles with words and nods her head...
Sid drops the sheet of paper and hugs Riddhima tightly...
Riddhima : Haan Sid, tum papa banne waale ho....
Sid lifts Riddhima up in his arms and does a quick twirl...
Sid : Oh my God Riddhi!!! I don't believe this...
Riddhima's eyes fill up with tears...
Sid slowly puts her down and kisses her forehead...
Sid : Tumne sahi kaha Riddhima, isse badi aur koi khushi ho hi nahi sakthi...
He hugs her again...
Riddhima : Ab hum celebrate karein???
Sid : Of course Of course....
They cut the cake and feed each other. Sid puts on music and they slow dance in each other's arms... *Light fades out*
Scene IV : 8 months later... Sanjeevani Hospital
Sid, Shashank, Padma, Sunanda, Shekhar, JP, Jiggy are all standing outside the OT in Sanjeevani. Sid is pacing up and down the corridor like a mad man.
Padma : Sid bete thodi der bait jao.. kal raath se aise hi aage peeche chal raho ho..
Sid : Nahin mom main theek hoon... Dad aapko yakeen hai na Dr. Amitha achchi doctor hain??
Shashank : Sid tum tension math lo.. Dr. Amitha is the best... Agar aisa nahi hotha tho main unhe kabhi apni Riddhima ka case nahi saumptha...
Sid (still not all that convinced) : Phir patha nahi woh ithni der kyun laga rahi hain...
Sid's mom : Shanth ho ja Siddhant... Waqt tho lagega hi... Thode na do minute ka kaam hai....
Sid gets all the more agitated...
Finally, the OT light goes off...
A nurse comes out with a bundle tucked under her arm and says "Mubarak ho Dr. Siddhant, aapko ladki hui hai..." JP says "Arey mubarak ho Sid bhai aapke ghar flower aayi hai..." Jiggy says "Congrats Sid..."
Sid takes the baby from the nurse's arms and looks at her with such tender affection... Just then Dr. Shilpa comes out of the OT with holding another bundle and says "Aur ladka bhi...." The whole family looks at each other in surprise... (Except for Sid, he knew they were having twins... He bends and kisses his son's forehead) JP adds "Phir se Mubarak ho Sid bhaiya aapke ghar tho bhanwara bhi aaya hai" Everyone laughs...
Sid asks Shilpa : Riddhima kaisi hai?
Shilpa : She is perfectly fine... Thodi si kamzor hain but she'll be alright...
Dr. Amitha walks out of the OT and says "Congratulations Dr. Siddhant... Aapke dono bachche aur aapki biwi bhi sahi salamath hain..."
Sid : Kya main Riddhima se mil saktha hoon??
Dr. Amitha : Haan zaroor.. lekin she is really tired tho unhe aaram ki sakth zaroorath hai... So not for too long k?
Sid nods, hands his daughter over to Padma and rushes into the OT.
Riddhima is lying on the bed, connected to the IV, looking really worn out... When Sid walks in she manages to open her eyes and smiles... Sid sits next to her and holds her hand...
Riddhima (in a feeble voice) : Hamare bachche kaise hain??
Sid : Bilkul tumpe gaye hain
Riddhima and Sid smile... Sid kisses Riddhima's forehead...
Riddhima : Tum khush tho ho na??/
Sid : I can't explain ki main kithna khush hoon...
Riddhima smiles and goes back to sleep...
A couple of days later, Riddhima gets discharged from the hospital and Sid and Riddhima bring their kids home... Riddhan and Suhana.... The Modis and the Guptas welcome the kids into the home... Later that night as Sid and Riddhima sit watching their kids sleep, Riddhima looks up at Sid and says "I love you Sid"... Sid pulls Riddhima close and says "I love you too Riddhi.. and you are mine forever...."
